Very nice park. Lots of room in sites with table and fire ring. Check in easy with friendly lady. Hooks up were a little far away from your RV in the pull through sites. Roads easy to maneuver around and paved. Cable channels were good with a good selection. Close to Mt Saint Helens and on a lake with access from park. They rent boats if you want to paddle around on lake. Sites were very level. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

The owners have dumped a huge amount of money into the roads and buildings here. You will have no problems maneuvering any rig. The office staff is very friendly. There are separate areas for extended stay and short term people. There is plenty of grass on which to walk your dog and boat rentals for the small lake. Great location for seeing Mt. St. Helens. WiFi is spotty at best and Verizon no good. Our only complaint is, for the size of this place and its sites, landscaping is lacking. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

The helicopter over Mt. St. Helens is $300 a person but you will only be here once! We enjoyed it and learned a lot. Drive about 9 miles up the road for helicopter. You can book online.

Beautiful campground with many completed as well as in progress upgrades. Boat ramp and easy kayak launching. Access to the lake via protected canals. Level sites and my 44' was easily accommodated in a back in site. Pull through are also available. WIFI was so so but is being upgraded as I write my review. Great location for visiting Mount St. Helens. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is out in the country about 10 miles from the hiway. Entrance into park is easy. We pull a 43' fifthwheel. This is an absolutely gorgeous park with sites on canals that lead out to the lake. You can launch your toys and boats right from the lawn in front of your rig. Lanes and sites are paved. Sites are long and very wide with grass between. Plenty of room to park your vehicle. Picnic table and fire pit at each site. Staff are very nice. Utilities work well. Cable TV works well About half the park is treed and the other half is very open for great satellite reception. WiFI - during the week park is quite empty and WIFI works well all day. Even though park is less than half full, at night WIFI can be impossible to get on. AT&T Cell service is 3 bars. Verizon Broadband does not work at all. Area may just be too remote. No dog park but lots of space for walking the dogs. No Pool Small play area for kids but in effect whole park is a play area!! No Bugs. Temps are chilly in morning and evening. Days warm up beautifully for being on the canals and the lake. We cannot wait to return and stay much longer. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice enough park. Looks new & it seems like they are in the process of making improvements & additions. We would have inquired at the office when we checked in, but the young women manning the desk were not very welcoming or sociable. They handed us a welcome package & had us sign an agreement that we had read the rules & would comply with them. This is a big park with different sections. Not only was there no escort to our site but they weren't even going to tell us how to get to it. We had to ask. We had a premium water site. The water is a lily lake. Nice grassy areas but lots of goose poop. The park rents boats to use on the water. Lots of roads to walk the dogs on, too. We asked for a satellite friendly site. We were told ours had no trees. That was true enough but there are trees behind where the satellite points. After searching for a time our system managed to point between two large pines to find a signal. They have an extensive cable offering. The site was level & hook ups were well placed. Water pressure is very high. Conveniently located to Mt St Helens. Not much else to do here. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

This Park is situated 6 miles off I5, but not exactly 'on' Silver Lake. Check in was pleasant. Our back in site was against a muddy canal, with frequent mosquitos in the area. The Park is generally unattractive, with a narrow paved one-way system in place, with open gravel sites on either side. They put us right next to a large family group, with kids wandering about, unleashed dog, and loud yelling starting at 7:30AM. What mystified me was there were plenty of open sites away from this large group we could have been placed. Saturday night there was some type of loud (outdoor speakers) and obnoxious (tuneless Karaoke singers) group party going on Saturday night at the Pavilion, located 7 sites down from us. There were quite a few weekend only family groups with large well-stocked campfires going during our stay. Utilities worked fine, except for the WiFi, which was non-functional the first two days. When I called, the staff discounted this with 'Well, our Internet is unreliable." Finally on our third (and last) day, I called to ask if the router could be reset. It was. We then received adequate WiFi. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips to see Mt St Helens: Skip the State-run 'Mt St Helens Visitor Center' (4 miles West, $5 fee) and stop instead at the National Park Service Forest Learning Center (24 Miles East, Free, Restrooms, Exhibits, Elk Viewing areas). If all you want is a good view of the crater, skip Johnston Ridge Observatory ($8) and park at Loowit Viewpoint (Free, 1/4 mile short of Johnston Ridge.). The view is identical.

This was a beautiful park. Lots of open space. Spacious sites and most are level. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The negative was we were in the long term area and the wifi was useless. That along with poor cell service so we used cable TV and internet for the month we were there. That is the only negative we could find for this park. If we are in this area again this will be our first pick. We camped in a 40' motor home. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our first time staying here and we liked the park so much we stayed an extra night. It is in a beautiful location with lots of grass and trees and canals and ponds running through the park. It is VERY well maintained and the showers/bathrooms were spotless. The staff were helpful and friendly. Some of the spots are not as level as others, but they are very spacious and the interior roads were easy to navigate. The park is off the main road to Mt. Saint Helens, so it is convenient as a base for visits up the mountain. It is also quiet at night as it is a rural area. Would absolutely stay here again. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

Great place to stay while visiting Mt St Helens. Newer facility with nice sites, but restroom facilities are limited and far away from most sites if you need to use them.

Landscaping is super and lends to a nice place to sit and enjoy the great surroundings. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Large sites with lots of room. Very friendly hosts. Not much for facilities as the only restrooms/showers were at the very far side of the park. The WiFi was almost non existent as it was very weak if you could even get on it. There was not really a clear view of the lake as the park sits on a series of canals heavily covered in Lilly pads. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We have a favorite site that faces the west and the lake...it is gorgeous here and we have been coming up here for several years. Besides the peaceful and restful experience here...you are only about 35 miles from the Mt. St. Helens Observatory...a sight not to be missed. Sites are wide and well tended, as is the entire park. A good place to stay.... We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an extremely nice RV park. The sites are distributed over a very large area with a network of canals, so there is a lot of green space and water between sections of sites. The sites are quite long and wide, not paved but gravel. As others have said, the lake is nearby but not visible and only accessible by a long paddle around the canals that border the lake. There are kayaks for rent in the park and the paddle out to the lake is quite nice. The wifi is excellent if you are parked near one of the antennas, poor when not near an antenna. We had to move from our assigned site to a new one because the wifi was unusable at our first site. They have a complex system of site classifications, but we found a less-expensive "standard" site that was nicer than the "premium" site we were first given. The park is quiet and beautifully landscaped. The nearest full-service grocery store is in Castle Rock, about 15 minutes away. Mt. St. Helens was about an hour, but so worth the visit. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The restaurant Patty's Place is about a 10-minute drive to the east. They have a decent menu, including elk burgers and homemade cobbler, and good food. The view of the river from the back deck is spectacular, though it can get hot and bright out there just before sunset.

We love it, stayed next to friends in large camper trailer twice this summer. The spaces are huge and new fire pits now. The people are incredible, helpful and friendly. The park is huge and clean with channels of water everywhere leading to the lake. Good parking for the boat trailer, spotlessly clean park, wide roads.

Only thing I would like is if they had something to tie the boat to like a little dock or trees near the boat ramp. We put an Danforth anchor in the grass to hold it but not very secure even with the tips in the grass. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Truck Camper.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice, well kept grounds. An expansive park-like setting with many lakeside sites. Family oriented. Kayaking and fishing seemed popular.

My gravel site was mostly flat but sloped downward in the back.
As a result, I chose to unhook and park the trailer closer to the road to make leveling easier. I still had room to park my truck in front at an angle. The site was quiet.

Wifi was good for email and light web surfing. The Verizon signal was very slow and weak, often dropping calls, and my MiFi could not connect at all.

Asphalt interior roads seem new. Lots of tall trees. Sites are separated by landscaped hummocks, but they provide little privacy.

They have limited supplies and few snacks at the office store. They provided a coupon for one free coffee at their store, but I didnt use it.

I stayed here to visit Mount Saint Helens (MSH). The cg is about 10-15 minutes from I-5 on Hwy 504 towards MSH. The cg is a good destination spot, and quite worthy of consideration if you will be visiting MSH. I would stay here again. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

There are several Mount Saint Helens visitor centers along 504, the first of which is several miles west of the campground. The last (and closest to MSH) is Johnston Ridge Observatory, about an hour further east of the cg on 504. The Johnston Ridge Observatory provides elevated walkways for panoramic viewing, informative talks, movies, dioramas, souveniers, photographs and models of MSH.

Have stayed there many times before it was sold to Highway West Vacations. They have remodeled the office, now renting boats and renovated the meeting area. Still to come is a now pavilion.

Now, this last time we knew my wife was close to the top of the liver transplant list. July 4th we got a call to come in. Left the MH, with a sign 'Medical Emergency" and headed for the hosp. Turns out she did get a transplant. Called Silver Cove and let them know. Came back the next day to get the MH and found that they had comped us the extra day on the space rental! I was very willing to pay the extra since we did occupy the space an extra day. Yes, we will be back!! We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.
