A convenient location for travelers. Easy on and off the highway. Services all worked well, including the free WiFi. Clean and tidy overall. Attractive. Pleasant and helpful front desk. Landscaped and watered lots. Level pad. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Travel Trailer.

Good Verizon 4G signal. This is a large park. When we were there it was not very full. Maybe 30%. The sites are spacious, grassy, and the utilities are all good. There is a mix here of regular RV people and funky people. So some rigs were nice class A clean ones and some converted school buses with "MafiaMotorcycles" and skull and cross bones painted on them. They also rent TP's for the night here. There is a walking-jogging track that goes the perimeter of this park. It gets lots of use from people not staying in the RV park. I assume they are from the Indian "village" that is close by.

There is a very large casino being built close by. We went there for Thursday night seafood night. It was very good. It was packed. We had to wait 30 minutes to get in. This casino is mostly unfinished. The parking lot is full. I think not much else to do in town. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Be sure to go see the murals in town. They are all over lots of the buildings. At one time this may have been a very nice farming community village. One of the murals depicts the local Polo club. Today it is something else. But the murals are good to see.

Quick check in. Pay for 6 nights and the 7th night is free. Paved roads and pad sites. Easy hook ups. They have both concrete pull thru sites which is more like a parking lot situation with just a planter in between sites or you can ask for a back in which is nice an grassy with plenty of space in between sites. Good grassy areas to walk pets. Wi Fi was a bit iffy but was great when it worked. Local channels came in fine on the tv. Would stay here again. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

This park is very well managed. The staff is friendly and efficient. We were offer free coffee, tea and apple when we arrived. The driveways are paved and easy to maneuver. The sites are angled to make access simple. They are paved and equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The cable channel selection is limited but the HD antenna picked up all the major broadcast channels. The WiFi worked well for me but my wife had to use the hotspot on my AT&T phone which did fine. We will definitely stay her again. The restrooms are only located next to the tent area which is at the opposite end of the park from the sites that have cable. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Very spacious grassy sights, which isn't easy to keep green when it's 106 degrees. Nice walking path. Paved level pads. Swimming pool, workout room. There IS a sign at the entrance that says "No alcoholic beverages", which I assume is because it is on the reservation. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Travel Trailer.

We were leaving in the morning so requested a pull thru and they accommodated our request. The site had no grass, older tables and so close together you would have no privacy if another unit was next to you. The power pedestal was at the front while must units connect at the rear, fortunately we were able to connect. Most noticeable was how short the pull thru area, truck was partially in the roadway and we had to unhook to get level. No alcohol permitted do to being on native land, but not much mention of that I any reviews we read. Overall park area very clean but we will not return. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here before and this time the office was open late so we could obtain the WiFi code. The Cable had 15+ channels, not all the local channels come in. The sites are wide, separated and distant from the road noise. Only certain sites have cable and you must pay extra. Long 8/10 mile walk around RV park that many people are using, I doubt they all are staying here in the RV park...but good to see so much exercise. Each site has a trash can and there is recycling at the office which is nice (we are from Oregon). I recommend this campground over anything in Yakima proper...the next good town for camping is Ellensburg or on the Columbia River outside of Goldendale. We will return. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

The biggest problem here is that when you come from the east or south there is no signage. The park is on Buster Rd, but the road is not marked, so consequently we drove right by the turn, and had to find a place to turn around on the open lands to the west. I suggested to management that they just put a small sign at the road with an arrow pointing and the words RV park- this way, but they said most of their clients come from the west and there is adequate signage from the west on the highway. They acted like my complaint was not important, smiling and laughing. This experience alone put us off the park, even though the sites are nice, wifi works, etc.

The sites here are all paved as are roads in the park, water sewer and electricity all work well. There is a pool. The park has some large trees but most sites are very open and spacious. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Travel Trailer.

About a half mile to casino if you feel the need to lose some money.

Great full hook up back in sites. Large spots with nice tables, level pavement, and plenty of space to stretch out in - not cramped with your neighbor on top of you. Propane and laundry on site, nice pool and hot tub, complementary K-cup beverages in club house. Friendly staff. Additional +'s about this camp site are proximity to Zillah wine tasting, Yakima Valley attractions, and casino. We will come back next year at the same time for sunshine and Wine Cellar/Vinyard hopping. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Travel Trailer.

We spent one night here on our way to Seattle. The park is close to US 97, but is very quiet and peaceful. Located on, and run by, the Yakima Indian Nation. The majority of the spaces are roomy, with grassy areas between each site in most of the park. We paid extra to be placed in the "Cable TV Sites", which were all back-in sites. We noticed that there were a few pull-through sites that were all blacktop, and very close together. We did not utilize the bathrooms, showers or pool area during our one-night stay. The tribe also owns a casino that is located across the road from the RV park. Unlike some of the others that reviewed this park, we enjoyed the fact that alcohol is NOT allowed in public areas of the park or casino! The only reason we did not give the park a 10, was that the grass needed mowing, and weeds with thorns were growing in the area near the corn field where we were located. Some areas of the grass appeared dead, while others were lush and green. We noticed holes had been dug, perhaps to repair the sprinklers (?), but they did not appear to be working. There were landscape personnel working around the outside of the office when we arrived, but perhaps they need to work the perimeters of the park as well. We would definitely stay in this park again when traveling through the area. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Shore Services are good, 50/30amp, Sewer good, Water @ 40psi. Wi-Fi is available but I didn't use it. AT&T Cell Phone is good, AT&T Air Card is good, Verizon 4G LTE Air Card is good, Some sites have Cable. Back in sites are for those staying more than a couple of days, Pull thru sites are for overnight. Plenty of room between sites with grass in between. Roads are good asphalt. Didn't use restroom, showers or laundry. Satellite access is easy. Payment is good with credit card. As mentioned previously not alcohol is to be consumed here. Reservation rules. I liked this campground and the town. If you have time drive around and find all of the 75 or so murals on the buildings. There is a small horse drawn wagon tour for the murals around the downtown area which is nice. I would stay here again in the future. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

No alcohol allowed at this park. The pull-through site we had was 100% black asphalt with no shade whatsoever. Very little shade elsewhere in the park. They have a nice paved 8/10 mile track around the park which was nice to walk the dogs. The Wi-Fi was very slow, so we ended up using our hotspot instead. Clean showers/restrooms. We did not use the laundry. Big outdoor pool. 20 minute drive to Yakima wine region. Pull-through sites very narrow. Our neighbor's slideout was inches from our picnic table. They offer a Good Sam or military discount, just ask. We would probably not stay here again. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Travel Trailer.

The RV park we wanted to stay at in Yakima was booked solid for the date we needed. The manager recommended Yakima Nation RV Park in Toppenish on Highway 97. He said there were a lot of positive comments about it from RV'ers. So, we reserved one night, as it wasn't a destination but an overnight stop for us on our motorhome trip north bound. A large, relatively new park (the trees were not yet mature. One day soon they will be and the park will gorgeous.) Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our assigned space was being swept by sprinklers. Before we could reach the office to request another space, workers turned off the sprinklers. The spaces were large - ours was an end space with a sense of privacy. The park was clean, well maintained and secure - totally fenced. There was a playground for kids and lots of just grassy space. For those so inclined, there is a also a casino. Not for us, but we were impressed with the RV park and highly recommend it for those travelling central Oregon on Highway 97. A good job by the Yakima Nation! We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

We were there on Treaty Weekend, a three day celebration for the Yakima Nation. This no doubt affected our view of the park and our stay. The park, although supposedly reserved for park guests, was overrun with locals who were next door at the Cultural Center and in the area for the parade and festivities. That led to crowded and dirty restrooms, an over-run pool and a lot of noise. The WiFi did not work at all for us and surprised other reviewers thought it was good. Only some of the sites had cable, something we became aware of only after we were all set up. Ours wasn't one of them even though we thought we had a premium site. We also were not told, but read in the fine print of the brochure two days later, that all leveling jacks were supposed to have plastic supports underneath so as to protect the asphalt and damage could cost you $250. Naturally you could buy the plastic supports in their general store. With that said, and on some other weekend, it could have been a different experience. The park is spacious, lots of grass, level and roomy sites and a nice walking path around the perimeter. Not much shade. Would probably look to stay somewhere else next time. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

FYI no alcohol allowed. The casino is alcohol free, too. Admirable rule, but somewhat restricting. Perhaps this rule explains the extreme vacancy, in the RV park. There are very few permanent residents, as well. The contradiction is, this is wine country with copious wineries. We chose this park because there is a fitness room and a .8 mile track, on the circumference. There's a sauna too. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.
