They rate themselves as a 5 star resort...... more like a 1 star gravel pit! Dirt roads = lots of dust. Drivers speed through the park stirring up dust. There was a few golf carts & ATVs ripping around as well like it was a race track. Contacting security to complain was a waste of time. The sites are perfectly spaced, if you'd like to read your neighbors newspaper from within your own RV. Our site was a back in, not level and very poor power. The water tap is shared with the site beside, which is OK if either has a hose splitter to share the tap. Sewer hookups were not positioned very well. People seem to let their dogs drop their turds anywhere, the ones that do pick up after their pets toss their little poo bags under parked Canadian RV's. Bathrooms & showers were not very clean, but that's really the patrons. I wonder if they live in filth in their own homes? Didn't get a chance to try the pool but it seemed to look OK. The kids pool was busy. Can't remember what we paid, my wife takes care of that. The owners seem to be content with their membership campers to bother upgrading/fixing the park so there's nothing really there to make it an enjoyable stay for us. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We are members but it was the first time we came to this campground. First impressions were poor. But the place grew on us as we were there. We enjoyed the kids running around and playing, even though we didn't have one of our own. There are a lot of activities and the pools are very nice. Birch Bay State Park is probably less than a mile away, Nice place to spend the day, but not walking distance. In general, the campground is not a bad place to visit. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Good: Price Bad: Children everywhere, zipping in and out of moving rvs and cars. Scraped motorhome on low hanging branches. "Pick your own site" system has tents in the 50 amp spaces and rvers driving around. Buddy system sites in most of the park so you are directly beside your neighbor. You are allowed to depart any time of the day on your departure date so families leaving stay until 6 pm or so and then the incoming reservations have to go to dry camping and wait until the park empties out. The sites are allowed one rv and 10 guests per site. It was simply a free for all environment. People burning campfires even tho explicit signs saying fire hazard. Employee walking around looking for a couple of "older boys" who were selling STUFF to "young kids". Very poorly run. Would not stay again. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The security here at Beachwood are not good people in my opinion. I was in the hospital and asked if a security guard could watch over my dog. He agreed well while we were gone he apparently allowed other staff to enter our RV and other security guards without calling and asking or letting my husband and I know. We had an agreement that if he couldn't do it himself he was to call and we would figure it out but no we had came back and noticed they not only damaged something of mine but something of $20+ value was missing. When we talked to administration and told them we wanted to file a complaint they threatened the cops and then banned us from the property. So we called the sheriff ourselves and filed a report. That's not all, the guy who did our original contract didn't turn in our contract to administration for almost a month so they came to our RV threatening to call the cops for SQUATTING so we showed our contract and she hasn't received the money or the contract and no idea we were there. So she redid our contract and then this. Worse place to ever come. The pools aren't clean the bathrooms aren't clean and they don't clean up the site after someone else was just there. It's nothing like the pictures at all. It's horrible. Worst RV park I've ever been to. And once they wanted us to leave they treated us like complete crap. They made it very difficult to grab our stuff and leave in a timely manner or leave in a nice manner. They where very rude and disrespectful once we wanted to file that complaint. In my opinion NEVER GO HERE EVER!!! We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not come here your place will be ransacked and your items that they think they can get away with will be stolen while u are gone if u do not lock it up. Same with vehicles. This is the staff and security we are talking about and administration won't do anything about it except ban you if you tell them you will file a complaint against them

Membership park and since we only paid $1 per night, we got what we paid for: back-to-back hookups, children running through sites at will, no parents in site, blowing trash, lots of trucks that apparently have no mufflers.

Convenient to Vancouver for day trips, Mt. Baker, Bellingham and visiting friends. With a little effort, management could make it a great park, but refuse to do so. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We had a beautiful site, grassy and forested with tall trees. You can see the big, blue bay through the pine trees. The site is not very level, our R front tire was off the ground. There is a lot to do here. Swimming pools (one for adults only, and they enforce it), hot tub, tennis, pickleball, horse shoes.

The bathrooms/showers are huge! They are a little shabby, needing a coat of paint, the floors are concrete and always wet because people who've been in the pool use them. The walls are nicely tiled and painted, though.

We have a 50 amp rig but we used our adaptor for 30 amps and it worked OK.

You need a really long, waste tank hose. We had to use an extension. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We camped at Beachwood throughout the summer/fall of 2015, and are geared to do the same for summer/fall of 2016. We find the staff to be very courteous and helpful. We agree that there can be some updating of the present facilities, both in the washrooms and the children's clubhouse. Re: the children's clubhouse, perhaps some more attention can be paid to the cleanliness. We do realize though, that there are parents who seem to walk away from the food mess and upheaval their little ones create. Staff can't be in every place at the same time. As for the gravel roads, as long as drivers stick to the lower speed, dust is minimal. The area that we choose to camp is considerably quiet considering there are children riding bikes and having fun. We are a bit disappointed that wifi is not a part of the park package, instead it's an extra user purchase. But we have been assured that the management is working to make wifi accessible at no cost to park users. We love the fact that we feel safe within the park, and our 4 yr. old granddaughter loves to come camping with us, as there is so much for her to do. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the ocean, and who doesn't benefit from that kind of a walk. Two seniors and a little doggie are happy campers ! The little store and laundromat are a bonus !( We added the 1.00 nightly rate as there was no choice for membership) We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We booked this park through our Coast to Coast membership. When we arrived we were told to drive around and find a site, then come back and register. In other words, we were not promised a site that matched our reservation request, even though we had already paid for the week. We finally found a site that would fit our 38 ft rig, but all the sites are very narrow, and the roads are dirt and gravel and very dusty. The staff doesn't seem to do a very good job of cleaning up the grounds as there were plastic bags and paper in the shrubbery and the area around the dumpsters was a real mess. Although we didn't use them, the pool and club house look to be very nice. The camp store is large and very well stocked. I don't think we will stay at this park again. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We were told that during peak season management now puts Affiliates in a lot at the far end of the park, away from the pools and playground, which meant we had to drive to the amenities with our young grandchildren. No sewer or water hookup, just 30 amp power, which was adequate for our 3 day stay. Many of the regular sites in the park were vacant throughout our stay. No apparent enforcement of quiet time rules. Show cost as $1 as it would not let me enter ROD rate which is free. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A poorly administered and maintained RV campground. Everything beyond the swimming pool area and recreational complex is sub par. Check in lacks signage, you are left to find your own site and they have no idea which sites are available. Washrooms are dingy, dark and dirty. There needs to be additional washrooms for the number of people using the park. Picnic tables are rotten or rotting. Interior roads are full of potholes and dusty. Wi-Fi is spotty at best, available only at the clubhouse, and cable TV reception is limited. Sites are too close together and utilities are poorly situated. The clubhouse, pool, and recreational area is the only saving feature of this campground. It seems that there have been assurances and promises of upgrades and improvements but nothing ever seems to happen. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Signage at entrance doesn't tell you where to turn- hint go to the 'shack' not the office looking building. Staff ok but expect that everyone knows everything and has been there numerous times. Being told to go find something wasn't helpful. If going again we would look at G section first for a 2 week stay. Pull throughs are side-by-side utilities and not much room. Might come back. Very friendly staff at check in. Nice sized pull through with full hook up and cable TV. WiFi only worked in the clubhouse. We played tennis on one of 4 courts. It's just up the road from the waterfront.Nice location. We have stayed in Blaine before at another RV resort. This is much better and we will return here. We came without reservations but were told it should not be a problem, it was craziness, one person told us we were on a waiting list the next you had to come each morning and check. We landed in dry camping where everyone just did there own thing, this is geared to family camping and kids, no real adult activities planned, as for wifi don't plan on it , when resort is booked u can not get on, for just celebrating 33 years you would think they would upgrade, the sites are ok some. Close some it so close, will we come again probably not. As I have told my husband thank goodness we did not pay full price for the membership, am so disappointed of what we have come across. Trying to figure out want a 5 star resort should be. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We camped here for free for 2 nights in return for a sales pitch. Dusty sites, and you're either in total darkness or in the parking lot. The cabins look like they belong in the 6o's and for $50 it's expensive. Our biggest complaint is about the sales staff. When we told them we decided against purchasing (after the sales pitch), we didn't only not get the "gifts" we were promised ($50 gas card and some other stuff) but got the cold shoulder and were not feeling very welcome. We left as soon as we could. The facilities are just OK, a bit too strict on the kids and the kids club was not in great shape. Not a 5 star, KOA's will give you better value for the dollar. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here in late September so it wasn't real crowded. In the summer you probably would have other RV's very close to you. Loop G has more space between sites and we would stay in that section next time. Most sites are only 30 amps and electrical boxes are kind of old. In B Loop where we stayed sites could be improved with grading. It appears that quite a few people live here full time, but I don't know that for sure. The store, playground, and pools seem fine and there is a large park area for kids. This time of year it was very quiet and its location to go to Canada or to the Mt. Baker area is good. As Coast to Coast members, we would stay here again this time of year. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.
