Overall Rating:

We only stayed one night here, so review is a bit limited. First, it's a very new park, evident everywhere. They are focusing on excellent customer service and nice amenities at the park to make up for the fact that it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. For us, it was a one night pass through between Portland and Coeur d'Alene. They are marketing themselves as a good rally place and I think that's the right direction to go, because again, they've got the space and amenities, but not the location to distract anyone. I mean, if you're in a place near a decent tourist area, that's what you sell - if you're not, you have to sell the other stuff. So it's resort prices for sure. The sites are long and spaced far apart, the wi-fi is workable, the TV selections reasonable. There is definite encroachment from various housing tracts nearby, but still it's mostly your typical RV Park near an industrial area with the train noise at night to prove it. Not terrible, just noticeable. I think as the trees grow and fill in a bit, they'll work as a bit of noise cancelling, too. We happened to be situated near a small dog area, so our girl was happy - there's long grass there which is only an issue if some other dog has left you a little surprise! Near us was a big frisbee golf area and I saw people allowing their larger dogs to frolic off leash, so I guess it's a wink-n-nod situation for well behaved pups. The camp store has a lot of cute items for sale, including RV basics (even a nice selection of oddball condiments like Siracha sauce - never can be without that), the shower was terrific and clean, and they have games for check out. Didn't use the pool, but others were (it was fairly warm). Bottom line - great park in the making, especially for rallies and groups as they apparently are going to specialize in this. It's a smart idea on their part. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Everything about our stay here is very good. Staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our group uses the facility for a 3 day meeting each year. Many of us stay for a full week before moving on. Access is easy and interior roads are asphalt. Some sites are paved, others are gravel, all have grass surrounding, landscape timbers, pedestals for utilities, trees are maturing. There is some highway noise, a half mile away. We enjoy our stays here and will return each year. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The gift shop has a wide selection of novelty, plus, Seahawks and WSU Cougars items. Pool and spa both have HC lifts, restrooms and showers are spotless. Some of the grass areas, between sites, have cabanas erected for shade and gatherings. There are many different wine and beer tours in the area. Local dining...take your choice and enjoy.

We stayed 3 nights total and loved this park. The store has a wide variety of fantastic gifts that are very reasonably priced. The park is dog friendly, clean and quiet. Sites are level gravel pads with very well-kept grass areas with tables next to them. Will definitely stay again when we're in that area. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a fairly new park which means no mature trees and no shade. Pros: the park is neat and clean, the office staff is friendly and helpful, 3 ice cream socials a week and pull-thrus are very long with plenty of space between sites. Cons: They have the worst wifi I have ever encountered - for $50-$60/night it should have been excellent. Constant freeway and train noise, high priced laundry with broken machines and again, no shade. Unless you are one of the five people in the world that like karaoke do not accept spots 1-10. The are back-ins right in front of the outdoor karaoke which is much too loud and awful. I would not recommend this park except for a one night stay. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with asphalt drives. Our site was level but back in sites are all blind back in. They have a walking trail marked out on the park map and it's 1 mike around the park. The swimming pool and hot tub were gated and very nice. We also participated in an ice cream social 1 evening. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for the first time at the beginning and end of our 3 week RV trip. We were so impressed. The sites are large and each had grass. The entire park is immaculate. The staff always had a ready smile and were helpful. Loved all the activities and games they had available. We will return. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are large and spacious and well maintained. However; on the other hand, there were machines in the laundry that were out of order for a couple of weeks. Was not able to access WiFi for most of the time we were there. We were there for one month and had to endure the almost daily noise of the transient rv'ers in the space next to us. It would have been better if they had segregated the long term tenants from the short term rv'ers. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff is very nice and helpful. Arrived after hours, as we had told them we would. Found a welcome packet with a map to our site. We easily arranged for a late departure on our last day. The grounds are gorgeous and spacious. Hookups easy, except the sewer was quite a reach. No effort to level. Easy walk to pool. The place is very family friendly. They offered activities like pancake breakfast, wine tasting, karaoke, loads of indoor and outdoor games. Very dog friendly with off-leash areas. My only complaint would be there is a fair amount of noise from the highway, and we had 1 train per day come by in the evening. Both of those we should have known about from the map, so not their fault. We will return when we are in the area. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Arrived at the beginning of the Memorial Holiday in USA. Park was filled to capacity with many activities ongoing to celebrate the holiday. The park is well run and even when crowded it was a pleasant place to be. A pool is available with lots of sporting equipment such as volley ball, basketball, raquet sports abound. The three communities making up the tri cities do not really have downtown locations, but shopping malls offering every aspect of merchandise surround the park. Meet by a valet, quick check at office. Then escorted us to our pull thru site. Nice wide long pull thru's. Pool and hot tub a nice way to end a day traveling. Will plan future trips around this park. Only negative was $52 a bit steep in my opinion. Possibly jaded traveling thru Canada and not paying much more than $30 USD for very nice parks. Columbia Sun was a great place to stay! The staff were very friendly and most seemed to live on site. The guests we saw were all very friendly, waving and stopping to chat. The park really was super clean, except for a puffy hair band and a few cigarette butts at our site. They blended into the gravel a bit, so were probably hard to see. The pool was open even in late April (most in Washington don't open until Memorial Day) and there was karaoke, ice cream socials, free pancakes on Saturday mornings, and wine and food pairing potlucks. Even though it's right off the freeway, and there's a train track down the road, the noise was very low from both. There's one small tree in each site and I bet they'll provide some decent shade in a few more years. The gravel pads are well kept and fairly level, and we are now completely spoiled for water pressure. The location is in a semi-rural scrub/semi-commercial area with nice views of the hills and evergreen trees planted all around the perimeter of the park. Richland and Kennewick are short 10-15 minute drives away and Pasco, with its planetarium and observatory, is about a 25 minute drive. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We always like going to Columbia Sun in Kennewick, WA. The staff, especially the owner, makes sure that our stay is enjoyable, and that our group is well accommodated. The facilities include an Event Center that can be divided for multiple groups and includes a fully stocked kitchen, clean and spacious restrooms with showers, gift shop, pool and hot tub as well as two barbecues for guests use.

The grounds are well-groomed and provide ample room for all types of RV's, a playground, pet area, volleyball court and additional restrooms and showers. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.
