This is very nice for a county park since it is secluded and deep in the woods. However, the interior roads are very tight and in spite of the "Big Rig Friendly" notation, this park is NOT big rig friendly. It is not recommended for any motor home over 36' and over 12' tall. There are a number of short turns, narrow roads and a lot of low hanging limbs which rubbed the upper part of our motor home. They are expanding the park with a number of new spaces and a lot of the spaces are nowhere near level. Our space was very large and fairly level once we reached it. The circuit breaker was old and I had to cycle it several times to get it to work. We camped at Flowing Lake at Leckie's Beach County Park in a Motorhome.

This is a boating venue, but was quiet on a Sunday night. There are about 10 pull-through sites, and nearly all sites are private or semi-private. Many tall evergreens and moderately dense ferns to muffle noise and conceal views. Bathrooms and showers had clean cement floors. Coin-operated showers. Fire ring. Speed bumps. Some hiking trails. We camped at Flowing Lake at Leckie's Beach County Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We took the 15 miles detour from I-5 because we are always looking for quiet places to spend the night. That's what we got. Tucked away in the woods and far from all shopping amenities. The paved road through the park is very tight and winding. We had to take it really slow with our 34' trailer in tow. Maneuvering into the back in site was tight as well, but we managed. Don't take anything bigger in there.
Sites are gravel and fairly level. No water in the park this time of the year. We knew and had the fresh water tank filled before. Power was stable. Verizon signal strong and steady. Very quiet at night, no traffic noise and no train noise whatsoever.
We'll come back when travelling in the area. We camped at Flowing Lake at Leckie's Beach County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

No sewer. Hot showers (coin), but restrooms can be muddy from rainy days and/or lake swimmers. Hilly park roads. Beautiful woodsy sites. Best kept secret: reserve for 4th of July and get a front-row seat on beach for spectacular fireworks show, with homes around the lake competing for most money spent in professional fireworks. We camped at Flowing Lake at Leckie's Beach County Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very tight driveway to the sites, and we, with a 29 foot trailer and crew cab truck, probably would not fit in many spaces. We had to pay for a premium site, which was not anything above the others, but we fit. Could not get satellite TV as the trees are thick, which would be good on a hot day, but it was raining while we were there and it was quite a mess. Long narrow roads to get there once you leave Highway 2, and hard to get back on Highway 2 going east once you leave; too much traffic. We camped at Flowing Lake at Leckie's Beach County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds I've seen in a long time. The restrooms and showers were very clean. The camp has trails to walk, and is next to a nice lake so there is a beach and fishing, too. We truly enjoyed ourselves here and intend to come back. We camped at Flowing Lake at Leckie's Beach County Park in a Motorhome.
