This is an absolutely wonderful park! We have had two short stays here this summer. The first was early in the season and the park was almost empty during the week but this last stay it was in full swing and both times it was wonderful! Everyone was having fun but in a respectful manner which is not the case in most parks! The lake is beautiful and the park is neat and clean. The staff is very friendly. The utilities were darn near perfect! Perfect would have been if some fairies came by and emptied the black tank! LOL The electric was a steady 50 amp and water pressure was spot on! We look forward to a return trip! We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a small grocery store in Mossyrock (Smith Brothers) and a great restaurant called the Pioneer who makes a yummy patty melt! Also a blueberry farm with a store for reasonably priced blueberries at $3.00 a pound!

If you are a boater, this is the place for you. The sites are tight but you are right at the marina. This place recently changed owners and they are really nice. They are trying to change/improve a things. They have cabins and a motel all on site for non RVers so it's not necessarily quiet, but they are really good about the quiet hour times in the evenings. The only downer for us was the water was brown, literally brown. Don't know what the issue was but I know they are working on improving this place. If you want to camp and boat, this is the spot for you. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here back in 2016 and got on the waiting list for memorial day, we were lucky enough to get a call and got a water front site. The owner was there Thursday night when we arrived around 8pm helped us get into our site. We brought our boat but the truck that usually launches transmission was out so the owner helped us find someone right away to launch our boat first thing the next morning. They usually have a launch and retrieval service which is awesome for people that have a motor home and a boat. We love this place everyone is very friendly, clean place and very relaxed. Would come back in a minute. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed last year but at the normal $50 per night with a fantastic spot up on the grass near the small swim area. Beautiful lake. This year we booked under our RPI membership at a significant discount. It was a busy weekend and it definitely got crowded. Great fishing nearby on the Cowlitz for summer run steelhead. Fishing right around the resort is very poor. Really need a boat IMO. Could not use sewer in site 65 as I did not have more than 15' and the slinky would have run uphill a bit. Site was right next to the store. We got there on a Thursday when the place was fairly empty but they said that was one of the RPI sites. Guess I can't complain much when it was only 10 bucks per night. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

We went there on a spur of the moment the weather forecast had dramatically changed after we made our reservation. They were super nice there let us check in early, launched our boat as we drive a Class A. The park is super nice, clean & peaceful and the staff is awesome. We will be going back! We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $10.00

We made our reservations through RPI and arrived after hours (5:30 PM - office closes at 5:00 PM weekdays and 7:00 PM weekends) in early June with our 36' travel trailer. The office manager saw us coming and came out to greet us. She made sure we were situated, and even brought us into the closed office to give us a few details and connect us with WiFi. She said to come back in the next AM and complete registration. All went well. The staff was cheerful and helpful. Our site was, however right next to the dump station for the park. As bad as that sounds, it was never used by anyone while we were there, it just would be more pleasant if it were fenced from our view. The park was in generally good condition. If you're a boater or fisherman this is a great launching pad for lake activities. Although the facility is "aged", it is pretty well maintained. There is a restaurant on-site, but it is only open on Fridays and the weekends. We camped earlier in the week, so we missed it. We had full hookups and a gravel pad for the trailer. There was a good sized grass patch outside our door (if the weather had been nicer we would have appreciated it more). Our fire pit was out in the gravel, in what seemed to us to be in the road. I would have been uncomfortable using it if there were vehicle traffic. WiFi was free, but a separate password was needed, per device. Connection was adequate. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park , I would assume it would be very nice in summer, not crowded at our stay. Nice playground for kids, nice store and marina area. Very scenic, Sites where gravel fairly level. Many sites are close together, we had a pull thru with FHU. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

Great Place: if you like a resort. This one is focused on the lake and is very family orientated. It is very attractive to non campers as it has a good restaurant as well as a store and is a popular day use area. There is even a dance on Saturday nights during the summer in an open air dance hall. The dance ends at 10pm which is the start of quiet time. Unfortunately it is not a very quiet park on a busy weekend when the weather is nice, lots of parties in the park as well as on neighboring properties. Large rigs may have some difficulty getting into some sites. The sites are not level, bring extra materials to level the rig. I had elevate the front axle over 6 to 8 inches. We will use this park again. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

The accommodations at this resort were superb. They have a nice fishing dock for those who want to try their skills on the stocked lake trout and other species. Bring your own boat or rent their pontoon deck boat for a very reasonable price. The management team is awesome. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here as RPI Member. Nice looking campground with lots of boat docks. Pros Very nice children's playground, nice grass areas at the sites Cons No TV reception, No Wi-Fi, and reason for not rating higher - sites was very unlevel. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first time here and the rate is the off season rate. The site map is not quite to scale. You could have problems getting a big rig into the back in sites if there is someone in the sites ahead of you and many hookups are at the back or on the right. Overall a nice park with 2 nice playgrounds for the kids. We would come back. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Motorhome.

We made a reservation early for this park. We received the Fireman's discount on their rates. We were given a lakefront campsite with a wood deck and picnic table in the shade. Perfect! We stayed two days so we could ride the Mt Rainier Steam Train. One drawback, we had planned an anniversary dinner at the restaurant but the chef had quit about a month ago and the restaurant is closed. Well stocked store with RV supplies, food, beverages, snacks and good ice cream. It was a must have stop every day. The host was very helpful in getting us into our site so we could get out on Sunday. Friendly staff, well run place. Clean restrooms and showers. Our site did not have a sewer hook up so the guys did the hiking for showers and let the ladies use the FW. This place is GREAT. We will plan to come back, stay longer and stay here next year. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here in a pull through site (one of their premier sites). The main reason was the access to docks for our friend's wave runners. The area was clean and each site had a small patch of grass. There was no privacy or shade (for any site), but we were very close to the lake and docks. They also had a small swimming area although it was a semi-steep grassy bank down to small beach area. The office is located in the rear of the park in the resort store. When checking in they said what is most important is the quiet time between the hours of 10 pm and 7:30 am. On Saturday night they had a family dance with music for kids and adults. We would definitely go back again if we go to use wave runners on the lake again. We camped at Lake Mayfield Resort in a Travel Trailer.
