This was our first time glamping here and we had a great time. Spots are a bit tight but we managed ok with our trailer (which is 30'6"). Pitches are close together but because of the trees you still get a feeling of privacy. The ace find was the beach - amazing! The mixture of terrain was also great - shady woodand, a huge meadow and the beach. Fantastic - we loved it. We were at site #3 and it was a 10 minute walk to the beach. There's no shade there so you may want to take an umbrella if you have small kiddo's or pets (& of course water/drinks). The Staff were great (really friendly) and the restrooms were clean. The only downside was not having a sewer connection but there's a dump station on site so no biggie and there's only a handful of sites with water & electric. We will definitely go back. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Since this was to be my first trip towing a trailer and setting up alone, I picked this campground close to home and checked it out before going there. There were no space with hookups available so I reserved a basic pull through spot to avoid having to back in. When I arrived the next day, they remembered that I asked for hookups without sewer; they had a cancellation and saved it for me. They even followed me in and helped me back in!

The sites are in the woods, spacious size with brush between sites for privacy. Very clean sites; most looked fairly level. There is a different area for tents.

There are lots of trails around the park, to the river and across the street (cabins located there). The park is dog friendly; mine enjoyed hiking the trails with me.

I gave a lower level of value because of the reservation system. To reserve a spot, you have to book either online or by calling. There is an $8 fee for online booking; a $10 fee for calling in. To avoid the fee, you can arrive without a reservation and hope a space is available. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a good area for hiking or fishing. It's also a nice place to stay and leave your rig if you are planning on visiting the North Cascades mountain range.

This campground is so beautiful! I enjoyed walking around the meadow hayfield and taking pictures of the mountains. The trails are great for those of us that don't really enjoy strenuous hikes. We went mid June and it rained on us quite a bit, but we made sure to venture out every time the rain let up. The bathrooms were very clean and I believe I paid 75 cents for 3 minutes which was long enough for me. The camp host sells firewood at his site. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Price does not include online "$8 reservation fee." I have stayed in many WA State Parks, and this one is similar to most of the others. Rasar SP is heavily wooded, so the sites offer more privacy than some other State Parks. The W&E site was easy to get into and was reasonably level. We selected a site in easy walking distance to the restroom/shower building. The showers were attractive and clean and even had an adjustable shower head. Sadly someone had partially clogged the drain, so it slowly filled with water during the shower (50 cents (quarters) for 3 minutes). I had to step into the ADA shower to dry off and get dressed to keep my feet out of the flood. But by the time I left, the water had receded. I was unable to find anyone to report the problem to... (due to the nature of the slow fill and eventual draining, it was likely not immediately obvious to the service staff). Otherwise, this was an attractive and very pleasant Washington State park. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a great park for a "base" to explore the North Cascades National Park and adjacent recreation areas. The National Parks and U.S. Forest Service campgrounds often have fewer services (e.g. no showers, no hook-ups) than the State Parks.

Really nice park with lots of privacy in most. Clean grounds, restrooms where spotless. Price defects reservation fee. Arrived early, but someone had not left yet. So hiking was next. Park sits along Skagit River, park has a large field. Saw no elk, or eagles during stay. Returned later for my site. Owner was not to found, and that's when staff got me another site, and firewood. Service was excellent. Across road are some beautiful group sites, and a few cabins. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed two nights. Cost was $35 per night plus an $8 reservation fee for a total of $78. Very large sites with the pull-thrus. They have quite a few sites for campers traveling together - these are back in sites. Lots of trees with a few sun spots that peek through. Very clean park. Strange that there was hot water for the showers but not for hand washing at the sinks. Lots of trails to explore that are well signed. Definitely would camp here again. The pull throughs at this park are crescent shaped and are very tight for a 40' coach like mine. There are also some other very tight turns in the park for a 40'er. Somebody longer may have troubles. If you have a towed, they advise disconnecting in the day use area and then going to your site. You can hook up in an area by the dump station on the way out. The park is very clean and extremely well maintained including showers & rest rooms. You get water and 30 amp but have to use the dump station for black water. Very quiet park with great stands of second growth trees. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Motorhome.

Great base for North Cascades nation park.

There is a grocery store about 4 miles east of the park. You about 30 miles west of North Cascade NP.

After acquiring my RV (following a long and arduous search), I excitedly headed out for my very first adventure. Being a solo-woman-camper, I wanted to learn the ins and outs of my "new" (14 year old) RV in a park that was not too far from civilization. Rasar, by far, exceeded my wildest dreams! Beautiful, quiet, clean, picturesque. I loved the experience, my dogs LOVED the walk to the river for water play time. The entire park was immaculate with friendly and helpful staff. I will most DEFINITELY be returning to Rasar State Park. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Motorhome.

Some of us walked (about 1 mile) to the Skagit River and enjoyed

sitting on the bank and enjoying the view.

We enjoyed dinner at the Lyman Tavern..8 miles south of the camp.

They have a great selection of animal heads on their walls...

and you can play darts..

This is a beautiful park among old growth forest. It's so quiet here that it's almost eerie. We picked blackberries along the walking trails till we had our fill. The facilities are top notch and we will definitely be back. Rate reflects out of state booking premium along with reservation fees. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were on our way home and just wanted to stop to use the dump station, but then decided to see if we could stay the night and boy am I glad we did. This park is a gem! Because the park was full, staff had opened an overflow area, which was in one of the group sites. We had a huge, level, paved, private site with electricity and water amid the tall evergreens. Very restful! The main camping loops are in the woods and are thoughtfully laid out to provide good privacy. Some have electricity and water and some have no utilities, but they all looked pretty nice. There are also 8 walk-in sites for tent campers and 3 hiker/biker sites. You can also rent a nice looking cabin or reserve one of the three well laid-out group sites. An extensive network of trails, including one ADA accessible, leads to the banks of the Skagit River where there is good fishing in season and eagle watching in the winter. Throughout the park, there are excellent interpretive signs explaining the native flora and fauna. Several children's playgrounds will keep the kids happy. We also liked the open meadow down near the river where elk are sometimes seen. We'd also like to give praise to the super volunteers staffing the entrance station. Interacting with them was a pleasant change from what we've experienced lately at most of the Washington State parks wherein staff and volunteers have seemed indifferent at best. I would highly recommend this park and we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the most beautiful parks we have camped in. Well laid out, large, level, paved sites and roads. Back in sites are set up with good angles for backing into. Very, very clean with hiking trails and easy access to river. Huge trees provide lots of shade but there are also sites that have more sun. We will definitely be back. This was a quick one night stay within 1.5 hours of Washington/BC I-5 border crossing. Beautiful park with lots of hiking trails, kids playground, and river access. The park host was very friendly and helpful. All amenities were very clean and well kept. Probably some of the best we've seen along our trip. The sites were spacious and private amid the forest. Saw 3 elk and lots of salmon jumping in the river during our brief stay. There was a sign indicating Wi-Fi but I never did get it. Only regret was not having more time there. On the list for next time! We camped at Rasar State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a excellent campground! It is very clean, neat and quiet. The Host were very nice and friendly. This Park is very pet friendly and access to the Skagit River is great and easy to get to. There are many trails nearby and within the park as well. The bathroom and showers are kept very clean. The spaces are very nice size with privacy. Some sites have more sun than others but all of them are nice. I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Travel Trailer.
