We stayed in a 28' travel trailer. Sites are beautiful but somewhat unlevel. We arrived on a Tuesday but all sewer sites were taken. We managed to move to a sewer site after a week. Staff was nice but very small. Electric service is old with many of the pedestals flagged as unusable. Our neighbor and us could not run AC at the same time because both the 30 and 50 amp plug-ins would overheat if we did. Our separate electric boxes would only show 104 volts with both ACs running. The park maintenance man told us the electric system was old and not wired adequately years ago. The "honey wagon" for $25 has been discontinued and now, non-sewer campers are instructed to call a private septic service that charges $48 plus tax to empty your tanks. This is however, a beautiful campground and as long as you realize it's limitations and the fact that TT seems to be cutting back on the spending here, you may enjoy your stay. We have decided not to stay here in the future. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Arrive here as early in the day as possible because sewer sites fill up within minutes of someone pulling out. Also, try not to be at the far end of an electrical circuit.

Tired of manicured, big-city RV parks? Come here for the feel of camping in the woods, and even mountain views from some sites. However, it was disconcerting to be told to just drive around and find a site, without any advice as to availability of one with sewer (which we did not find). The paved roads were easy to drive, but the poor signage caused a couple of wrong turns, including into a parking lot where we had to unhook our towed car to extricate ourselves. Our grass site was just large enough for our 38' MH and car, but at least 4" off-level font-to-rear. Electric hookup was only 30 amps, and was located so close to the road that we had to use an extra extension. There was no sewer hookup. We didn't use the water hookup. There was no WiFi at our site, though we could connect at the lodge. Bathrooms felt old and tired, but were clean. We didn't use the laundry. Overall, we thought the price was high for the level of service and amenities. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

We were at this campground after it had gone into "limited" service for the winter, meaning that there were some loops that were closed and not many activities going on. We were lucky to find a full hookup site (30A) - there are limited sewer sites, so we were glad to be able to get one. Because the sewer sites are almost all in one section, that area of the campground is pretty much 100% occupied. The campground is nicely wooded and nice to walk around in. At this time of year, it was very quiet. Because we are Thousand Trails Courtesy Card holders, our nightly rate was $0. A general suggestion for staying at Thousand Trails - since you get to pick from whatever sites are available when you arrive, arriving the day that most others are leaving is advantageous. We have found that the worst days to arrive are Friday or Saturday. For us, the best days to arrive are Mondays and Thursdays. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Pros: Sites are widely spaced, the adult pool and spa is very nice, its in the trees, surrounded by hiking trails - although a bit overgrown, it's quiet... The cons: the power is lousy - gotta watch what you turn on. Limited sewer sites, old restrooms (but clean), lots of the sites are far from level. Family pool area is huge but looked a bit green. The family lodge has seen better days. The store has limited hours (this is august after all). Everything needs repair and maintenance (as most TT places we've experienced). We got a sewer site only because we moved the minute somebody left. As usual, no one could tell us if there was any sewer sites available at the gate so we had to discover that for ourselves and when you're wandering with a large motorhome, it kinda sucks. So, we disconnected at the adult pool complex (it's level) and used the toad to scout out a level site. F5 is pretty level and right across from the restrooms... for a shower (has no sewer). The women's shower in this restroom is brand new. We hadn't been here before; the roads can be confusing. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

The entire facility just recently recovered from an EXTENDED down time due to water issues. With this down time the corporation let the sites go bad with blackberries and low hanging tree limbs. However, for the 300 plus sites there is now an ongoing slow trimming effort by 3 guys. Only about 15% of the 300 plus sites have sewer. Pool very clean, nice club houses. Road are dusty, people drive too fast kicking up dust. Verizon worked fine, I'd stay again. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

If I was staying in a tent for a couple days or a pickup camper I may rate this "RV" park differently. If you have a big rig you may want to find somewhere else. The dirt hiking trails/roads were narrow and many tree branches hung down as low as 7' on one of the "roads", many of the sites had low hanging branches to dodge as well. The staff, except for one was very friendly and helpful. I didn't see a level site, we were unable to get level, but if we had a pickup camper I believe we could have by driving the front onto a 4 inch block. Of the only a dozen sites I saw with sewer most were chained off as "personal site". We were there over a weekend so there were a lot of people there for a couple of the days making the air quality in the campground worst than I remember in Los Angeles because of all the dirt from the dirt trails (roads) and the smoke from all the fire pits. The mini golf was closed there was no equipment available for the pickle ball, tennis courts. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

For starters, I want to preface that everyones expectations are different. Some want secluded and private getting away from it all. Some want cell and satellite service, full hook ups etc. I fall somewhat in the middle. Need cell service, don't care about satellite and full hook ups. Sites have lots of trees and somewhat private. It's not a parking lot style campground by any means and I love that part. Services were nice and clean. Great public restrooms etc. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 10 days in a 40 ft MH, and would return. 30 amp only, (good 120 volt power). The water pressure good as was electricity. We were glad to get a sewer site in H loop. Only half the loop has sewer. The staff could not have been more friendly. AT&T is marginal. Forget Satellite TV and only about 7 stations OTA. Overall a nice park to unwind. What a joke. A dustbowl overrun with thousands of kids. Felt like being in a Walmart.

This was our free year membership, from our new RV purchase. Needless to say, Thousand Trails offered us nothing we wanted.

Plenty of noise. If you want solitude and quiet camping, go someplace else. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

This park was a pleasant surprise. We are Thousand Trails members so it did not cost us anything to stay there. There are trees and quite a bit of privacy. It is very quiet. We had full hookups with 30 amp service. There are several places in the area that are fun to visit. The park is clean and well maintained. There are activities even in the off season. There is miniature golf and a pool. We will come back and recommend this place to friends. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

This site is nice in general, and I could have rated this place quite high if not for the toilet and shower facilities. Very few sites have a sewer hook-up, and this means that you are forced to use the park toilet facilities. One whole camp section shares 4 toilets and just one shower (one shower is just not enough for a park with just a limited number of full hook-ups). Ours - in G section - wasn't cleaned in 5 days, while the inspection sheet for the facility was "ticked" in all boxes as being OK. One toilet was soiled on the seat, and the shower featured the same hairballs and soap bits throughout our stay. This experience lets the park down to the extend that our stay should have been an 8, but ended up a 3. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

There's a lot to like about this campground. There are two big pools – family and adult-only, two activity centers – again family and adult-only (plus Wi-Fi in each), plus Mt Rainier and St Helens and be seen on clear days. The campground itself is about 20 minutes east of Chehalis and about 15 minutes from the interstate. Sections F and especially G are popular with the big rigs. This is at the top of the hill and is a bit more open than the other areas of this big park. There are some full hook up sites in these sections and scattered around other areas of the campground but be aware that, like most Thousand Trails, sites are being sold to annuals and they like having sewer hookups. Many of the sites in this area have enough of a view of the southern sky to get satellite TV. Our 4G Verizon Internet was excellent. There’s a laundry, game room, store, and chapel in the woods. Chehalis is the very first Thousand Trails and one can’t help but wish all the Thousand Trails offered the camping experience it does. While we saw things that need attention (for instance, one section is closed to all but small campers and tents due to electric problems), we rate Chehalis as one of the better Thousand Trails we’ve visited thus far. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Price is for TTN Members. Limited number of sewer sites. Only FOX air TV. Good Verizon phone & 4G data. This is the first TTN park so is somewhat dated. Power is poor. Most facilities shut down during the winter. Lots of Blackberries this time of year. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.
