Overall Rating:

Nice quiet park. Good spacing between sites. Shower facilities are new. Easy walk to the river. Surprisingly good T-mobile service, for being out of town. Dump available was easy to use on the way out. Not giving the highest rating because there's not much to do here or nearby. It's just a nice, quiet place to sleep. We would stay here again. We camped at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 days in early April 2018. It is a beautiful park - so green and easy access to the river and the towns nearby. We paid $25/day with a $5 non-resident fee and an $8 online reservation fee. They have back-in and pull-thru sites with 30 amp electricity. It was extremely rainy when we stayed and although the site was asphalt, it was not level at all and we had a pool of water in front of our door the entire time. The bathrooms were individual rooms with a toilet and shower and were very clean. It looked like the showers were set up to accept quarters at some point but they were still free when we were there. They were warm, but the water stream was pretty weak. I'm sure this campground would be wonderful in warmer/drier weather! We camped at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very serene physical features. Deep forested campsites, pull-thrus and back-ins, some quite large. Very spacious and relatively level site. Room for our 37' travel trailer. Plenty of clear space in back to pitch a large tent. Short private trail through forest to connect to main trail to restrooms. Pump water spigot with gray water drain, doggie doo bag station, and dumpster located two sites away. Short hike to rocky Green River through day-use parking lot, on wide, dirt trail through woods. River use recommended for expert rafters only. Burn ban in affect due to potential for wildfire so campfire wasn't allowed. Road through camp loop adequately wide for trailer. Park info mentioned possible volunteer fire fighter siren noise can sound at any time but we did not hear it during our overnight stay. However, city traffic and a nearby trains produced noise, especially sporadically throughout the night. As a light sleeper, I recommend ear plugs. We camped at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

A lovely state park campground, that is very well maintained. It is also heavily used and quite busy, but that is because it is so accessible to Seattle and a worthwile destination. The only downside is that pull through sites for larger rigs are narrow and sharply curved among the large trees, making pulling through any site in a rig longer than about 35' a real chore. I had the very most accessible site in the park, and I had to back into the pull-through to situate in my 40' MH. But the beauty and features of the park make this worthwhile. We would stay here again. We camped at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Clean, relatively quiet, private sites, beautiful setting on the cold and clear Green River (a refreshing dip on a hot summer day). Clean bathrooms and showers with lots of hot water. Park gets full on summer week-ends. We camped at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

We had site #30, a nice long, paved, level, shaded pull-through with 30 amp electric but no water. The one-way road in the CG was a bit narrow but no problem, we have a 30 ft class A. We loved our site, the picnic table/fire ring area was really large and felt private with lots of trees, flowers and other greenery. The park was full over the weekend but reasonably quiet. Mt. Rainier National Park is an easy, very pretty day trip from this park. We camped at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park in a Motorhome.
