Stayed 3 days on our trip. Had a great view of the Columbia River and the traffic on the river. Did some nice touring while here. Now for the negatives. Their cable is faulty as you can't get a CBS channel, (tried antenna - no go) reported to office and they said we have that problem. Then the management allowed a motor home to park beside us at a bad angle so they encroached on our site - they were only 6 or 7 feet away yet these sites are nice and wide. Also be aware that the hookups are at the back of the site so you have to unhook a towed. All in all quite expensive for what you get. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tour to see the Cedar Creek Grist Mill and the covered bridge there. Just beautiful. The Mill is only open infrequently but you can walk around it.

I read all of the bad reviews, which appeared generally to be 3 to 10 years old. My experience was different. I left a phone message and received a return call within a few hours by the owner. She had me bring up the website map, and walked me thru the sites that were available. We picked one and I was quoted the price, minus tax. When I arrived several months later, the first thing the check-in person did was to ask if I had AAA or Good Sam. She asked to see my card, and the original quoted price was reduced by 10%. Our space was nice, level stone. The stone was a good size; not too big to interfere with your walking on it, and not so small to get stuck in your tire treads. The park is beautifully maintained. Two grassy areas near the office are off limits to pets. However, pets are allowed on the grassy area along the river, which is larger than two football fields. It is open in the middle and has large trees at either end. There is a sandy beach at the river's edge, but swimming is not recommended. A park employee stopped by and warned me about the Sheriff's Dept writing "Fire Lane" tickets if any part of your vehicle sticks out over the asphalt driveways. There was no fire lane signage so I was skeptical, but it was easy enough to pull my truck completely off the asphalt on to the level rock site. I can't tell you how often I've had trouble backing into a site because someone's vehicle is parked stick beyond there site. I had a dedicated electrical pedestal. But I did notice that some motorhomes drove straight into "back-in" sites (I guess to take advantage of the river view). This would put their hookups on the wrong side. There are a lot of written rules, but none of them seemed to affect me. I'm not sure what the local attractions are, but I'd return just to sit and watch the river flow by. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate includes 10% Good Sam discount. The site was a pull-in with a view of the Columbia River. The site was gravel, but not level front to back, and had a picnic table. The site was FHU with 50 amp. The park supplied a 50 amp extension cord to reach the service connection. The park is very nicely landscaped and maintained. The park had good WiFi. We had good Verizon reception and good DishTV satellite reception. We would stay here again. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart and Safeway are within a couple miles of the park. Access to the Oregon coast via Astoria is about 90 minutes from the Columbia Riverfront RV Park. Astoria has the Columbia Maritime Museum and the Astoria-Megler Bridge that crosses the Columbia River into Washington providing access to Cape Disappointment.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful park consisting of 76 sites with gorgeous views of the Columbia River. Sites are all gravel and a mix of back-in, pull-in and pull throughs with a picnic table. All sites are FHU with 30 and 50 amp service on a shared pedestal, but this can be problematic when you back-in and your neighbor pulls in. If they are already using the plug you need, then you will have to get an extension from the office to reach the pedestal on the other side. However, the office is mindful about this when you reserve, just let them know what you need. We stayed in site 11, a level riverfront site with great views and a large tree at the back of the site which gave us wonderful shade all afternoon (most sites are in the open with no shade). Interior roads are paved and easy to navigate. Bathrooms were clean and consisted of 3 toilets and 2 showers. Laundry area had 6 washers and 8 dryers (we didn't use). The grounds are large, well-manicured and watered every day. Good beach access for swimming, fishing or kayaking. Office area was nice with a small selection of necessities such as milk, eggs, snacks, beer/wine, etc. They also have DVD's you can check out for free. Propane sold on site. Pool area was nice (open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) but is locked so you have to request to use it. Ditto for the upper viewing deck. As others have stated, there are a lot of rules so make sure to read them on their website before booking. We didn't have any issues during our stay as previous reviewers mentioned, but we also travel without children or pets. We found staff to be nice and informative. They even asked upon check-in if we had Good Sam before asking for payment. Good utilities and they were well-placed. Verizon signal was fair to good. Free secured wifi worked well but slowed considerably when the park was full. 48 cable channels included in price. We really enjoyed our stay in this park and would most definitely return! We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Walmart is about 3 miles from the park. We spent an afternoon at Ilani casino which is 15 minutes away. Mostly, we enjoyed sitting under a shade tree watching the ships go by! We ate at Los Pepes since other reviewers recommended it, but it was the worst Mexican food we have ever eaten.

Rate is for unobstructed long pull site with clear views of Columbia River. Read the rules before visiting this park. Didn't realize there no motorcycles allowed and no exceptions. Staff did find me a off site storage facility for one week stay. Staff works yard to keep area watered and clean. Beautiful flowers and large grass areas in the park. Good asphalt interior roads with easy access and rock at sites. Very quiet and peaceful and good views of Columbia river and surrounding hills. This is our fifth stay here, and we will be back. Beautiful park with lots of flowers, well kept, and yes, they do have a lot of rules, but that is why it is a beautiful place to stay. They had a wonderful fireworks show over the river. Clean restrooms, laundry (1.00 to wash - can't beat that). Everyone is friendly and helpful.

We decided to stay an extra week, so we had to move our RV, but no big deal. Did lose some of our great views, but not far to walk over over to the river, and they provide benches to sit on at the river's edge. Big ships and tugs are amazing. Can't get enough pics of them. If you are really lucky, the America Cruise Paddle Wheel Steamer comes by. Make reservations early: they fill up. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A very nice well kept campground. In the rules there are more do notes than do's. Both the manager-owners need to be a little more personal. Large grass area between park and river. Front row visitors enjoy a great view out the front window of the river. The staff are hard working and very friendly. Would definitely stay at this park again. We like this park because of the location to the river, it's nice to walk the dogs on the beach, play in the river, and watch the big ships go by. It's not dog friendly though because there isn't grass between many of the sites and you have to walk a distance to the dog friendly area. Our little dogs won't "do their business" on the leash so we unclip them away from anyone else for the few minutes it takes and were reprimanded a few times about breaking a Washington law as well as a park rule. We understand that dogs should be on leashes and if there is anyone around we put ours on their leash but for a few minutes in the corner of the dog area with no one around should be fine. There are many rules, some are enforced and some aren't. We stayed for almost a month (paid $1,600+ to do so) and assumed that the rigs that would be coming and going would be in good repair. There were quite a few times that we had rigs near us that were less than attractive and when you're so close together, that is important. Many people comment about the people who own and work here, some of them definitely could use some classes in customer service and being friendly. Just a nod or a smile when driving around on the golf cart would go a long way. As much as we like the location, we will probably not stay again unless we can't find anywhere else. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed this park, which has fantastic views of the river. There is a huge grassy area with older playground fronting the river. We also enjoyed the big chess board. Each pair of sites shares a pole with one 50A and one 30A connection, but the office seemed to space units around so that this wasn't an issue (and they have adapters if needed). The site was not quite level. Very strict on the type of sewer hose allowed. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

We llke this camp site. You're next to Columbia River, far enough away from the Hwy 5 freeway so you don't hear the noise. Spaces are very close. Your neighbors sewer is next to your picnic table. The dog area is very large. The owners have a little attitude and could be a little more friendly (especially the lady). We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Can't beat the views from the back row! Which we were told was all back in slots. Not true! We were also told that there are double hookups at every pole. True as long as both rigs are not 30 since there is one 50 and one 30 on the poles. We didn't know where to plug in since the rig next to us was already using the 30 at our pole. We didn't know until the day before we left (after staying a week) that the office had adapters we could borrow. Double sewer line openings too close together. We had to remove our fitting so the people sharing with us could get their fitting out. Due to our close neighbor parked in a pull-in, our awnings nearly touched when extended and the rig doors opened into each others sitting areas. Oh and if you have visitors get ready to pay $5 for each one of them per day. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Town of Cama has antique shopping. See Mt St. Helens for sure. Little town of Woodland WA has good mexican food at a place called La Casa Tapatia across from Burgerville. And golf on the Lewis River Golf Course is worth the drive with great food and the scenery on the river is amazing.

Beautiful location to be sure. Pretty expensive we thought. Beware of the rules. Older guy riding around in his golf cart nicknamed "Grumpy." I think that one of the rules is that he's not allowed to smile or even return waves or greetings. Never, ever experienced a $2.50 PER PERSON charged for guests stopping by the site for dinner or even a quick visit. Great location and scenery, but a park run by unhappy people. This is a great park for being on the river and watching river traffic. We loved it. The sites are gravel which is a bit of a bummer. Would be much nicer with concrete pads or a composite material. It is fairly isolated and there really is not much to do locally. Portland is 30 miles away. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.
