An Escapees campground and it shows. Most of the sites here are owned by individuals and they landscape them and decorate well. The 'transient' sites are tot the left of the office and along the eastern boundary. The sites are level, quite large, the hookups are easy to use and the sites are very clean. There are no picnic tables or fire pits at the sites. They are extremely easy to get into and hook-up but there is no shade. It is a short drive into Port Townsend or Port Hadlock. We have stayed here before and will stay again when in the area. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at other SKP co-ops, but this was our first time at this one. The staff is very friendly, and the owned sites are very nicely landscaped, as is the entire park in general. We transients have a specific area in which to park.....the site was long, level and gravel, with no picnic table. Utilities worked as they should. It was a good base from which to visit many area attractions. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful landscaped park. Sites all gravel but level. Issues with WiFi, no different than most parks. Good value for the area. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We have been staying at this park for about 8 years on our semi annual trips to the Pacific Northwest. At one point we thought very seriously of putting our money down on a lease site but due to some issues we long ago decided this wasn't the place for us! This park has had frequent issues with their sewer system and the end result to fix the issue caused a huge increase in the yearly maintenance fee. Glad we didn't jump that first year. Over the years we have noticed a decline in several areas. First is the friendliness of the park. We no longer try to attend the socials due to this. As a newcomer you are now ignored. Also the WIFI is abysmal! Only time we could access the news feeds on our phone was late at night. Same with other applications we wanted to access like weather etc. We were on a site with just electric and water and the rate was $20 which included the high sales and hotel tax that WA attached to each RV park site. On a high note the laundry is excellent with their sign up sheet, wish all parks used that, and the landscaping is lovely. We enjoyed our walks around the park every day. The facilities manager is very friendly and helpful. But when we drove to the dump station on a Sunday we were surprised that the sewer outlet had a padlock on it! He was able to provide us a key for it. Also when we left on a Friday morning it was locked, so we had to go to the office for the key! What gives!? Never been in any park where the dump was locked! Now the office person is a very frosty person. Not welcoming at all. Found out that she is not an Escapee member, just an employee. Also office is closed on Saturday and Sunday! I guess the board has forgotten all the times they moved on Sunday! All in all do not feel that this park in any way exemplifies the spirit of Escapees. By the way, We Won't Be Back!!! We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a member-owned park and the residents work hard to landscape their own lots and the park as a whole. Several gardens, nice paths, a beautiful looking park. The 'transient' part of the park has long pull-thrus with full hook-ups. There is no picnic table nor fire pit. The sites are level, big and the hook-ups are easy. Our Verizon was not strong but worked. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Port Townsend is always fun with the shops and restaurants. Fort Worden has WWII gun emplacements to scramble around and officers homes to tour. Fort Flagler also has gun emplacements and a nice beach. Whidbey Island and Deception Pass are only a short ferry ride away. If you like to hike, Mt Walker is close - and you can also drive to the top.

Best deal in the area if you are an Escapee member. Very friendly, safe, clean. Short term sites are long level pull throughs with good hook-ups and satellite friendly. Week WiFi, but Verizon signal is strong. Great, large laundry room that is surprisingly inexpensive. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

I seldom give 10 but if you can find nothing to criticize. . . Note that this is a 55+ with no pool or playground. It is wonderfully landscaped, friendly, and clean. Utilities were good, wifi worked (with a warning of no streaming), Bathrooms/showers nice and clean, laundry has a sign-up system which means no hassle and 1.25 wash and .75 dry could not be more economical. Our site was level and near the dog path which our cat loved. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Good base camp for the north part of Olympic National Park and intersting sites on the Quimper Peninsula. Grocery, fuel, and other services are nearby. Traffic can be heavy but the drivers are unusally sensible and courtious.

If you're an Escapee you must visit this park. Same great value and service as everywhere else, and in a stunning location as a bonus. Dry camping and short term sites are all large pull throughs with good spacing. Verizon cell and data worked good, we didn't use the park wifi as it is only in and around the clubhouse. Overall a beautiful park that the residents work hard to maintain that way. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

This was our first time at an Escapees Park and we were totally impressed - what a well-run place. From the super-clean restrooms, the beautiful landscaping, the sign-up procedures to use the laundry (and "solar dryers"), the clubhouse, etc., it showed a lot of pride of ownership. We stayed in the Guest hook-up spots which were level, with plenty of spacing between the rigs for chairs, awnings, without being right on top of your neighbor. The only park WiFi is at the Clubhouse, so bring your own hot spot if you want to get on the internet from your rig. Great local farmer's markets in Port Townsend & Chimacum. Had the BEST ever homemade pie from the Chimicum Cafe, right next door to their post office.

This was a typical Escapees park: clean well-maintained, well thought-out, friendly and nicely priced. Most of the people live here and have homes here and their pride of ownership shows. Flowers, gardens, footpaths, gazebos and a great central clubhouse with a library, pool room, craft room, etc. They have community activities like ice-cream socials, theme dinners but, if you don't want to participate, that's OK too.
We stayed in the 'transient' section where the hookups for two RV's are between them which means that you have a big space outside your front door and the front door of the others across from you. In this section, you will not be outside someone else's hookups. We had all kinds of space to put out our awning and lawn chairs and there is no way that you could be next to someone else's sewer.
We stayed a week and enjoyed it all. We would definitely come again. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Port Townsend is quite the restaurant, shoppe, tourist spot. For history buffs, there is Fort Worden with its batteries and officer quarters which you can tour. Fort Flagler is across the bay and also has batteries for touring. Check out the wooden boat building, too.

This is a very pretty park with great landscaping and flowers. The laundry facility is very clean and a great price for the usage. We had to use the laundry due to only having 30 amp power. We could not use our direct TV as we could not get a signal due to the trees where we were parked. We did ask to be placed in another space but was not accommodated. We did use the video library for movies but could not get any news programs even in the rec room. After talking with an owner this morning and he said they lived in a park model we decided to drive thru the park to see how many park models there were. It seems this park has become a permanent place for older retirees. There is wi fi in the rec hall only for those of us traveling thru. We were going to stay for 2 to 3 weeks but decided to cut our time short and go back to a park with more amenities. This is a park that we will probably not come back to even though it is a pretty place and people are friendly. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

This park is extremely well kept and clean. We have a big rig and had no problems with getting in or out of the park/site. Sites are gravel, level and for the transient RV's, are very close together. There was enough room to put out the awning, but sitting outside you were pretty close to your neighbor's sewer. All sites are in full sun and are 3o amp. There is a very nice fenced dog area, as well as an area specific to wash RV's and cars. Very convenient location to Port Townsend, Port Hadlock (nearest grocery store) with Sequim and Port Angeles within a little longer drive. Friendly check-in and very accommodating. We initially reserved for one week, but decided to stay for two. Staff were able to arrange for us to stay in the same site without moving which we greatly appreciated. Very friendly "park locals". Friendly park - all sites are gravel. We stayed here a week while exploring the area. Very nice laundry set up - you reserve your time to be sure you have the number of washers available. Nice folding tables, inexpensive. WiFi is only available in the clubhouse, but is nice and fast. Not a lot of activities going on during the slower season, but did manage to get a flu shot onsite while there. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Wonderful location and wonderful campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful! They don't take reservations and if they don't have available sites you can dry camp in their dry-camp area and then get a site when it becomes available. We were lucky and they were able to put us in a "leased" site that was open since we were staying for 2 weeks. Residents were very friendly. This is a terrific area to spend some time. Great location for touring Seattle, Port Townsend (what a gem), Victoria Canada, Olympic State Park-Hurrican Ridge. We will definitely return to this area to see all we didn't get to see. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.
