Stayed one night. Large park. Well run. Good location for visiting Mt. St. Helens. A bit pricey for a freeway park. Good Verizon. No cable. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice, large park that is in a pie shape. We were initially offered a site quite near the freeway, so asked to be moved to a site deeper in the park, with a little less freeway noise. Lots of trees and grass, depending on where you are located in the park. Many amenities, as the website will inform. WARNING: there are train tracks directly behind the park, with the accompanying noise and horns at all hours of the day and night. If this will bother you, best find another park. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful huge park with FHU pull through and back in sites; good electric and semi-OK water quality (comes from well, would advise using a water filter); tent camping. Lots of activities - volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, playground. Wifi & phone reception good; TV Antenna reception OK (no cable). Huge field to play games and ride bikes. One end has a fitness trail that goes down to the river. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park is high class. One of the best you'll find. The only caveat is the noisy freeway on one side and busy railroad on the other. We came here because the kids wanted to swim. The outdoor pool was clean and so was the hot tub. We also used the barrel Sauna and it was excellent. Grounds are well maintained, and paved roads are in superb condition. The passing trains shake RVs, and make lots of noise. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Large, modern park with blacktop internal road system. As we maneuvered our 38' MH around, it at first appeared as if turns would be tight and trees would be in the way but actually there was room to turn without any difficulty nor did any of the tree branches come close (except pulling into our site). The gravel/grass site was relatively level. Water pressure was good and the taste was OK. Plenty of room to park our towed behind our MH. With awning out there was still 10-15' to the adjacent site. Verizon voice/data was average. We never were able to hook up to their wi-fi network. As we were told when we made the reservation and again when we checked in, the park is between the interstate and a frequently used railroad track. The composition of the underlying ground must be such that it easily transmits the rumble of the train going past as one could readily feel the vibrations even in the motorhome. Since we knew beforehand about the trains we were mentally prepared and it did not bother us. We arrived in the morning hoping to at least be able to park our motorhome somewhere in the park as we visited Mt. St. Helens. When we checked in our site was available and they let us setup before we headed out. This campground worked great for us to stay one night and visit Mt. St. Helens. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Big campground.....some of the sites have tall, tall beautiful trees and others are more open. Since we wanted to use our Direct TV, they moved us to a more open one. It was perfect. Looks like a lot of seasonal or full-timers there but everyone was very friendly and it was pretty quiet. It's situated right next to I-5 so there's some dull road noise present but with all the trees, it's buffered. We've always lived near train tracks so they don't bother us but there are tracks/train whistles next to the campground. Roads were easy to navigate & utilities were perfectly placed. NO campfires allowed at the present due to the continuing drought. We would stay here again. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

About 240 sites that they are trying to fill with park models or "tiny houses". Less than half the sites were filled. They do have lots of facilities such as pickleball and volleyball, but you need to bring all the players you need as they do not organize anything. Big playground for kids. The sites need some maintenance. The utilities are strangely placed. The water is very near the front of the site, the sewer near the center and the electric near the rear. We needed three sewer hoses to reach the sewer and all the electrical cable to reach the electric pedestal. Our picnic table was flaking off paint so we did not use it. The only sites that had green grass were those occupied by permanent or long term guests. This could be a really nice destination park with a little effort. The highway noise is only a low background rumble and was not too noticeable. While the trains do run along the west side of the property only the northbound trains blow their whistle and only after they have passed the park. You do feel the vibration but it was not bad. Easy off and on to I-5. Wifi worked well most of the tine. Verizon worked ok. We used satellite for tv. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This place has lots to offer! It's great for families who like to camp and have activities for the kids. If I was a 9 year old kid, it would be paradise! You can ride your bikes all over the place on the many paved roads in the various rows of streets. Great accessible trail to the river and a fun river to explore and skip rocks in! A beautiful pool area and pool warm and clean! Nic group BBQ and refrig next to pool. Lots of activities . Covered basketball courts, pickle ball. Private bathrooms. Two separate buildings. 6 total bathrooms. Sites are gravel with brown grass, but our site level. I think for a campground like this, well manicured green lawns are a waste of money. I've seen too many seniors letting their dogs pee on the grass and ruin it. They have good rules for those that don't have common courtesy and common sense. And unlike a national rv chain that spells camping with a k, they actually have nice folks cursing around in golf carts enforcing the lease laws, etc. I appreciate that. I was surprised with all the families and limited tv, that the WIFI was so good! Nice and strong at all hours. Now the not so good news.... the trains! We wont be back because hubbie can't sleep through the train noise and whistles. In the bathroom, when the train goes by, the building does vibrate. The woman on the phone tried to give us a place away from trains, but it didn't really help. The farther you get from train ,closer you get to hwy 5 traffic. I'm amazed at most of the rvs are placed closest to the traintracks. Maybe, monthly rent is very cheap or they are deaf. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Had full-service, gravel sites. Water and sewer not next to each other. Niced paved roads, easily accessible from freeway. Other services included pool, laundry, lots of outdoor activities available. Prominent train and freeway noise. Can hear trains overnight. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Easy check in. Our site was dead-on level when we backed in! Well maintained campground. 1/2 mile walking trail to the Toutle River. Good Verizon MIFI reception but we used their free WIFI instead. Dog wash was great for our lab. RV wash station available, too. In addition to the nice pool and hot tub they have available two barrel type saunas available for free. Movies outside at night for the kids. Large play area at the north end of the park. Compared with some places we have previously camped, the trains at this location were not an issue to us and we barely heard the freeway from our site. We would definitely stay here again. This park has asphalt roads with gravel one lane sites. Easy to maneuver off I-5 and in and out of site. Our site had a low spot that lifted a tire with our leveler jacks. The park has a lot of facilities available for activities. There is a tent area too. There is no cable TV. Over the air TV was there, but sketchy. The stations were far off. They charged us $10 per day extra for additional vehicle. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 3 nights in a 42' fifth wheel. The sites are big rig friendly, easy to get into & level. The campground is attractively landscaped & well maintained. Did not use the washrooms but looked in. They were clean. Did not see the showers. There is very small fenced dog area & dogs are made welcome through out the park. There is an outside dog wash! The river walk is approximately 1/2 mile long & has exercise stations along the way. We used the laundry facilities, not many but clean & fairly priced. We did hear the trains. They are frequent. We did not notice the traffic sounds. Employees say some sites have traffic noise others have train noise. It didn't keep us awake at night. It did not interrupt conversation. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here 2 nights so we could visit the Mt. St. Helens area. Our site was long enough but extra sewer hose was needed to get to the drain. The park is between I-5 and the BNSF rail line, so there is a fair amount of road/train noise, but not too bothersome at night. A few park cabins are available for residency and appear to be nice. The park is nicely landscaped. There are rally buildings in the front. In the back of the park, the grass needed mowing around sites, but maybe that was due to recent rains. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is 8 years old and one of the nicest we have stayed in. There is over two miles of paved roads for bike riding. They also have .5 mile gravel trail to the river with "entertainment" along the way , rope swings, climbing bars, regular swings and several other things that I don't know what they are called. There are many amenities for families, pool, hot tub, sauna, dog wash, big field house for basketball, disc golf, outdoor movie house, community fire rings and many sites had in ground fire rings. However there is a big drawback and why we will not return. It is located between I-5, so there is always road noise when you are outside your rig, and train tracks. The train tracks were the killer for us as there are two sets of tracks and more often than not trains would pass each other right as they passed the park and made the ground and rig shake. The northbound trains always blew their whistles just as they passed our site and the trains seemed to pass during the day every half hour and at night about an hour to an hour and a half--so way too many trains for us! If you were outside when they passed you had to stop talking because no one could hear you. We talked to several other folks who were camping (we were there over Labor Day weekend so the place was surprisingly full) and if you are parked closer to the clubhouse the train whistles are not heard so much but then you are above I-5 so really have road noise as the sound goes up. We had a house about two blocks from a train track but there were only about three trains a day/night and only occasionally did the house shake when a really heavy train went by so we figured the trains wouldn't bother us--WRONG!

All the staff were very pleasant and we had a huge site -1oo ft long with our front in the trees and our back in the sun. The kids we saw didn't seem to notice the trains or traffic but it was not for us. The restrooms are individual like a house with shower, sink and toilet in one. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.
