There is a big open field in the middle between all the campsites and several bike trails through the area. It's a pretty, and a relaxing place. However the only dump station nearby is at the same business that runs the laundry. Both are expensive. We camped at Tolt-MacDonald Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go and see Snoqualmie Falls, it's free.

This is a very small campground. All sites are pull-through off the circle drive so they are an odd shape. Full hook ups. Very quiet. There is a historical bridge on the property over a river. Very pretty. The sites aren't quite level. Verizon signal was excellent. We camped at Tolt-MacDonald Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fantastic campground, and is one of our favorites so far. The RV part of the campground is 16 sites, all crescent pull-throughs along the outside edge of a giant loop with a huge grass field in the middle. This means we had other RVs about 30 feet behind us and in front of us, but none on either side of us. The camping side of each site has a grass area with picnic table and fire ring but a heavily wooded border, so we had nearly complete privacy during our stay. It's a short walk down to the Tolt river where our dogs went swimming every day among various families staying at the campground or using the river for day use. The sites along the west side (the river) have good shade in the late afternoon and the most privacy. To sum up, it's a beautiful nature setting with huge sites, lots of grass and trees, very dog friendly, and has an accessible river with beach to top it all off. The park was sold out for the weekend but there were always sites available during weekdays. We made a reservation for a week (discounted weekly rate shown above, no extra taxes/fees), which is the maximum time you can stay in one site. Sites have 50 amp and water, but no sewer. There is a $9 commercial dump station (cash only via honor system envelopes) at the park exit. One downside is that there is only one shower per gender at the bathhouse, so we often had to wait quite a while for showers. Also, they clean the bathrooms once a day. With all the campers, that meant the showers got dirty quickly. We had very strong AT&T signal, our Verizon worked but was a little weak. Also be sure to note that the park gates are locked at 10 PM during the summer. We had to cut short an evening out with friends to ensure we made it back in time. Not only would we stay here again, we're looking forward to it! We camped at Tolt-MacDonald Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If arriving/departing via NE Tolt Hill Road like we did, be aware that it has a two mile 9% upgrade and two mile 9% downgrade with many sharp curves. We managed it fine in our motorhome, but you'll want to take it very slowly on the descent.

There are few NICE options for camping near Seattle. I've done exhaustive hunting, but I finally found this awesome campground. Beautiful beyond speaking, it is a jewel in a county known for pride in service to its citizens. For RVers, all 16 sites are crescent pull-throughs spaced around a large loop surrounding a beautiful green sward of grass in the middle of which is a nice restroom with one shower per gender. Exceedingly well maintained, this park is in the cute little town of Carnation with a grocery store and a Starbucks (Free Wi-Fi) only about a half mile away. The park is absolutely full on summer weekends, but practically empty during the week. It is on the Tolt River and surrounded by Washington's gorgeous forests. A separate area across a footbridge has the Yurts and a few tent sites, and there are also a few tent sites near, but separate from the RV area. We look forward to visiting this park again. We camped at Tolt-MacDonald Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Has only a few RV sites, this is a nice quiet park, with helpful staff. The Snoqualmie River is part of the park, and it has several nearby trails and walking areas. There is no WiFi, but the Carnation Library has free WiFi. No dump station. The best sites are the west sites. We camped at Tolt-MacDonald Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
