This is a lovely park. Owners are very welcoming and very involved in their park. Pride of ownership is evident here as seen through the meticulously cared for grounds, the immaculately clean facilities and the genuine care to guests by the owners. The park owners are animal lovers, so the park is very pet friendly. Lots of beautiful birds here and hummingbirds frequent the numerous hummingbird feeders near the entrance to the park. Our site was lovely, overlooking the river beside an abandoned railway track. Beautiful tall pine trees shaded our large site. Sites are well spaced. This park has recently become an adults only park, so our stay was relaxing and very quiet. I can't say enough good things about this gem of a park. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area and will plan a longer stay next time. We camped at Rock Cut RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

What a beautiful little gem in the heart of Kettle River country. This park is roughly 20 miles north of Kettle Falls proper; and 4 miles south of the Canadian border at Lake Christina. The grounds are meticulously cared for, so no matter where is your camp sight it's perfect. Most sites are nestled beneath Pine trees which provide a periodic wind chorus. The river is literally a stone's throw down the park's back slope. In the summer months there's no end to river play: rafting, kayaking, swimming, fishing. Also nearby are many hiking trails, and if you make the trek to Lake Christina there's even more to do, including golf. The owners/hosts are beyond gracious. Their devotion to "company" and hard work is easy to spot the minute to drive up. Oh ... and a bonus if you're a dog owner: they're free to roam leash-less as long as they're well behaved and you pick up after them. A "must" destination for the true nature lover. We camped at Rock Cut RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there in the middle of June; there were only two other rigs in the huge park, and it was quiet, neat and clean. The dogs were allowed to run loose with supervision and dog clean-up stations are provided. The hosts are from Switzerland, very friendly and helpful and part of the fun experience. Within the park there is a very popular Blues Festival in July and a Rock Festival in August. Reservations are recommended for either of those events. We are looking forward to a return trip! Tips for other Campers:

Beautiful Sherman pass is a nice drive and along that route is a very interesting site explaining the CCC, and another one explaining the past log flume operations in the area. There are horseshoe pits in the park, and shuttle service for kayaking on the Kettle River. There is a very good restaurant just down the road towards Orient. If you have a passport, Canada is just a few miles away. The hosts are very helpful with ideas for things to see and do in the area.
