I used to enjoy this park. Pleasant surroundings, right by the Newaukum River and shady sites. Excellent value at $20 for water and electric. But this is the last time for me. The place is full of tweakers [meth-heads] who are slobs, throw their trash in the bushes and, because they are high, walk back and forth [usually across my campsite] constantly. There are also a few [other?] homeless types but they are quiet and not a problem. Too bad. I guess there is no legal way to keep these druggies out. - mockturtle
Nov 2015 - $20.00
This is a bare bones city park: think state park. It's a lovely setting and access to I-5 is easy. If you like trains, it's great. If not, find another park. Most rigs were older and appeared to be "full time" residents, although the limit is 7 days. Lots of walking opportunities. We will stay here again. - Vista Queen
Sep 2013 - $15.00
This RV facility works well for us because it is close to the town and camping is offered at a reasonable price. The fact that some bays have 50 amp electric is a bonus. The sites are paved and mostly shaded, and water is available. There is a dump nearby. The restroom facilities are minimal, there being curtains across the toilets. However, they were reasonably clean. There is cable hookup, but we only managed to get one channel. We used our antenna for TV instead. - Al&Lizzie
Aug 2016 - $13.00
This park is now on a reservation system which makes checking in a real headache. You can still use the iron ranger but you also are required to use the 'phone' at the entrance and check in again with the reservation 'service' even if you don't have a reservation. These people were completely ridiculous do deal with. When I was here for two days, there were only three campers in the entire campground. I love this park but may not return because of the unnecessary hassle checking in. - mockturtle
Aug 2014 - $10.00
Price reflects senior pass. If you don't need hookups or sewer dump and you like quiet forest glades, this is your park! Lovely park, well maintained. Some of the sites are a little tricky and not very level but there were a few good-sized rigs there. Mostly tent campers. Since it's not on the water, no jet skis or boat noise. Nice hiking trails. Definitely will return. - mockturtle
Aug 2013 - $21.00
We stayed here for an overnight stop on our way from Seattle to Bend. Several sites were available on Friday night at 9PM. There was a ranger patrolling during our arrival which was nice to see at such a small park. Really liked the dense tree cover, the day use area seemed nice and overall this seemed to be a great no-reservation park for a quick getaway or stop-over. - pokeyt
Apr 2007 - $27.00
Convenience store is located on grounds and a nice restaurant, Spiffy's, is located just 1/4 mile away. The draw back here is it floods in the winter months including when I was here. The south half of the rv park goes under water and there are massive standing puddles in most of the sites when it rains, and remember, this is Washington. The site host is friendly and doing what he can to make this a nice campground. But more work is needed to keep it dry. - ridgerunner
Oct 2017 - $1.00
We were at this campground after it had gone into "limited" service for the winter, meaning that there were some loops that were closed and not many activities going on. We were lucky to find a full hookup site (30A) - there are limited sewer sites, so we were glad to be able to get one. Because the sewer sites are almost all in one section, that area of the campground is pretty much 100% occupied. The campground is nicely wooded and nice to walk around in. At this time of year, it was very quiet. Because we are Thousand Trails Courtesy Card holders, our nightly rate was $0. A general suggestion for staying at Thousand Trails - since you get to pick from whatever sites are available when you arrive, arriving the day that most others are leaving is advantageous. We have found that the worst days to arrive are Friday or Saturday. For us, the best days to arrive are Mondays and Thursdays. - pattic777
Sep 2017 - $1.00
Pros: Sites are widely spaced, the adult pool and spa is very nice, its in the trees, surrounded by hiking trails - although a bit overgrown, it's quiet... The cons: the power is lousy - gotta watch what you turn on. Limited sewer sites, old restrooms (but clean), lots of the sites are far from level. Family pool area is huge but looked a bit green. The family lodge has seen better days. The store has limited hours (this is august after all). Everything needs repair and maintenance (as most TT places we've experienced). We got a sewer site only because we moved the minute somebody left. As usual, no one could tell us if there was any sewer sites available at the gate so we had to discover that for ourselves and when you're wandering with a large motorhome, it kinda sucks. So, we disconnected at the adult pool complex (it's level) and used the toad to scout out a level site. F5 is pretty level and right across from the restrooms... for a shower (has no sewer). The women's shower in this restroom is brand new. We hadn't been here before; the roads can be confusing. - KampingKris
Jul 2017 - $1.00
The entire facility just recently recovered from an EXTENDED down time due to water issues. With this down time the corporation let the sites go bad with blackberries and low hanging tree limbs. However, for the 300 plus sites there is now an ongoing slow trimming effort by 3 guys. Only about 15% of the 300 plus sites have sewer. Pool very clean, nice club houses. Road are dusty, people drive too fast kicking up dust. Verizon worked fine, I'd stay again. - Lionel
Sep 2017 - $45.00
Rate does not include the 10% Good Sam discount. An rv mini park right up against the green near the 9th hole of the golf course! Sounds like it ought to be quiet and peaceful. Well, not quite. A railroad track is nearby, a municipal airport is located on the other side of a levee, and cars occasionally roar by the small road parallel to the less than twenty-five full hookup, back-in sites. Full hookups along a stretch of concrete just beyond the gravel overflow parking area for the golf center. Trash cans located every few sites along the fence by the road. The adjacent site (#21) did not have a cover over the sewer opening but no smells emanated. Overheard another camper share that using sewer as dumping station could cause overflow, but is OK as periodic sewer system. No Wi-Fi. No showers or restrooms. No dump site. Meh tasting city water. We stayed a Friday and Saturday night for the convenience of location. The first night was tolerable but a wedding reception was held at the golf course club house on Saturday night and the speakers and pumping music played loudly past 10 pm made the evening far from peaceful. - rvYoungster16
Aug 2016 - $37.00
Nice Cement Pads, Great view of Golf Course out back windows,
VERY noisy; No Wi-Fi; No public restrooms or showers; No Trash; No Outside tables;
No Fire pits
For the price, it is easy to get to and nice view of course. But you are between small airport, trains, and NOISY gold course. One does not normally expect a Golf Course to be noisy. But this one hosts public events such as weddings and parties. Expect private outdoor events with load music to and past mid-night.
Some spots are longer than others.
Also very weird that only ONE 40 gallon trash can for 20+ RV spaces... So trash piles up quickly.
In short... seen much worse private parks... but this is just a place to park your RV and stay a night or two. Great if you want to Golf... otherwise nothing to do here. This is NOT a spot for "camping". - Oregon_Adventure
Jul 2016 - $32.00
Campgrounds this year have been busy. In town (Centralia) for a wedding, and finding a place close if not a campground I looked here. Clean, quiet, golf if you want, and nice course. Great place to stop overnight, or explore area. Next to regional airport, but no real noise. We were treated to the Goodyear Blimp parked out on tarmac till Saturday morning, pretty cool. Stores like they say close by. Cab service quick, cell service super, WI fi never checked. Remember this place has not tables, fire rings, showers, or restrooms. Self contained units only. - NXTSTOP
Nov 2016 - $1.00
Pulled in, looked around, found the power pedestals in poor shape & wires exposed, so left.
This would be a "last resort" choice. - Saddlesore
Aug 2012 - $25.00
Having passed on the park where we had planned to stay the night, saw the sign for this place on the freeway and took a chance. This is easily the slummiest campground we've seen in over four years of full time traveling. Cramped spaces almost all of which are occupied by permanent residents, who seem not to mind the squalor. So, come if you must, but bring a surge protector and maybe consider locking your door. - Pawticket
Aug 2017 - $27.00
Park is older, and doesn't have sewer or dump station. It has a nice playground for kids and is very peaceful at the edge of a small town next to corn fields and elementary school. Tall trees provide lots of shade. The camp host's RV has seen better days. If you want a really peaceful park, this is it. Only one other camper was there at the time, which was during Toledo's "Threshing Bee" festival. - vtofa
Oct 2013 - $13.00
Rate reflects a weeks stay. Can't beat the price for a full hookup with 50 amp. No cable or air TV. The water tastes lousy, but they have RO water in the laundry room for drinking/making coffee. This is right off I-5 so can be noisy. They have a boat ramp and nice area next to the river to walk. Lots of permanent residents, but the ones we met were friendly. We didn't spend anytime in camp really since we were attending to family issues in Ryderwood. Wouldn't stay there otherwise. - KampingKris
Aug 2012 - $13.00
Small park. Yes, as the other review stated, the water isn't good: very salty. But there is free filtered water in the laundry room. Our rate reflects a week stay. The park would be a good choice for overnight. It's pretty close to I-5 and is within easy driving distance to Mt. St. Helen. The bad: Highway noise, water quality, sites a bit narrow. The good: New landscaping, a couple of new drive-through sites with 50 amp, nice laundry facility (but only one washer: it's new though), basically quiet. The long term residents are friendly. Nice tent sites by the river. We would stay again. - KampingKris
Jul 2008 - $29.00
The water was so bad it made my dog sick. It tasted like sewer water would taste. The smell of backed up septic tank was all the time. it was hard to breathe and the I think it was backing up into the water system. Dogs ran wild the manager was yelling all the time like a crazy man when someone asked about the poor water. His only comment was if you don't like it move or go some place else. The grounds was kept nice and mowed but that is all the good that is to be said about this place. - The camperman
Oct 2017 - $41.00
Great place for an overnight stay. Friendly, clean and very safe. - Howls_Castle
Sep 2017 - $45.00
First Impression: Road sign could be better but appearance is most impressive. Safety: No concerns. Access: I-5 exit 82, northwest on Harrison to left on Galvin, past lumber yard, turn left. Access road in good condition, Garmin GPS was accurate.
Office: Friendly staff, convenience store with food, snacks, soft drinks, and RV equipment items. Restaurant attached. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Good Sam discount.
Facilities: No pool, spa, or fitness room. Rec center available. Restrooms/showers "almost modern" but very clean, no mold, privacy curtains, hot water with great pressure (score "A"). Propane sales. No playground. No off-leash dog run.
Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter. Beautifully landscaped with a few mature trees, lots of grass and manicured bushes separate sites. Interior roads are wide, asphalt in excellent condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rig and long coach friendly. Prevosts won't have problems. Overflow parking available. No tent area, yurts, or cabins.
Sites are all spacious, level, concrete, back-in and pull-through. Utilities at rear of site with FHU-20/50 (no 30A socket at my site), no meters. Low water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 3" threaded, about 6" above ground level (I needed 2 stinky tubes). No patios; ½ sized picnic tables (vinyl covered). Ground fires not permitted, no fire rings. Good satellite views. Free cable TV (not tested). Free TengoNet Wi-Fi with good coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone at 4 bars; 4G not checked. Recycle aluminum cans only.
Noise: Distant railroad, no aircraft, traffic, or interstate noise. Bug Report (early September): no insects noted. Runners: CG roads excellent for running. Yoga: sites good for your mat. Conclusion: Score 8-Upscale. This CG could win awards. - StephenK
Sep 2017 - $42.00
Very nice park, small but well maintained. Several pull through sites surrounded by back-ins occupied primarily by permanents. Staff was friendly and the wifi was excellent. Nice restaurant on site for you breakfast lovers. - nmunozjr
Aug 2016 - $38.00
Stayed here under personal circumstances, name of park. Park is very old and most of sites were workers in area. Poorly maintained and no security. Other parks in area would have been better value. - User1128
Sep 2013 - $24.00
We found this park through a Google search and took our chances. The best thing about this park is that all RV sites are huge, level, concrete pads, which is great when it's raining and if you have a big rig with a tow. The management was nice, hookups great, and cable was good. But WiFi was only available near the office while we were there. The two downsides were that the bath house, although clean, was at the back corner of the park which is a long walk when it's raining. And, the park is right next to the train tracks (very noisy). We would not return here merely due to the train noise at night. Price reflects GS discount for a week stay. - ryon110
