What a beautiful park. All the sites are pull throughs which are parallel to the road. This gives each unit free unobstructed views of the green area down to the lake. Even though our site was supposed to be a 50 amp the service wasn't working but we were able to do fine on the 30 amp circuit. Most of the sites are well shaded especially on the lake side. Due to the extremely high fire danger there was no burning allowed even though there was a nice fire pit. OTA television service was a little spotty but this may have been due to the extremely smokey conditions from wildfires. The host couple was extremely friendly and helpful. While there is not sewer at each side there is a nice dump station which was easily reached on leaving the park . We would definitely stay at this park again. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a self-guided tour of McNary Dam which was very interesting. During the Salmon Run you are able to watch the fish move up the fish ladders and over the dam.

This was our second stay here as we really liked it the first time. This time, they had no water, and host was tentative about where we could get some. Flies bit us, so we had to go indoors. Very disappointed, although the price made it tolerable this time. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Check on water availability before you go. There is a water faucet at the Lake Umatilla swimming area. We filled up a portable jug to get by for the night.

Very pretty park with grass and shade. All spots are pull-through. If you have a big rig, watch out for the trees. Some of the electric sites are 30 amp and some are 50. I thought we had booked a 50 amp site but was mistaken. So be careful when picking a site if you need 50 amps. While there is not water access in the park, the day use area has a nice shady beach and is pretty close to the RV park. My main complaint was the bugs, which could be a seasonal issue. We were swarmed by gnats and biting flies and in the morning, there were spider webs everywhere. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park along the Columbia River (on the Washington side) near McNary Dam & Lock. My ONLY complaint - which is unavoidable - are the gnats that horde near the RV! Bleh - bought some bug spray to help out. Very friendly hosts. Sewer, water, and 30amp electric is available. A public shower is available in men's & women's bathroom. A laundry room with a single washer & dryer is also available. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are no real direct access sites to the water - there are a couple "paths" people have made over the years. To access the water/beach, you'll need to go about 1.5 miles to the Day Use side of the park.

Yes, this is a very clean COE park with very friendly hosts.. All pull thru sites are level. Good Verizon, no T-mobile. Only 2 cons: 1) cannot see the River from any site and no path to the beach (can see a bit when you walk to the edge; 2) they were having a water emergency which is understandable but should have told us before we selected a full hookup site, luckily we always travel with full tank of water as we would not want bad water into our "system." Very glad they keep some sites for 1st come, 1st served for travelers. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Motorhome.

This is our first stay at a COE park after 10 yrs traveling in a MH. What a surprise at how very nice this park was. We parked 2 nights there while we visited Couer d'Alene Idaho before heading to the Oregon Coast. This is a shady clean park with mostly pull thru sites. The sites are terrific! They are large, parallel to the road and very easy pull in and out. We would definitely stay here again and will investigate COE parks from now on. The price and design are great. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Motorhome.

We were delighted. Helpful staff. Clean, flat pull thrus, handicap access able areas with room for wheelchair to use the picnic table!

Shade trees were a welcome change in mid Sept. When hot & dry. Most sites could accommodate our 40' Country Coach. Though the canopy of trees did brush the antennas & we had to creep through the road to & from our site. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Motorhome.

Have to agree with previous reviewers! This is a beautiful spot! Nice and spacious sites, great electric service, good water pressure and quiet! There is a train track about a half mile away but is not noisy, unlike some other parks on the Columbia River. The hosts are so very helpful. We arrived without a reservation but they found a space for us. When our plans changed they were able to find another spot so that we could stay an additional three days. It is best to have a reservation through recreation.gov. This park stays very busy through the summer months. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the first time I have stayed at a COE campground and I have to say I was very impressed with what we found. Originally, I made our reservations on-line and after travelling for nearly 600kms it was very nice to be greeted by name as though we knew the hosts from a previous visit. The hosts continued to be very helpful and supportive throughout the stay.

Nearly all sites appear to be very level asphalt pull-though coming off either side of the asphalt loop road. Our was long enough to host our 40' 5er and full sized truck. The 50-amp power didn't work which I reported but everything else was in good working order. Each site has a large gravel patio with a picnic table and fire pit. Trees provide welcome shade for the heat of the day. There is no cable tv but we got about 12 OTA stations and satellite looks possible. No wi-fi anywhere but cell phone signals do reach. There is a small laundry room with one washing machine and one drier. A wash cycle turned out to be $1.25 and took about 35 minutes.

On the mens side the was one shower, two stalls and a couple of hand sinks. The bathrooms are slightly dated but clean and looked after. It is just a shame that some people seem unable to flush after using the toilets!

Whilst alongside the Columbia River, none of the sites can really be classed as riverside or river access. There is a small beach/swimming area and separate boat launch at a different section of the park.

There was some road noise from the I-82 and trains do pass within 800 yds but the noise of these was easily surpassed on a night by the cicadas. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

For wi-fi we used McDonalds in Hermiston. Cheapest gas & diesel we found in Hermiston (Shell). Visit Prosser, WA for wine tasting (14 Hands Winery) - 45 minutes north.

Lovely COE CG near the Columbia but not on it. Large newly paved sites. Some 30 amp and some 5 amp. Good Verizon signal. Very friendly hosts. Very clean. One of the best COE we have stayed in. Not a lot of site and quite busy so reservations during the busy season would be advised. As with all Fed CG the need for tree trimming is apparent. And as most COE CGs the dump station was large and easily accessed. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Motorhome.

Where else can you get a paved, clean full-hookup site for only $13 for us seniors? Agree with all others, but want to add that it is in a very quiet place, away from major roads and freeways, which is nice. No view of the Columbia River because of brush, unfortunately. Also, I had site 18 and was able to get Dish satellite signal and good Verizon service. It was very hot the days I was here, so I appreciated the shade from trees. I will be sure to come back here whenever I am passing through. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Motorhome.

What a great little find this place is. We stumbled upon it but are spending three nights. The campsite is spacious with easy pull-through access. Full hookups and 30A/50A power. Gate and campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had no reservations, yet the lady worked to find us a perfect spot. Highly recommended! We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Walmart is an easy 10 minute drive. If you're up for more, you can hit Costco about 30 miles away. Get your diesel in Oregon since it seems to be about $.30 cheaper per gallon.
