Have been trying to get into this park for some time. Great location and great views. Pulled into our site and had peakaboo view of water. Paved walking path directly in front of park. Could walk for days. The check in was the most efficient in 6 yrs of full time rv. All hook ups were perfect. Tiny store and gift shop in office. Boat ramp near clubhouse. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Big rig (63') friendly. Stayed here mid week, off season, in a pull-in, bay front site with an amazing view. The east section was maybe 10% occupied (booked on weekends) while the other section was full. Walking/biking trails out our front door. Only negative I can think of is a bit of traffic noise but not enough to be a deal breaker. Someone else mentioned the negative view of the refinery, which my husband, who's career was in the oil industry, loved. Different strokes for different folks. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Big park with two sections. One section is nicer and on the water more with better views and just a nicer feel. We were in the other section that was tighter and closer to highway 20 so more noise. I would try and get the bay section. Either way, being right there at the bay was nice. The beach area is great for sup boarding and saw seals toward the marina. Utilities good and verizon signal was excellent so no worries with the useless wifi (like almost all places we stay). We would stay again if in the area. Very busy so need to book early and cannot use the outside spaces if you are not a Class A or C. A little tight getting in and out of spaces and parking but doable and worth it for the area. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great fish and chips and fried oysters everywhere - Bob's Chowder House is excellent and good value. AKT kayaking was really good. During the week even in July could get last minute reservations. Lots of others in the area. Make sure u go to the islands using the ferry from Anacortes. Easy to take your car and site see or just walk on and go to Friday Harbor - there are bus services when you get there if you want to venture out of Friday Harbor - one small price gets you to all the islands

This is our second time here in a 42 foot class A motorcoach towing a small car. This park is clean, orderly, well-cared for. You are right on the water of Fidalgo Bay - you can see tankers, fishing boats and pleasure craft. It is located on a paved bike trail, 2.1 miles into Anacortes - nice seaside town with interesting shops and restaurants and great farmers market. Down side is the size of the sites. Ours was 62 feet - adequate length for a pull-through - but so close side to side that we were within a couple of inches of taking out our neighbor's awning to maneuver into the site. We had to struggle with our position on the site so we could deploy our slides and not hit those same awnings. When we originally drove to our assigned site, it was still occupied. Park staff handled this well and were able to accommodate us in another site. It seems in really well-run parks, staff come around and check on site availability at check-out time to avoid this kind of trouble. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed on the waterfront sites. Pull the motor home in and have a majestic view of the bay and Mt. Baker in the distance. Refinery is in the front of the view, but it barely detracts from the awesomeness. Site is a little tight but surrounded by grass. Real green this time of year. Nice playground for the kids and hiking trails. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here and went to the Skagit Tulip Festival. It is about 15 miles from the park. The park has a good number of seasonal renters. Has a number of cabins. The RV sites are extemely small. Parking is scarce and movement within the park is tight and cramped. Roads are dirt. Sites dirt. There is a nice clubhouse on site that is never used. Nice barbeque facilities that are never used.

The ocean front sites are all pull ins and require a class A to be usable. RIG BIAS!!!

There is a great walking and biking path out over the bay that is fun. Wifi worked ok. Verizon worked okay. Satellite was easy to get going.

Supplies easy to get in Anacortes about 5 minutes away. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is in very good shape. New water outlets on posts. Interior roads good. Washington has had a very wet winter. Cell service good, wifi still iffy, cable we don't use. My site needed very little leveling. I wish people would be better at cleaning up after their pets here. We always enjoy the friendly staff, and the adventures via biking to town, or one of the islands. Will be back again. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

We asked for a larger space with cabana and were told none were available for the time we were staying - there were at least 7 open during our entire stay. Our grandchildren visited us for a few hours, so we had to park our truck in spaces by the office, only to get a nasty note that it was for only 1 hour parking. TV/cable reception and selection are awful. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

My husband and I brought our grandkids to this resort. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The bath/shower houses were extremely clean and organized. The resort was having a pumpkin carving party on the weekend we were there, and the staff made us feel so welcome and supplied the pumpkins and carving supplies! Excellent experience for the whole family! Highly recommended! We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The staff warned us to be sure to take the first Fidalgo Bay Rd exit off of SR 20 and we are so glad they did! The second exit was impossible for anyone to turn right at. So kudos to the staff for the forethought to give us a heads up, since this was our first, BUT NOT LAST, visit to their resort.

The waterfront sites have a nice 3/4 few, only the refinery on the right side spoil the last 1/4.
The wifi signal was good but the low speed make it useless, Wochenende used our cell phone as a hotspot.
The AT&T signal was 3 bars LTE on my iPhone. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our 4th time here. We have always had waterfront spots. They are the best, We probably would not come if we were not waterfront. Sunny and open, gravel surface with a picnic table.

The off waterfront spots are OK if you are near the Bay. The spots up in the "Ghetto" are not all that great. We made our reservation over one year in advance. We found out when we left the waterfront is completely booked for August 2017. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

When coming onto the island, take Spur 20 and the Fidelgo Bay road. Road is narrow, and there is a section that is not very good. Main internal road is paved, but roads leading to sites and the sites themselves are gravel but pretty level. There was some dust. This is a two part resort. The original part is adjacent to the water (there is a refinery across the bay) and has a gravel beach. The clubhouse is in this area. The second area is closer to the main entrance. Best sites, if you cannot get on the water, are the east facing pull in sites in the older part since you are looking at a green belt. The green belt contains the Thompson bike and walking path that runs about 5 miles total and its about 2.5 miles into town. Staff was great; very helpful with directions and suggestions. This park is about 10 minutes from downtown Anacordes. No off leash dog park, but there is a large grassy area to walk them, and you can walk them along the Thompson trail (but watch for the herds of rabbits and feral cats if you dogs will chase them). Utilities were good. Wifi was strong and cable was clear. We would stay here again. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try the Rockfish Pub downtown for supper. Its busy, get there around 5 pm. Used Island Adventures for a whale watching tour & it was very good. Don't worry about the refinery - it does not stink and at night the lights look quite nice. If you end up with a chip on the windshield from all the construction on the roads in WA, try Novus glass repair. They are on island. Take a couple of days and drive thru the islands and try the ferries.

If you like on the ocean, this is a good campground. Nice gravel pads, little road noise. Do not accept Good Sam, but does offer veteran discount. Centrally located for Fidalgo Island and whale tours. Bathrooms are individual rooms which is nice. Would stay here again. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park is right on the water and close to town. The Wi-Fi worked great as did the cable. The park has several waterfront spots with beautiful views. The rest of the park is just a row back from the water. The staff is friendly and helpful. The spots were long enough and wide enough for our 43' coach with 4 slide outs, and the tow car. I would not hesitate to come back to this place and stay longer. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.
