Overall Rating:

This CG is literally in a forest. Located off Washington route 202, about 4 miles north of Fall City, WA. Turn east on SE 8th street and go - seriously - uphill to the CG. Route 202 is asphalt in excellent condition. Only staff encountered was attendant at a guard-like shack at the CG entrance. Credit cards accepted. CG roads are wide, dirt/gravel with hard-to-see speed bumps. Turns are wide with no obstacles. FHU-20/30. Sites are wide, dirt/gravel, all back-in, with no landscaping. Sites are private, relatively level with water and electric at mid-rig. No sewer - use dump stations. No patio. Picnic tables. Lots of trees makes satellite antenna placement tricky. Fires are permitted based on drought conditions. No firewood sales. Good water pressure and taste. No office so no store. Restrooms/showers are clean and modern (score "A"). No propane sales. Laundry. Small playground by the pool. Seasonal, nice pool and spa with adult rec room, sauna (yes, a sauna). No cable TV. No Wi-Fi at sites but available in rec room. Verizon coverage at "3-bars"; Jetpack has 4G at "2-bars". No noise and no night lights. Bug Report: no notable insects. No recycling bins. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much in Fall City. A deli, casino, a few shops. Drive to Snoqualmie (route 202 east) for the Snoqualmie Falls and local groceries, restaurants, diesel at $2.759, a landromat and a hardware store. Also, a railroad museum and 2 hour, scenic railway excursion ($18/person).

Overall Rating:

This park has very nice large sites. Unfortunately there are no full hookup sites. Almost all sites are 30/20 amp (the few 50 amp sites appear to be private sites). This park has 176 sites and minimal shower and restroom facilities. While the sites are nice, the building are in need of maintenance and repair. Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Tall Chief is a nice stop off for a few day stay if you're looking for a shady, fairly well spaced jump off to Snoqualmie Falls/Fall City, WA. The power was less than adequate in our dusty, in level site; and even with 30amp, the water heater and the A/C kept popping the breaker. For a busy park in the dead of summer, power can be an issue but for the price of this park and it's hidden $4 per day "campground fee," we felt very much taken for granted. In addition, $55 a night and no sewer is just too much to pay. The laundromat on site was very clean and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the pool. We camped here in a 36' foot 5th wheel that was completely coated in fine dust within a hour of setting up camp. We enjoyed the tiny town of Fall City and the campground staff was friendly and helpful as could be. Be aware that the resort fees vary during the week vs. the weekend and there are no weekly discounts. We did find Direct TV satellite in site #25 and had decent AT&T Internet. Tips for other Campers:

The cycling on the roads heading towards Fall City offered adequate bike lanes and run along the river and right into town. Good eats and coffee as well as a few local fruit and vegetable stands. Don't miss seeing Snoqualmie Falls: and it's dog friendly! Be sure to eat at the lodge/resort near the Falls.

Overall Rating:

Very nice park with spacious sites. 30 AMP / Water hookups, felt it was very pricey for the accomodations you received, plus the $4/person/day resort fee. For Thousand Trails members, this is a great option right outside of Seattle, but if you're not a member it's very expensive. I'd rate this much higher if the price were more reasonable for just W/E hookups. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Paid full price the first week and then used C2C membership. The staff in this campground was very nice. We called to come into this campground a week early and they really worked to make that happen for us. We were able to pick our own site, they made suggestions based on the size of our rig. There were many sites that were taken with longer term campers or were marked as “seasonal site for ‘the Smith’ family”, etc. Dirt roads throughout resort. There is a security gate. Campground easily handles big rigs. Sites vary in size. Ours was very large. Each site has a nice grass area with picnic table. Sites are all very level. Each site feels separate and more private because of the trees. Very nice pool area, additional shower and bathroom facilities. Sites are electric and water—no sewer; but there is a dump station available. Laundry was $2/load—which is more expensive than normal. Good Verizon cell phone coverage. Most sites do not have satellite access because of the trees. Wifi is only available in the clubhouse. Would have given higher rating if the resort had satellite access and if there were sewer hookups. We will definitely return. This park is located several miles off I-90 so is not really an overnight stopover location. As stated before - the roads are gravel with pot holes that need graded and are dusty, speed limit is 5 MPH and followed by about half of the campers. It is busy on weekends but quiet at night. There were no planned activities while we were there. I would not describe it as a resort but more of a nice wooded state park campground with a swimming pool. We used it as a nice 3 day overnight rest on a long trip. We would most likely not stay here again if in the area. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

When we made reservations for a weeks stay we emphasized that satellite reception was critical for us and was assured that they had a site for us that would be OK. When we arrived we discovered that the park is not reservation and it is literally carved out of a forest. We had to search the park for a suitable site and there aren't many of them and they were of course already occupied. Everything else in the area was full, so we were stuck for a week without TV and internet. Not the way to do business! We would definitely NOT return. We stayed here as Coast 2 Coast members. Excellent park: it is now ESL/Encore. Very well maintained: the sites are wide and private, most have trees on each side. They are level and easy to back into. Wi-Fi is free, but located in club house and near pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Some sites are satellite friendly, some are not. They give you a list of the ones that are when you get here. Only drawback to staying long is there are no sewer hookups. I would stay here again in the future.
