The staff was excellent. Cleanliness of the restrooms wasn't that great. This location was very popular for families with little kids. There were many activities for the kiddos. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend for 3 nights. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Hosts drive through the grounds often to make sure everything is taken care of which was nice as well. The site we had was a bit on the small side (slide outs would have been an issue in our site) The family that owns it has been doing extensive remodel work on the entire facility and it shows. Even with being full on a busy weekend there were no issues with neighbors etc which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future. Our only complaint was that the onsite dump station was a slight incline which for our specific trailer proved to be an issue as we were unable to fully dump our tanks. We ended up finding a very nice and easy to access dump station at a gas station in nearby Sequim that full-filled our needs. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Being in the heart of the Olympics there is so much to do in the area from hiking to wineries to casino's. Lots of parks, beaches, nature preserves, etc it's endless. Both Port Angeles and Sequim have cute little downtown area's with lots of shops to browse as well.

We were last here 2 years ago. See my 7/16 review for a more detailed description of the park. We were able to get FHU, pull through, 30 Amp (there are only a few 50 Amp sites) site that was open enough for satellite TV reception. The Wi-Fi worked OK for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. This was the first place we have been able to use an outdoor pool (a rarity on the Olympic Peninsula) in a couple weeks. The park has plenty of stuff for kids. The bathrooms were fairly clean but inadequate for a park with so many non-sewer sites. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

A lovely, large KOA central to Port Angeles. Very helpful friendly staff, large newly refreshed level sites, clean concrete tables and patio. Very large property with plenty of places for the 9 year olds to bike and play, large clean playground, very large enclosed pet area. Beautiful view.

There is a treed lower area, looks like for smaller RVs and tenting, and a large open upper area for large rigs. We were told even more improvements are planned for the future. Very nice, we hope to return. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA has a decent location for visiting Olympic NP via Hurricane Ridge and the northern park. The pricing was high for a W/E site, but not too far out of whack with the area, which has a shorter peak season. Sites were decent on space, and the location was quiet, though right off 101. The bathrooms were pretty clean, but the showers were rather small. Wifi was surprisingly functional. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Great park and staff. It is obvious they have spent a lot of time and money sprucing this park up. It feels fresh and new. Great access to Olympia National Park. Grocery, fuel, hardware, restaurants and gift shopping close by in Port Angeles. Great stay. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Horrible, ugly campground. Pull-through sites are gravel surrounded by dirt and separated by boulders. Owners renovated these sites last year and didn't replace any grass so to sit outside your RV you are sitting in dirt. Our site faced a group of tent campers who had filled their site with old mattresses and boxes and bags. Complained to owners but nothing done. Campground was full on the weekend so perhaps they don't feel the need to make further improvements. Overpriced for these conditions. This park would be OK for tent campers and children. Just stay away from the pull-through sites. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Lots of trees, nice, but makes it a bit tough getting into your site. Nice pool. The showers were small and no place to put your belongings. Camp K9 was so far from our site, our dogs couldn't make it out there. No cable or sewer. We had a fire ring but it was right next to our propane. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Olympic winery just down the street. The laundry room was a mess. Dirty floor, partially disolved soap in tray of washers.

We stayed at a deluxe site that was paved, but all sites were spacious and well-groomed. They are completely upgrading this campground with new electric and sewers, and the picnic tables and fire pits are new. It is a lovely setting with a backdrop of beautiful mountains. It's close to Sequim, Port Angeles, Olympic National Park and the ferry to BC. Our companion stayed in a rustic cabin, which was very nice. We used the laundry facility which was clean, reasonably priced, and open 24 hours. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Olympic National Park is breathtaking. It is very spread out. We stayed at this campground for 5 nights and barely had time to see it all. One full day we took the ferry over to Victoria, BC as foot passengers. We could have stayed in Victoria an extra day. The ferry ride is 1 1/2 hrs one way. The first ferry is at 8:30 a.m. and last ferry back is at 7:30 p.m., so it doesn't leave much time to sightsee while you're there. Washington is a beautiful state.

While there were sites set in among trees, the bulk of the RV sites were close together and out in the open. There was a stellar view of the Olympia Mountains from that siting, however. The number of rest rooms was barely adequate at times and the stalls were quite narrow. The park store was very well stocked and had acceptably convenient hours. Both the swimming pool and spa were in good condition and pleasant to use. There is a robust kid and pet friendly atmosphere, here with dog walks, a playground, tetherball set-up outside, air hockey, ping pong and pool in the club room. There were group cook out facilities and eating areas. The nightly rate was somewhat more than we had paid anywhere else along our route. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit Port Townsend, Marymere Falls near Crescent Lake. I would make it a point to visit Wild Birds Unlimited which is on Hwy 101 just east of Blyn overlooking Discovery Bay. The shop itself is striking in its offering and presentation. Equally impressive, it is sited adjacent to a "public garden" that is truly scenic with pathways wandering among waterfalls, trees and a botanical area. We picnicked at a bench and table in an open grass area overlooking the Bay while there.

Typical KOA so the sites are narrow. We had a pull-through site at the end of the row and the site was very wide. Our "deluxe" site was only 30 amp and had no sewer. At the end of our stay, we could not maneuver our 40 footer to the dump station easily so we pulled into an empty site to dump. Honey wagon service would have been $20. This is a convenient location for both Port Angeles and Sequim. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

This is just your typical KOA. The infrastructure was acceptable. All roads are gravel or dirt. Swimming pool and spa were well kept. Mini-golf had been removed. Wi-fi was acceptable. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Many sights to see in Olympic National Park and environs. Olympic Game Farm is close by. As is the Dungeness Spit Recreation Area. Another must see is Hurricane Ridge which is accessible right from Port Angeles. If you have the time head over to Marymere Falls and Lake Crescent.

We love staying at KOAs. They always have nice stores. This one sells Happy Camper wine.

The bathrooms were tile, logs and wood beams, mirrors and silk flowers. Really nice bathrooms!

The sites were a little tired and old, narrow and not so level. No 50AMP at the park. We used an adaptor. The grass is all brown because no rain and we couldn't use a charcoal grill. The view all around of the snowy mountains was really pretty.

Because it's close to the highway, it is noisy in the early morning hours. Don't try to sleep in! We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

Fun fun fun! We were here for the 4th of July. There were lots of activities for kids and adults too. The staff was quite possibly the most consistently and friendly staff of any KOA we've stayed in. The camp store was great as were all of the communal facilities. The natural beauty of the place didn't hurt either. If there is any drawback (and there isn't really) the campsites are quite close together, and there were lots of people (but again it was 4th of July, so there's that). that said, all of our neighbors respected each other and the camp rules. So really, there is nothing negative to say. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not sure why other campers left such negative reviews but this was a very nice camp. Very convenient to town but off the road - about 15 minutes from the ferry. They're doing a lot of work on the grounds that seem like upgrades. The WiFi worked great but there's no cable TV - we couldn't get anything with our aerial so not sure if it's just in a bad spot. Spaces were roomy and not too close to one another. The view was lovely. The spaces were a bit uneven but nothing you can't compensate for. We would certainly stay here again.
