We stayed in the Thousand Trails part of this campground, and the rate ($0) reflects that we are family Courtesy Card holders. There are very few 50A hookups and no sewer sites in this campground. It is not clear which sites are 50A and which are 30A until you go to each site - it appears that only a very few of the first sites you come to along the meadow are 50A sites. A lot of the sites have the utilities on the "wrong" side - ok in a motorhome because you can pull into the site, but difficult for trailers or 5th wheels. There is definitely a lot of variance from site-to-site in terms of both length and width of site. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

If you come here, be prepared to sit in your camper. That's because of the yellow jackets. They are everywhere and, if you go outside, they are all over you. Even our dog wouldn't stay outside. When travelling through the campground, we noticed that the other campers were staying inside, too. We did get some yellow jacket traps at the local hardware store, but even that didn't keep them from bothering us. Sites are close together and about half of them were too short to fit our 32 foot 5th wheel. Several haven't been used in a while and are overgrown with weeds. Roads are narrow. Dish satellite didn't work at all because of the trees. We did get some OTA TV, but only ABC came in consistently. The girls at the gate were friendly and helpful. The laundry was clean and the machines did a good job. This is the first time I can remember not having to add coins to the dryers. There is a clubhouse with some games, etc. for guests. It was a good place to go on a hot day to play pool, ping pong, checkers, etc. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

NO SEWER HOOK UPS! $45.00 for honey wagon service. Only had 30 amp electric service. Didn't have a site for a 45ft. coach but they told me they did. Lots of low thick tree branches that scratched my RV. No satellite reception because of the trees. Very dusty roads. Would be nice if they treated them to keep the dust down. Camp store was well stocked. Pool appeared to be clean although we didn't use it. Nice little pond for fishing in. Won't stay here again. As others have stated this is a huge park that is 1/2 KOA and 1/2 Thousand Trails. We stayed in the TT part which had water and electric. Our site was a pull in site with a great view. Park is very quiet and off the beaten path. Check in was easy with great staff. Lots of activities with pool and spa. Had a little problem finding the park at first but after we found signs to park was easy. Very wooded the only complaint is as large as the park is there need to be more bath houses. Large club house with pool tables and other things to do. Walking trails and small lake for fishing or kayaking. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed for four nights at this campground in a 33' motorhome. There are NO SEWER hookups at this campground. Was expecting more for a joint KOA TT campground location. The store was not open the entire time we were there. Told they had no one to work in it. The campground was really run down, many sites were overgrown with vegetation. Staff was friendly. We found a site right next to a bathhouse. AT&T cell service was pretty good, 3 bars of LTE. The pool was nice, hot tub OK. Mosquitoes were horrendous. We most likely will not come back. The sitemap is misleading for pull-through, most are extremely small. Ours was listed as pull-through, maybe for a popup trailer, it would work. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay at Little Diamond Thousand Trails. As we were unhooking to go look for a site, we were lucky to meet up with a guy who gave us good input on which sites to consider. It was not obvious to us which sites had 50A and which had 30A - we got a site that backed up to "the meadow" that had 50A. While the weather was not overly hot, when the winds changed and wildfire smoke covered the campground, we needed to be able to run multiple A/Cs. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

The campground has some nice features, but the sites can be hit or miss. A lot of sites on the TT side are overgrown to the point of being hard to distinguish if they are still sites. The bugs (mosquitos and bees) were pretty heave in early June. The staff was pretty friendly though. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Huge park, 1/2 is Thousand Trails and 1/2 is KOA. We stayed on the KOA side, in a pull through with power and water. We were told they didn't have septic available at this park, but the pump out station is easy to access and to use.* Plenty of activities, especially for kids, some nice easy trails to hike, and reasonable rates to rent kayaks. The 'lake' is not much to speak of, but it was fun to toddle around in it in boat/kayak.

We were there on Labor Day weekend, and while the park was nearly full, it was so spacious it did not seem chaotic. Would stay there again (30 ft 5W) * I have been informed they may have FHU at some sites. Perhaps double check this with staff when making arrangements. :) We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Not bad at all. No sewer hooks and mostly 30 amps but that worked for us.

Was very quiet the entire time we where there. My only complaint would be the dust roads. Would be nice if they treated them to keep the dust down. If you stay in the front section of the TT sites the dust seems to be less. There are plenty of sites that could accommodate our 40' MH. Pool appeared to be clean although we didn't use it. Nice little pond for fishing in. We'd stay here again. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Even though the campground is off the beaten path, the signage from Hwy 2 made finding the park quite easy. We had site 31 which offered a back-in pad with 30/50 amp, water, and sewer. Although the gravel pad was long enough to accommodate our 32 ft. trailer easily, the slope from back to front didn't allow us to use the sewer connection. Our drains are at the middle of the trailer and didn't want to position so far back that I would be imposing on the rear neighbors. There was also a tree in the way preventing us from opening the awning.

The park is huge, with 3 areas. One for KOA, one for Thousand Trails, and one mixed. Our site was very spacious side to side. We took advantage to the pool and hot tub which is located a short walk away. We did notice, however, some campers driving to the pool/rec building. We have kayaks but didn't use the small lake which we found not too inviting. We were hoping to launch our kayaks on the bigger Diamond Lake but could not find any public access. Instead we took an easy drive to Sandpoint and launched in Lake Pend Oreille.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We took advantage of the Frisbee golf course and laundry facilities. Close by on Hwy 2 there is a terrific Amish bakery and store, but to get full groceries, you'll have to travel into Newport, 20 minutes away.

The were lots of activities for families with kids and very quiet nights. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Clean park. No septic which is clearly stated once you arrive but not on Thousand trails website. Also there are only 6 or 7 50 amp sites and probably close to 50% of the advertised 300 sites are not available to members due to being KOA or extended stay sites. TT area separate from KOA area. Other reviews had mentioned KOA section nicer, but TT has just renovated several sites to include 50 amp (no extra charge for now), and they are very nice. These are from about site 39 to 52. Was able to get satellite from site 47 but had to find a gap in the trees. The pool is small but nice. Has a small fenced dog area but long dog walk, and nice open areas. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a Beautiful park which is half owned or managed by KOA. We were there as a Thousand Trails member so we were limited to those sites. We liked everything about the park except there is no sewer at the sites. There are 2 dump stations. Also if you need 50 amps don't plan on that as there was only about 10 of those. Rest were all 30 amps. But when we were there is was mild so we didn't need to use our AC. The pool & hot tub are nice and there is a small lake on the property. We stayed a week in our fifth wheel and most of the sites have shade and good spacing in between. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is a shared concern with Thousand Trails and this review is in relation to the KOA side of the equation.

Although this is a very large campground with many sites they are spread out over a vast area and there is a great deal of open space. We had site # 31 which is a back-in equipped with 30 & 50 amp power, water and sewer drop. There is no cable connection but that wasn't important to us. Satellite is achievable because I saw a number of rigs hooked up to receive it. We could receive about 8 - 9 channels OTA.

The sites are crushed gravel and level from left to right but the row we were located certainly had a noticeable slope from back to front which took a bit of adjustment and levelling. Each site appears to be equipped with a picnic bench table and fire pit.

At our location we could pick up the wifi connection from a hotspot across at the office strong enough to review emails, write reviews and basic work. There is another hotspot up by the family centre and pool area.

The pool was large enough to accommodate quite a few people and was clean and well laid out. A short walk from the pool is the lake, not recommended for swimming but it is possible to hire canoes, paddle-boats and fishing boats.

We were here over the Fathers Day and there was quite a few children but nothing at all noisy or disturbing. There is a fenced dog walk suitable for the smaller breeds.

The laundry was $2 per load and $1.50 for a dryer. Six of each machines. There are several bathrooms dotted about the CG. The set near the main entrance are dated to the late 80' early 90's with veneered wood panels. Showers had privacy curtains. All appeared very clean and attended to several times per day.

Staff were polite and helpful, escorting us to our site and bringing the parcel that had been delivered on the day of our arrival. There is a camp shop but it has really odd hours of operation including closed on a Monday & Tuesday. We camped at Newport / Little Diamond Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
