Typical KOA so the sites are narrow. We had a pull-through site at the end of the row and the site was very wide. Our "deluxe" site was only 30 amp and had no sewer. At the end of our stay, we could not maneuver our 40 footer to the dump station easily so we pulled into an empty site to dump. Honey wagon service would have been $20. This is a convenient location for both Port Angeles and Sequim. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

We had a great lunch at Smugglers in P.A. overlooking the ferry dock. We went to the visitor's center next door after lunch and found coupons for $2 off each meal!

This is just your typical KOA. The infrastructure was acceptable. All roads are gravel or dirt. Swimming pool and spa were well kept. Mini-golf had been removed. Wi-fi was acceptable. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Many sights to see in Olympic National Park and environs. Olympic Game Farm is close by. As is the Dungeness Spit Recreation Area. Another must see is Hurricane Ridge which is accessible right from Port Angeles. If you have the time head over to Marymere Falls and Lake Crescent.

We love staying at KOAs. They always have nice stores. This one sells Happy Camper wine.

The bathrooms were tile, logs and wood beams, mirrors and silk flowers. Really nice bathrooms!

The sites were a little tired and old, narrow and not so level. No 50AMP at the park. We used an adaptor. The grass is all brown because no rain and we couldn't use a charcoal grill. The view all around of the snowy mountains was really pretty.

Because it's close to the highway, it is noisy in the early morning hours. Don't try to sleep in! We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Fun fun fun! We were here for the 4th of July. There were lots of activities for kids and adults too. The staff was quite possibly the most consistently and friendly staff of any KOA we've stayed in. The camp store was great as were all of the communal facilities. The natural beauty of the place didn't hurt either. If there is any drawback (and there isn't really) the campsites are quite close together, and there were lots of people (but again it was 4th of July, so there's that). that said, all of our neighbors respected each other and the camp rules. So really, there is nothing negative to say. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not sure why other campers left such negative reviews but this was a very nice camp. Very convenient to town but off the road - about 15 minutes from the ferry. They're doing a lot of work on the grounds that seem like upgrades. The WiFi worked great but there's no cable TV - we couldn't get anything with our aerial so not sure if it's just in a bad spot. Spaces were roomy and not too close to one another. The view was lovely. The spaces were a bit uneven but nothing you can't compensate for. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in a 5th wheel trailer. The average rating is because of the close proximity to Highway 101...100 feet! Sleep was just about impossible. The sewer hook-up was at the front of the trailer. Had to put the picnic table over our neighbor's sewer hook up in our grassy area. Space mostly dirt. Spaces tight. No shade. Wonderful laundry. Commercial dryers and some front load washing machines. They advertise cable on the website, but no cable available even though it is wired for cable. The staff were friendly and quite helpful. The camp store was well stocked. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

When I review a park I focus pretty heavily on the pad site. I not there for the amenities which this park has a lot of. I stayed at site #3 pull through. Pretty much a disaster. While the drive did have some rock it was sloped front to back and side to side almost like it was twisted. On top of that they had replaced the the electrical box and moved it too close to the ground with about a three foot crater around it that had about an 8 inch drop right by your coach. Why? It had a 6 inch tree growing in it so this wasn't a recent event. They had a limited number of back ins that look pretty decent. The staff was very accommodating but bottom line this seems to be a park for small rigs and families with a lot of kids. BTW the rigs are so close that it makes using the picnic tables very awkward. If the guy next to you uses his fire pit- you will get smoke. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

When we stayed here 2 years ago I was not happy with the way the park was run. See that review for a description of the park facilities and amenities. We decided to give this park another try since there are new owners. We had a fairly level, gravel, FHU, pull-through site. The near the front of site location of the sewer was a problem. They currently do not have cable - many parks have had difficulty dealing with the provider demands brought about due to the change to all digital. Most FHU site are satellite friendly. Their 802.11 network was OK for our simple (e-mail and trip planning) purposes. Although they do have about 25 FHU sites, this park is best for small RVs and tenters. It has all the family amenities (an outdoor pool on the Olympic Peninsula is rare)and great "camping" sites for families. As usual with KOA, I saw recycling for aluminum cans only. The bathrooms and showers are inadequate for a park with so many non-sewer sites. $45 for our site was way too much. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

The new owners are really doing a good job bringing back this park. New gravel throughout the park, clean facilities. But the best thing is the friendliness of the hosts, which makes all the difference in the world. I will definitely stay here again when back in the area. OPPA! This park has new owners who are making great efforts to improve their park and bring up to KOA standards. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had a long 50amp pull-thru site with a direct view of the Olympic Mountain Range. This is a good base camp to explore the Olympic National Park. We would stay here again and recommend it. This KOA does not come up to the standards we are used to at KOAs. Normal park maintenance was just not there. The recycle area was more like an open trash area, totally inadequate. The park is next to Highway 101 so there is a lot of traffic noise. There are many other parks in the area that appear to be a better choice. It is highly unlikely that we will stay here again. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

This is more of a tent camping place. The sites are not level and are mostly dirt. Only a few 50 amp sites and two are "premium" and two in a hole. Roads are full of holes. Does not look like they take care of this place very well. Will never go back. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here the final weekend of July because the other parks we called in the area were booked. We have been here before and didn't want to pay KOA prices for 2 days. We had a level, FHU pull-through site with 60+ channel cable TV and good WIFI. This park is more campground than RV park. Only about 25 sites are really adequate for today's RV. There were more tents in the park than RVs and, of the RVs, more popups and small trailers than larger RVs. In addition to the 90 sites with some type of hookups, there are dozens of no hookup tent sites and a dozen cabins. My biggest complaint is that when we called the 800 number for reservations we got a message saying we could make reservations through the website. What about somebody who doesn't have a computer or access to the internet. When we called the non-800 number we were told to leave a message. We called the 800 number again and got the same message again. The message I got is that you can't make reservations here by phone. Apparently you must you use the internet. Fortunately we did have access where we were at the time we were trying to make the reservations. This is just wrong. I did not bring this topic up with the staff while I was there for fear of losing my cool. My only dealings with the staff revealed a rather snippy "we know best" attitude. I don't think so. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

One of the worst KOA`S we have ever stayed in. Our site may as well been in the middle of the highway the noise was so bad. Park was not being kept up, grass was high, gravel site but no gravel. Will never stay there again. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in May over Mothers Day weekend, where we got one free night. Well, we were charged for the free night & only got a rebate the next day from the "office girl" because the owner didn't know anything about it or how to fix it. NO MAINTENANCE....tall grass thrown all over after it finally got mowed; weeds around office & everything else; mold in shower stalls; clogged up shower floor; owner never said hello, can I help, nothing but a blank stare. Everything looks run down, weedy & seedy. Store is pitiful. There is good TV and WiFi signal. Water tastes good. Lovely setting with beautiful mountain scenery. Too bad this promising park is not being loved and cared for properly. The $42 is way too high of a price, but it is close to the Victoria ferry (7 miles West and no shuttle service). We would stay here again if the price was cut in half. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.
