We love this park. Spaces in KOA back-in are wide and long. Good utilities including water pressure. Lots of trees. Just came from a cement jungle in Canada, so this was a welcome treat. Trash dumpsters are few and far between, but we just dumped when we went out. Very friendly staff, no TV, but good wi-fi either with your Verizon Mi-Fi or their's, which is $15 for a week. Very good signal. Not too far from Burlingame or Concrete. Just a very peaceful place to relax. Lots of kids, but hardly any noise. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Red Apple Grocery in Concrete has great produce and meat. Burlington has pretty much everything. The Skagit River is beautiful, as is the trip to Winthrop, an old western town. Mt. Baker is also nearby. Beautiful green trees with elk and deer. Road is a bit bumpy, but not unmanageable. This is our second time here, and we will definitely be back.

Overall Rating:

Site was great, large, relatively level, shade trees and we felt safe. BUT if you are camping here because it is a KOA with a pool/mini golf/jumping pillow, you will be disappointed! Pool is TINY - very undersized for the number of sites they have. Jumping pillow is old and not very bouncy anymore and mini golf is sad...which would not be a big deal, except it costs extra $ to play mini golf and jump on the pillow. It is a combined KOA and Thousand Trails, which I don't really know what that means except some sites (those closest to pool) are reserved for TT members. We like staying at KOA's because of the amenities, but even our kids (under 10) don't want to go back because it just wasn't what we expected based on our other KOA experiences. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a unusual park. We get Thousand Trails now through RPI, and this one is also a KOA. So with our $10 price through RPI, which is never just $10, in this case it came to $16.50. We seem to really be in a KOA because all the people who work here are wearing KOA shirts. And there are a lot of people working here. Very good friendly service from everyone, we did our laundry and it was clean, newish, and a nice lady in a KOA shirt went and got change for us. The park is huge, sort of crowded, but the spaces are not lined up like a parking lot, and there are lots of trees so it seems less crowded than it really is. Like most KOA's that we have been to, it is great for kids and there are lots playing. Would definitely come back here. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.

We have never stayed in a Thousand Trails/KOA combo campground, and liked the TT side better than the KOA side. We luckily scored a 50amp FHU site. We could not get TV of ANY kind here (satellite or over the air). The park is full on weekends, with lots of kids. The utilities worked fairly well (the water pressure was on the low side). We would return if in the area. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.

Concrete is a pretty small town, but has a market, a decent pizza place and a bakery that was supposed to be really good (But we did not try it).

This park was fine-more space than usual for a KOA. There are trees that need to be trimmed up. There was no way to avoid branches where our site was. Gravel roads and gravel site pads-pretty level. No satellite because of trees; had AT&T LTE service. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Another very tired Thousand Trails camp with a KOA thrown in. Both camps are comparable. All the pull-thru sites are taken by seasonals'. We had to ask another camper to move their car to get enough space to back our motorhome into a very small tight site. No OTA TV. Too many trees to get the satellite; even our Sirus radio would not hold a signal. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a combined Thousand Trails and KOA campground. Certain sites are available for Thousand Trails. We were not able to get a full hookup site, but had a nice electric/water site in the trees. The campground is nice, and there seem to be a lot of activities during summertime (we were there in September after those were completed). We did find that some areas (specifically the road in front of the family center) which we tried to use to exit the campground after dumping at the dump station had very low trees, so we had to back up and turn around. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed a drive up into Cascades National Park - after a stop at the visitors center, we followed the recommendations there on things to do in a half day, drove as far as the overlook for Ross Lake, with multiple stops for pictures and a couple of easy hikes/walks along the way.

We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was quick and easy and it wasn't hard to find a nice site. The sites had a nice amount of space separating them from other sites, which we appreciated since we don't like campgrounds that put every site so close together. At least we had some room to sit outside without feeling crowded by a neighbor. The views around the campground were beautiful and it was conveniently located for visiting North Cascades National Park. Verizon worked well there.

We were a little disappointed that the bounce pad costs extra, but we were so busy when we were there that our kids never ended up using it anyway. We did play mini golf a couple of times and like most Thousand Trails, the mini golf is pretty run down and could use an upgrade. Since this park is also a KOA it was a little surprising to find the mini golf in such bad shape. Anyway, overall this was a nice place to stay and we would stay here again. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Thousand Trails and KOA not a winning combo, we have been to 9 Thousand Trails parks this summer before stopping here all the other parks had extended the check in hours for the summer. This park would not let us check in till noon, we had to wait in the overflow area. I have had reservations for over a month but of course Thousand Trails won't reserve a site suitable for my rv. They make us all gather in the overflow area until noon and then we all race our rvs to the nearest site, I think that is a bad idea. One of them left early with his 30 amp travel trailer and beat me to the 50 amp site I had my eye on so I had to settle for a 30 amp site. Across the gravel road from me was 2 tents parked in a 50 amp site. At least they have gravel on the streets in this park which cuts down on the dust we have seen in most of the Thousand Trails parks we have been to this summer. They are understaffed no one at the gate so I had to use the call box and wait to check in and. The park was full over the weekend and the restrooms while very nice were too dirty to use. Our under powered site had plenty of space to put the slides out. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.

Very quiet park. We could not get a satellite signal here but our Verizon internet did work. Long way to National park. We arrived 15 minutes before the "official" check-in time and received a lecture about it. The girl at the gate, no office here, told us that she did not know if our site would be ready or not because she hadn't had time to do a drive through to check. We had us pull into an open field, no road, and wait while she drove around and checked. She then came by to let us know that our site was available. No escort to site. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed on the KOA "side" of the park in an easily accessed pull thru. Lots of amenities, especially if you have small children. No use-able WiFi, but had a 4G signal from AT&T. No waterfront access, but Rasar State Park is moments away with large frontage on the Skagit River. Would definitely visit again. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Over all stay was good, had a fun time. One complaint would be about a maintenance worker that we over heard saying rude and mean remarks to his co workers at the maintenance shop. We felt bad for those workers. Hope to be back again. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I needed a campsite on short notice and was very glad to find this one. Nestled among giant western red cedars, my site was level grass. It is a rain forest feel. Centrally located for our western Cascade day trips. Only complaint was how far the bathroom were from our site. Would stay here again. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA/Thousand Trails was a disappointment. The pull thru 50 amp site we requested had untrimmed trees which prevented us from getting into it. They moved us to a back in 30 amp site which did not have one blade of grass on it. It was impossible to keep the dirt outside and we certainly would be in a mess if it rained. There was very little grass on most sites.

Personnel was extremely rude. There is no office. You call on a speaker from a locked gate (sign says NO check-ins before noon) and they drive up in a golf cart to assist you. They will fine you $25 if you go over 5 mph. They have ALOT of strange rules here. This seems to be the only big rig accessible park in the area so if you wish to see North Cascades National Park this is it. We will not return. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.
