This is a really beautiful park. It has the flavor of a state park but has more amenities and is also cheaper. The staff were very friendly. It was very peaceful and quiet. There was no sewer at our site, but the dump station was empty when we needed it and we never saw a lineup. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

We drove to the Pike Place Market in Seattle. It was really cool. The early afternoon drive there took 37 minutes, but we got caught in rush hour traffic on the way back and our return took around an hour.

Level, roomy, clean sites. No sewers. No over-the-air TV. Swimming pool warm and looked clean. Spa bottom not clean. Laundry room has four washers and six dryers. Not enough for this size park. Handicapped shower was moldy in corners and walls not clean. Unbelievable dust. All units covered, including ours, and we only stayed one night. Not Thousand Trails park. Sister to Encore so received 20% discount. Couldn't locate website to establish types of hookups available for sewer. $35 charge for honey-wagon. Speed bumps galore and not easy to see. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

No sewer hookups, knew that going in. But it means you have to use their showers. Only 1 facility open before 9AM, was busy one day so had to wait for a shower. Dirty. Didn't get very hot. Worst issue is that there is little to no privacy. Showers are in public bathroom style stalls where you get to see the hairy legs of the guy next to you. Don't bend over or you might see too much. One day had a 6'4" tall guy in the shower next to me and he could easily see over the partition. Hi buddy. Don't show up your first night past 'curfew' (8PM non-peak, 10PM peak) or you will have to park outside of the gate overnight as nobody will let you in. Once I realized this, I had to drive 8 hours non-stop to try to make it in on time. Yes it says this in the email, but i've never experienced this before and really didn't think about it. At $50 a night I expect full hook ups. Also no wifi except in the building. Dirt roads, dirty and muddy, broken picnic table and broken 'fire pit'. Absolutely will not come back to this place. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Sites are in the trees which is nice. Pads were flat, but no concrete. Adds to a "campground" feel, but given the frequency of rain, a pad would help to reduce the amount of mud tracked into the RV. Our site had water and electricity, but no sewer.

The amenities (clubhouse, etc) were closed for the season and I feel the price should have been more significantly reduced. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This CG is literally in a forest. Located off Washington route 202, about 4 miles north of Fall City, WA. Turn east on SE 8th street and go - seriously - uphill to the CG. Route 202 is asphalt in excellent condition. Only staff encountered was attendant at a guard-like shack at the CG entrance. Credit cards accepted. CG roads are wide, dirt/gravel with hard-to-see speed bumps. Turns are wide with no obstacles. FHU-20/30. Sites are wide, dirt/gravel, all back-in, with no landscaping. Sites are private, relatively level with water and electric at mid-rig. No sewer - use dump stations. No patio. Picnic tables. Lots of trees makes satellite antenna placement tricky. Fires are permitted based on drought conditions. No firewood sales. Good water pressure and taste. No office so no store. Restrooms/showers are clean and modern (score "A"). No propane sales. Laundry. Small playground by the pool. Seasonal, nice pool and spa with adult rec room, sauna (yes, a sauna). No cable TV. No Wi-Fi at sites but available in rec room. Verizon coverage at "3-bars"; Jetpack has 4G at "2-bars". No noise and no night lights. Bug Report: no notable insects. No recycling bins. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Not much in Fall City. A deli, casino, a few shops. Drive to Snoqualmie (route 202 east) for the Snoqualmie Falls and local groceries, restaurants, diesel at $2.759, a landromat and a hardware store. Also, a railroad museum and 2 hour, scenic railway excursion ($18/person).

This campground is all trees. Tree limbs on sites are a real problem and staff doesn't really make any effort to control them. If you want to use a satellite dish, you have to know before you park where those sites that offer a clear sky are located. We fought dust the whole time there even though there are signs everywhere posting the speed limit of 5 mph for all campers! We had no problem with the 30 amp power, but we were lucky and were there when we didn't need a heater or an air conditioner. What we really like best about this park is the quiet.....until someone left their dog tied up two rows away and went to work leaving the dog barking most of the day. This park has very nice large sites. Unfortunately there are no full hookup sites. Almost all sites are 30/20 amp (the few 50 amp sites appear to be private sites). This park has 176 sites and minimal shower and restroom facilities. While the sites are nice, the building are in need of maintenance and repair. What others have said about the park is true. It is big, wooded and the sites are level (for the most part). It's dusty, the Wi-Fi works good in the clubhouse, pool and bathhouse are excellent. For the price, it should have both cable and sewer.

I have 24' MH and had no problem with the A/C. All that said, you pick your own site and report it to the ranger. What isn't said is that, unless you mark the site some way (orange cone, chairs blocking the site, etc.), it is fair game for new people checking in. I lost sites twice. Gentleman at the ranger's station was very helpful in completing my stay. I loved the seclusion that the wide, brushed areas between sites provided. One thing not mentioned, is the distance (10 miles to Redmond) + the mileage to other area activities. Takes a while and there is no Metro transportation facility until you get to Redmond. All in all, I liked it. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Tall Chief is a nice stop off for a few day stay if you're looking for a shady, fairly well spaced jump off to Snoqualmie Falls/Fall City, WA. The power was less than adequate in our dusty, in level site; and even with 30amp, the water heater and the A/C kept popping the breaker. For a busy park in the dead of summer, power can be an issue but for the price of this park and it's hidden $4 per day "campground fee," we felt very much taken for granted. In addition, $55 a night and no sewer is just too much to pay. The laundromat on site was very clean and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the pool. We camped here in a 36' foot 5th wheel that was completely coated in fine dust within a hour of setting up camp. We enjoyed the tiny town of Fall City and the campground staff was friendly and helpful as could be. Be aware that the resort fees vary during the week vs. the weekend and there are no weekly discounts. We did find Direct TV satellite in site #25 and had decent AT&T Internet. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The cycling on the roads heading towards Fall City offered adequate bike lanes and run along the river and right into town. Good eats and coffee as well as a few local fruit and vegetable stands. Don't miss seeing Snoqualmie Falls: and it's dog friendly! Be sure to eat at the lodge/resort near the Falls.

Compared to all the other parks we stayed at over our 7 week vacation, I would rate this park sub par. The park has a great wooded setting which is the best thing about Tall Chief. The sites were not well maintained, the bathroom / showers were dirty and rusted.

The pool area was nice and great for kids. I would not recommend this park. It needs a major overhaul. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first time using the Thousand Trails/Encore pass we got for free, when we purchased our motor home. Although the park was pretty, I was not impressed. You have to drive around to find your own site, then report back to them, on which site you took. This was a large campground. 30 amp only, we couldn't even run 1 A/C unit for the heat, kept blowing their circuit breaker. No sewer hookup. No wifi, no cable. Attendants checking you in are friendly, but rushed, as there was a steady stream of campers coming in. I saw other comments on this park, and if you have to pay that much for this park, it is way too much. However, to be fair, everything in the area is overpriced! All sites are back-in only. Lots and lots of trees. Pretty. Dirt site, turned muddy after rain. Lots of pot holes on the interior roads, which are not paved. Again, not impressed and would not stay here again. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

A woodsy park close to towns, but far enough to feel that you're away from towns. We arrived during the day, and no one was at the guard shack. Using the call button, we reached someone quite quickly. Soon we were greeted by the grounds maintenance man and signed in. The park consists of mostly dirt roads and woodsy sites. they are well cleared and maintained. It was quiet, and peaceful. There are no sewer connections so if you plan to stay for a while, bring an auxiliary gray-water tank. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Redmond and Fall City are nearby, Carnation, Duvall, North Bend and Snoqualmie and Snoqualmie Falls are all nearby. Good shopping, fishing (in season) nearby. Bring an overflow gray/black water tank or plan to move your rig when the tanks are full. There is a pump truck that comes by regularly.

Great place to visit with children or adults only. Pool was wonderful; there is a playground and also miniature golf to enjoy. A little difficult to get Directv because of number of trees but we were successful in getting a signal. Sites are spacious and level. Since we were there mid week there were a number of empty sites. We had a long site with lots of shade and privacy. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

We stayed here because of our rate (Coast-To-Coast), proximity to Seattle and we couldn't extend our stay is Issaquah. It worked for the few nights we were there. It's bit of an odd place. I had to page someone from the front gate to get checked in. then we had to find our own site and report it back to the front gate (after we set up). All the roads are gravel/dirt. It hadn't rained in ages so it was dusty. One of the workers stopped by he was very friendly. The front gate folks were a bit standoff-ish; it's just an odd place to check into. Even a member had to park their car and walk to the front check in gate to get a pass. We'd probably stay again if we needed to. The spaces are roomy and it's a quiet place.
