Great place for those who like privacy between sites. Better spacing than some state parks we've stayed in. Good tent sites too. Management very helpful and on site. Only drawback - steep hills accessing some sites would be tricky with a very long and heavy trailer. Great location for exploring the Columbia River Gorge and nearby national forests. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Travel Trailer.

Drive a little over 2 miles off the highway and you will enter a lush park with campsites enclosed by trees and away from the traffic and train noise. There are spaces for RV's, Trailers, and Tent Campers; dirt camping to full hook-ups. Don't miss this park. The Owners, who are on site almost every day, take customer service to the limit. They will help you place your trailer, or just provide guidance if you need it. We had to change reservations; no problems, no hassle, no extra charges. One of the owners spent time with us suggesting books about the area and also suggested a few activities for our stay. We were low on a few items and located them in the camp store, very low mark-ups which is really unusual. The sites are all almost perfectly flat; due to the rain there can be some minor leveling but we backed in and didn't need any blocks. The campground is clean. The showers, toilets, and the outhouses spaced around the park for "tent campers" were all spotless when we used them. They have a large area for dogs, a play and picnic area for families, and if you want a pleasant walk, just walk the park. Though I hate the idea of "Internet" on vacation, I needed it and the speed was more than acceptable. It is quiet here, other than other campers all one can hear is the wind through the trees. At almost every site you are next to the forest (on one side of our site there was just an open forested area. There is a picnic table and fire pit in most sites. If you are looking for a special place for RV camping this is the one in the Gorge, you can travel to any activity from here. There was enough space for both our 23 ft trailer and tow vehicle. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Travel Trailer.

Two close areas to shop. Small store to the left on 14 or go into Stevenson. At the camp store purchase the book Curious Gorge; a perfect book regarding what to do in the Gorge.

Only an overnight, but the place is great. Full hookup, level back in, everything very clean and maintained well! Great dog play area up the hill. The staff work really, really hard. We could have taken a bigger site but for just an overnight we took one close to the bathroom and store. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There isn't much within walking distance, but it's sheltered. White caps on the Columbia river, just a little breeze up in the trees. Bit of an uphill drive on a narrow secondary road, but only three miles, well worth the drive. Cascade Locks and a busy little town, Skamania, to the west; The Dalles to the east.

This is a very small, nice campground 3 miles up the hill from the Columbia River. It is rustic and surrounded by woods with many shaded spots. It is owned and managed by a young couple who go out of their way to make sure that all is OK. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Travel Trailer.

Loved this little park. The area is gorgeous and the park grounds are well maintained with beautiful forest and shrubbery. I can't say enough about how nice the young couple are that run it. It is a true family operation with their parents and kids helping out. The check in was easy and the owners were always there to lend a hand if needed. I hope we get back there again. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The gorge is incredible, and we were up there for a downwind outrigger race. Whitewater rafting was incredible on the White Salmon river, it was a first for us and we loved it! Lots of great breweries in the area and fun coffee places too.

We came to this park looking for a camping atmosphere with 30amp and H2O connections. Immediately upon arrival, I knew I found a little piece of heaven. The staff made my family and I feel like honored guests, although we arrived unannounced/no reservation. We were given a map of available sites to chose from with no pressure whatsoever. Beautiful, well maintained back-in sites with forested privacy throughout. A most welcome change after abandoning a crowded, truck stop-like park in Cascade Locks. We will return to this park again for sure. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Motorhome.

Little bit of a climb in the campground getting to some of the spots but very doable. Great spot, great staff, private campsites, tons of shade and very quiet. Manager was super helpful! Great pet area! We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed very much. A bit difficult backing into space but it was level. No sewer hookup but they did have a dump station. A bit difficult finding the resort but got help from owners. GPS not accurate. Checked out bathroom/showers and decided to use trailer instead. Pay showers. Park was in pristine condition with nice dog park not fenced in.
Would stay here again. Very quiet. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Several miles off the Columbia River, about 1000 ft above, although no river views. Beautiful, forested camp grounds, landscaped, flowering shrubs around office and dog lawn; and more natural further in. Very Friendly and helpful owners bought business 5 months ago. Kyle led us to site, and offered to back us in himself! W/E-only sites are more natural. Many sites separated by trees and/or staggered/elevation.

Site 43 gravel, level, long and wide enough for 30 ft tt and truck. Slightly uphill approach to back in, but site itself is flat. No neighbors in back, or on tt streetside - just the forest view. On curbside, neighbor is close. W/E only at this site. 50-30-20. Picnic table, fire ring. Ok to bring your own clean wood.
Site 40 gravel, ....... A bit smaller than 43. Good privacy at rear of site.

Quiet - no discernable train or highway noise
No Cable TV. Did not try broadcast/air TV.

Verizon 4G LTE signal was adequate
We chose to unhook but didnt have to.

If you like the natural / minimalistic feel similar to a state park, this is the CG for you. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bridge of the Gods over Columbia River links this WA CG to the Oregon side. Toll was $1 per axle. Waterfalls and hiking attractions are mostly on the Oregon side. Sternwheeler dinner cruise from Cascade Locks (Marine Park) was fun - food was Ok, beer was good. Beer pub in west end of Marine park was nice, scenic.

My assigned W&E site wasn't level so I paid for a full service site among the Flatlanders. The owner was very nice and helpful. WiFi was pretty weak. We will stay here again since it's the only campground in the area not next to the train tracks. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Motorhome.

Was not that impressed based on others reviews. Basically a gravel spot located between layed down timbers seperating our site from the other. Poor wifi, no cable, a very long windy road to there. Was expecting something picturesque for the price and the area. The manager on duty was polite and helpful, was the only real good thing. The park was clean and tidy. We would not come here again for the drive and the cost. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Motorhome.

We loved this place. Up in the hills above the Columbia River Gorge - you can't see the water. Tons of big trees. The best sites are up the hill, which makes backing in a bit tricky, but worth the effort! Didn't try WiFi (at office only). Verizon was weak. Many secluded tent sites too. Managers were friendly and helpful. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Motorhome.

Campground is up the hill, and really almost like a state park. Staff is great, and takes alot of pride in his place. Wi Fi is spotty, if you wanted to tent camp it has great sites too. He has the best designed fire pits I have ever seen. I would stay here again. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Motorhome.

We stayed here to get away from the trains running along the Columbia River so that we could get a good sleep before a dog show. The owners take pride in the park and keep it clean. They were very friendly at check in and during our stay. The power and water sites are up the hill among the trees and most are not level. We would stay here again.
