We had a grassy tent site under the trees, not too far from the very clean bath room. The laundry facilities were in the community room with tables and a large screen TV. The hostess were friendly and welcoming and provided lots of good local information. Very convenient for both Port Angeles and Olympic National Park. Would stay here again. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Tent.

Very pleasant place to stay for a few days. Great staff/owners, who are happy to help with pretty much anything. Dog walking available for reasonable fee. Vegetable garden open for all to pick what they would like. Play areas for kids, picnic tables and fire pits. No cable. Some sites have ability to get satellite, ours did not. Antenna brought in 4 channels, but they have a large DVD library for free use. Free wifi was slow but useable, cell reception was fine (Verizon with booster). The pull through sites in our section were mostly very close. We had an end site, with a small patch of grass on a hill and lots of close traffic going by. A bit uncomfortable to sit outside on a slant with campground traffic and kids riding bikes, etc., just a few steps from our seats. We did so the first few days/evenings but tired of it towards the end of our stay. Overall, we would stay again but would probably request a pull through in the back of the campground. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Olympic National Park is nearby with Hurricane Ridge a "must see" and hiking to Hurricane Hill is spectacular. Port Angeles is okay and Port Townsend is worth a visit. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in town, plus a ferry to Victoria, BC.

Very nice park, Excellent hosts, Nice long pull through sites, no cable tv, satellite tv is easy to get with no obstructions in our site. Only problem we had was the person that was in our site seemed to forget he was to leave that day. We had to wait about an hour for him to vacate. I would have thought management would check their park to be sure our site was clean and vacated by check out time. Other than that we would certainly recommend this park to anyone that would like to stay in the area. They also provide dog sitting which in my opinion is an excellent service for those who need it. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice place to stay with extremely friendly people!!! Some excellent long level pull throughs; back-ins that can be a little close and maybe tight, nice grassy tent sites. CLEAN showers and laundry room!!!!! No cable and couldn't get a station on the antenna, but there was a rather large free DVD movie library! Free WIFI was available but not always reliable but Verizon phone signal OK. A few miles west of Port Angeles but easy access in to town. Would definitely stay here again!!!! We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elwha Dam RV Park and Campground, owner at Elwha Dam RV Park responded to this review

Thank you for your review. So sorry you couldn't find a station on your antenna. We get a few channels on regular tv, but every RV is different so its hard to know why it didn't appear for you. Wifi is currently being upgraded (an annual event :) ) so we are excited for the reach and strength to increase. We enjoyed having you here and wish you the best ahead ever! Nice campground and we'd definitely stay here again. There are all different shapes and types of sites: tent sites, pull-thrus, back-ins, some tight and some spacious. Very nice landscaping with the two small ponds and the walking trail around the outside of the park. The owners are very helpful with suggestions. The hook-ups were easy, we had a table and the site was quite level. Easy in and easy out. We went to 3 falls: Madison, Marymere (Barnes Creek is a fun trail here) and Sol Duc. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check in the Visitor's Center to see if it's clear at the top of Hurricane Ridge. Great drive and marvelous views. We drove to see Cape Flattery and hike the Shi Shi trail (very muddy in spots). The museum is very good. Dinner at the Breakwater in Sekiu was delicious. Long road to Neah Bay but great payoff. Breakfast in PA at First Street Haven was delicious with homemade pastries. Marvelous waterfront walk.

Roads in the park are paved and gravel, and a bit narrow. We had no problem getting into our site, but large rigs may have a challenge getting to other sites. Our grass site was just big enough for our 38' MH and car. It was fairly level and the sewer, water, and electricity hookups were convenient. WiFi was fairly reliable with so-so thruput. The bathrooms were excellent-neat, clean, with spacious showers. The laundry area was convenient and comfortable, though the prices were a bit steep. Overall, we thought the price was a good value for the amenities and services provided. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big rig pull through sites are large, level, and get satellite reception. There is something for everyone here. Tucked into the forest private sites and wide open pull throughs. If you are looking for slick this isn't it. If you are looking for a fun friendly camp ground in the forest then this is it. Be sure to ask in the office for local maps and restaurant list! We were skeptical of having enough room for our long 5th wheel, but the big-rig pull-throughs were level and plenty long/wide. Some of the other sites weren't quite so big. There is very nice landscaping with lawn & ponds. They even had a small vegetable garden across from the office that they let you pick from (the tomatoes and squash were excellent). We had good reception with our Dish satellite. Their wifi never let us connect, but our Verizon Mifi worked fine. It's a nice quiet place that's very convenient to Port Angeles and Cape Flattery. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This campground has the nicest owners of any campground we have ever been to. They are the most helpful and accommodating people and we really enjoyed our stay. We prefer sites with trees and privacy. At first we were in a full hookup pull-through with neighbors, but they let us move to a larger, private tent site with trees. The tent site had water and electric and they have a pump out service so we were happier in that site. We travel fulltime and it can be hard to get caught up on mail and deliveries on the road; I was very thankful that they allowed me to have packages delivered there. It can also be hard to find places to get my hair done on the road. I went to Envy Hair Techniques in Port Angeles where they did a fantastic job on my hair. This RV park is a perfect location for visiting the area. We visited Olympic National Park and took the ferry to Victoria, BC. Olympic is huge so it's a bit of a drive to some of the sections but close to Hurricane Ridge. There is so much to do in this section of WA that we didn't get to do everything we wanted to so we hope to come back again someday. Verizon and AT&T both worked well there. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for two weeks as this park is the best that we could find among all of the parks out here. The sites are gravel and the one we were on was narrow and just long enough for our 5th wheel. There was lots of dust from the gravel driveways and roads. On the plus side, you're very close to the Olympic National Park and we spent most of our time in the park. Both Verizon and AT&T work well here. Overall it was clean and the laundry facilities were nice. The owners are really nice folks as well. I would stay here again. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend, and the campground has full. We had a pull-through site which was long and level. Campground is built into the side of a hill, so pull-through sites are tiered. Hubby did need to take satellite dish off the roof and place it at the front of our campsite to get reception. Not sure if a tree was blocking signal or the rig next door which was taller (and also higher on the hill). WiFi worked well most of the time despite the park being at capacity. Friendly check-in service, and we were escorted to our site by the owner's (?) young son on his bicycle. He was very professional as he asked if the site met our satisfaction. Sites are gravel, hookups were convenient. Some roads are paved and others were gravel. There was some dust from cars driving through. Bathroom/shower house are either relatively new or recently remodeled--very nice. Showers are coin op--$1 for 6 minutes. The clubhouse had a full kitchen including sink, refrigerator, and electric stove for use. Convenient location to US 101 and WA 112. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

We dry camped here for 3 nights. Very flat and convenient. The regular spots seem a little tight/short. We liked to peace and quite and space where we were. The roads are a little narrow. Great location close to Port Angeles and Qlympic National Park. Clean laundry room with HE washers. $2.50 per load each washer and dryer (so $5/load total). Tips for other Campers:

Bella Rosa Coffee Shop has the best crepes and coffee and are very friendly (on Lincoln St in town Port Angeles). Hurricane Ridge in Olympic NP is easy to get to and hike. Cape Flattery is a do not miss if you are in the area, but a windy coastal drive--do not take your RV.

Nice RV Park with a great location. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The roads and sites are gravel with many having enough slope to warrant blocks to level.
