This park is 8 years old and one of the nicest we have stayed in. There is over two miles of paved roads for bike riding. They also have .5 mile gravel trail to the river with "entertainment" along the way , rope swings, climbing bars, regular swings and several other things that I don't know what they are called. There are many amenities for families, pool, hot tub, sauna, dog wash, big field house for basketball, disc golf, outdoor movie house, community fire rings and many sites had in ground fire rings. However there is a big drawback and why we will not return. It is located between I-5, so there is always road noise when you are outside your rig, and train tracks. The train tracks were the killer for us as there are two sets of tracks and more often than not trains would pass each other right as they passed the park and made the ground and rig shake. The northbound trains always blew their whistles just as they passed our site and the trains seemed to pass during the day every half hour and at night about an hour to an hour and a half--so way too many trains for us! If you were outside when they passed you had to stop talking because no one could hear you. We talked to several other folks who were camping (we were there over Labor Day weekend so the place was surprisingly full) and if you are parked closer to the clubhouse the train whistles are not heard so much but then you are above I-5 so really have road noise as the sound goes up. We had a house about two blocks from a train track but there were only about three trains a day/night and only occasionally did the house shake when a really heavy train went by so we figured the trains wouldn't bother us--WRONG!

All the staff were very pleasant and we had a huge site -1oo ft long with our front in the trees and our back in the sun. The kids we saw didn't seem to notice the trains or traffic but it was not for us. The restrooms are individual like a house with shower, sink and toilet in one. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a great spot! We have stayed here before and are never disappointed. Large, level sites with good utilities. Amenities look good even though we did not use them. Other reviews talk about the train noise but we did not find it offensive. It was fun to watch the trains go by; they did not bother us at night. Great location for visiting Mount St Helens. Lots of stuff for the kids, if you have them with you. Super place to have a rally. Roads are wide and easy to navigate. We will return again. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Disappointed in this park after reading the reviews. Check-in staff was extremely nice, roads were good and easy to navigate, site was level and easy in-and-out. Utilities worked well, but WiFi and antenna-TV were poor. Last 3 or 4 rows on north end had weeds a foot high, looked very unkempt. Very dicey-looking people in tents near showers on our second night would have made us afraid to use the restrooms if we'd needed to. Our hot water went out so we had to use campground's showers, which were appalling. 2 out of 3 didn't work at all and the 3rd was so bad we could hardly get rinsed. Not what one would expect for $40/night. Neighbors left their 2 big aggressive dogs tied outside so we couldn't walk our dog anywhere she could be seen by them or they'd lunge at her (and they broke loose 3 times that we saw). I-5 was noisy on the east, trains were very noisy on the west. Unlike another reviewer who wasn't bothered by the trains, we were. Counted at least 9 in the first few hours we were there. They shook our 5th wheel they were so close and they blew their whistles right when they reached the campground. Lots of permanent rigs so not everyone is bothered by the noise. They can't do anything about the noise but the condition of the showers was inexcusable. We would absolutely not stay here again. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Flat, level, gravel, pull through site surrounded by grass. The site was about 80 feet long. Our site had a BBQ, picnic table and a fire pit. There is a well stocked store and the staff was helpful in planning site seeing excursions. There is freeway noise and train noise. I am a sound sleeper so the train noise and whistle did not bother me. The freeway noise varies depending on the level of traffic. The park has many amenities that we did not use. Very convenient to the freeway. I stayed here three nights while exploring the area. I would stay here again. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I take my Grandboys camping here every August for 4 years now. They like the pool, riding their bikes, and the play areas.

The biggest thing is to get use to the freeway noise and the noise from the train on the other side of the park. After the first night I was able to sleep through the noise.

I was very unhappy with the $20.00 fee for visitors. My two children live close by and I like to have a night where they come and we all have dinner together. It didn't happen because that fee is too steep. ☹️

The camping fee is also more than most places I stay. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The good news is that this is a well kept park with lots of nice landscaping, nice pool and spa, gate house, paved roads and friendly/helpful staff. There are a lot of activities on the weekend and the park was quiet during the week EXCEPT for the train that goes through frequently. It was extremely loud and even shook our 40 ft RV. The good news was that we were so close to the train that we didn't hear the freeway noise on the other side of the park. But a good set of ear plugs let us sleep fine. It is a good location for visiting Mount St. Helens and you can walk down to the river, which is nice. A couple nights here was fine. They really have a great park here except for the train and freeway noise. Verizon cell and air card worked well here. Our water was a funny color... yellowish brown. That bothered me more than the noise. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park, paved roads, lots of sites, nice store with basic necessities, pool, sauna, spa, secured... On the negative side: busy on weekend, kids on electric scooters and bikes all over the roads, hard to get a satellite shot from some sites, I've never seen this many dogs off lead hanging out. Overall it is a good park for the money. Full hookups, reliable electricity, relatively high water pressure. The water is a bit tea colored. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have a 45' motor home and must be level in order to extend our slides. Our size and leveling limitations eliminates many choices of locations. This is a difficult park to rate because it has one BIG drawback. The train runs right beside the park and blows its whistle (day & night) for a nearby crossing. And, there are MANY trains. Take away the tracks and this would be a 9 or 10 rating in my book. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 3 nights while exploring Mt. St. Helens - a must to see the volcano. Sites were well spaced between RV's and the RV Resort offered many activities (pool, disc golf, dog bath area, movie pavilion, etc.). We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful well maintained park with paved roads, gravel, level sites with fire rings. Nice trail to the Toutle River and 54 miles to Mt. St. Helen. Lots of activities, spa, pool, sauna and terrific campground store. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Only knock is its sandwiched between the railroad tracks and the expressway. But we're used to that. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Appearance is very good despite extreme drought. Excellent paved roads and long sites. Some sites are not satellite friendly. The only real downside is busy railroad within 100 ft. We use noise machine at night so trains didn't bother us. Nice fitness trail and store. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the type of RV park we would stay for only one night as we pass through. It is flanked on one side by the noisy traffic of the I-5 freeway and on the other side by train tracks. Trains go by All Night Long and they blow their horns and shake the place so much you feel like you're in an earthquake! The grass was all dead during our stay, so the views weren't too nice. There were some sites with large trees next to them for shade, but we didn't get one of those. There's a river nearby, but we didn't have a chance to see it. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Trees overhanging roads, dry grass everywhere, the only green was the weeds. Like others have said the noise from the freeway and the train is bad. There are approximately two trains an hour during the day, and one an hour at night. This could be a 10 if it was in another location with less noise and was maintained correctly. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an OK park. But I will not be staying here again. Why? Trains and smoke. The train noise is loud but the main thing that annoyed me was that as the trains passed by the ground shook. Not a lot but it was like being on a boat in slightly choppy water. The park has fire pits, which create smoke. Even when there were no fires going we could smell the smoke. The park can't do anything about the trains but they could remove the fire pits. On the positive side there was good 50 amp electric, adequate water, and a good tight sewer connection. Were it not for the trains and the smoke I would give the park a 9. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.
