A convenient location for travelers. Easy on and off the highway. Services all worked well, including the free WiFi. Clean and tidy overall. Attractive. Pleasant and helpful front desk. Landscaped and watered lots. Level pad. - carliewired
Aug 2015 - $30.00
Quick check in. Pay for 6 nights and the 7th night is free. Paved roads and pad sites. Easy hook ups. They have both concrete pull thru sites which is more like a parking lot situation with just a planter in between sites or you can ask for a back in which is nice an grassy with plenty of space in between sites. Good grassy areas to walk pets. Wi Fi was a bit iffy but was great when it worked. Local channels came in fine on the tv. Would stay here again. - EggerMar

Good Verizon 4G signal. This is a large park. When we were there it was not very full. Maybe 30%. The sites are spacious, grassy, and the utilities are all good. There is a mix here of regular RV people and funky people. So some rigs were nice class A clean ones and some converted school buses with "MafiaMotorcycles" and skull and cross bones painted on them. They also rent TP's for the night here. There is a walking-jogging track that goes the perimeter of this park. It gets lots of use from people not staying in the RV park. I assume they are from the Indian "village" that is close by.
There is a very large casino being built close by. We went there for Thursday night seafood night. It was very good. It was packed. We had to wait 30 minutes to get in. This casino is mostly unfinished. The parking lot is full. I think not much else to do in town. - RFCN2

Several long term residents but no problems. Over air TV , free WiFi was a little slow at times, quiet. Nice little park, would definitly stay here again. - Retired Papa
Jul 2017 - $35.00
A small park that has a friendly, helpful owner. Wifi worked reasonably well, but speed wouldn't support streaming. No cable tv but plentiful OTA channels. Rest rooms and showers were clean and while not the most modern, were more than adequate. Would definitely stay here again. - blokeman

Nice staff but sites are much too close. Bathroom/showers and ustilities are dated. Park need to an upgrade. Works as a basecamp for winery tour and general agricultural interest. - gumper

I stayed here 3 nights in site 35 while passing through in a 27 foot motorhome with tow car. I really liked this park. The price reflects payment for a premium site - one of the ones that are spaced around two circular drives. It was definitely worth the extra money. The sites are spacious and you have a large area behind and to the side of your camper that is all yours. The pad is paved and level. The non-premium sites are lined up in a row quite close together. Site 35 was particularly nice because it backed up to a wooded area and had shade much of the day. This is an urban park which is an oasis of green grass and large shade trees located in the flood plain of the Yakima River. It has a very large day use area with a few nature trails. Great for walking the dog. There were mosquitos but not hordes of them. There are also some nature trails in a wilderness area between the dike and the river. The park was very quiet and very well maintained. Lots of ranger presence. Verizon service was excellent. The price does not reflect the $8 reservation fee and an additional one-time $5 non-resident fee. But they don't charge extra for a tow vehicle. Water and electricity all worked well. I did not use the restrooms. - SoloRed

We wanted to stay 3 nights to visit the nearby national park so we tried to make reservations on line but the website wasn't working correctly. We emailed the park directly but never received a reply. Because our reservation at another park was fouled up, we had to find a site when we arrived in the area. Fortunately, there was a site available for the 3 nights we needed as there aren't many options in the area. The park is located in town. It is a short drive from I-82 (Exit 33 or 34) along secondary streets. The park was undergoing some road work so there were some rough obstacles to overcome but the project was being finished on the day we departed. The interior roads & back in parking pads are paved. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV's. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and P/T's. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. This park seems to understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level parking pad as most of the them were level but some required blocking. The camp loops (sites 17 - 36) have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the center of the sites. The sewer connection fitting was at ground level making it easy to establish a downhill flow depending on the discharge point. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. All sites have an outside table & fire pits. Orientation of the sites caused some not to have any shade on passenger side. The camp loop sites had a few trees that could interfere with satellite reception depending on site assignment and dish configuration. The P/T's were under an extensive tree canopy making satellite reception difficult at best. No cable. The park information didn't mention anything about broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. No park provided WiFi. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone. - bsb814
Sep 2016 - $40.00
We have stayed at this park many times over the last 15 years and it is a favorite lunch stop when traveling through the area.
I recommend the circular, full hookup, backin sites. They are paved, fairly level and much more space between the sites than the pull through sites. These sites back up to a wild life area featuring a mountain bike trail and miles of level foot trails through trees and brush. The campground also features a pretty pond with a short trail going around it, lots of birds and pond turtles. Within a mile of the SP entrance, you can access miles of paved bike trails that go in each direction stretching from Union Gap to Fruitvale or Selah depending on your route.
I find the staff very nice and accommodating. The bathrooms are typical of a state park and cleaned daily. My only complaint is the last 2 years of visiting this park we've encountered several homeless people here. One actually parked a really old van next to us in a vacant site around 11:00 at night then left early the next day, I expect to avoid paying. We've never had any issues and they have a right to use the park too, but Yakima is known to be a bit rough so I've been more wary about leaving personal stuff out and locking the trailer door even for a short walk. - Julz

Sep 2017 - $39.00
This park is focused on long term stays. There were no open sites, so we were put in a gravelled area in front of the restaurant. It was tight but did have water and electric hookups. The streets were tight with cars parked on both sides. The area designated for walking the dog smelled like a farmyard and hadn't been cleaned up. The host tried her best to accommodate us, but this is one place to which we will not return. - frmOregon
Aug 2017 - $40.00
This is the worst RV park we've made the mistake of staying in since New Mexico. Tight sites, only one way in and out, angled speed bumps, RVs on top of each other, open your door and you're staring at the next door neighbor's sewer connection. Surrounded by razor wire on top of the fence between this overpriced "park" and the RV dealer next door. Long term residents with messy sites. Couldn't have been a worse unless we had a break in. Do NOT stay here unless it's an emergency, and then think twice. - TJL
Aug 2017 - $40.00
Absolutely horrible park! Made a reservation by phone, paid upfront for a site for our 19ft travel trailer for 1 night. Arrived at the park to find out it's almost all monthly rentals (people that have obviously been there quite a while), and cars and trucks parked in the roadways so that the attendant had to have people move them just so we could get close to our spot. Site was so small with vehicles parked all around the site, we were unable to even get our trailer backed in, mind you we have a 29ft trailer with a full size pu truck. Attendant said they've had a 36ft trailer in that spot, but the length of the the site including the roadway was less than a total of 35ft, so that was clearly a lie. the attendant said she'd get more people to move their vehicles so we might be able to squeeze in, but when we asked how we were going to get out of said spot at 7:00am the next morning she told us that WE would have to just wake people up and make them move...um no. Refused to give us a refund even though their park is incredibly misrepresented and not as advertised. We left very unsatisfied and do not recommend ever staying at this park! - Jvmc

Very bad part of town. Just down the street from Union Gospel Mission lots of transients and hookers and pimps. Drug shops and adult sex shops if you are into that kind of things. Don't feel safe staying here. Won't stay again and the price is outrageous on the other note internet was good. Had to unhook tow vehicle no pull through for 40 ft towing. - loral
Oct 2017 - $60.00
Drove down to see my family nearby. I noticed bad reviews online but decided to take a chance. It is in a rundown area of town, surrounded by an abandoned hotel? Apartments? Not sure but there are transients all around, wouldn't recommend. Next time I'm driving through I'll just keep going. - Raymond60
Dec 2016 - $40.00
Surprised by negative reviews on this place. It is not rundown - not brand-new, but well cared for. The only place in Yakima that is open through the winter with freeze-protected water spigots. Another big plus is the indoor pool and hot tubs open year round. Sure there are permanent residents, but all seemed fine, and it is not in a "bad part" of town. Easy on-off from I-82 but set back so no road noise. Not a destination for a long vacation but very serviceable for a three-day stop to visit the area. Water spigot at back end of site, so be sure you park well back. - rvericksons

"not accepting Good Sam cards at this time" although referred by Good Sam, no discount ! This is a modern RV park which has mostly long term residents. You can tell how long by the "stuff" around the RVs. The few spaces that are available for short term use are at the entrance among longer term campers. That being said the grounds were clean and the wifi was strong. There is no cable but OTA tv stations abound. All the services and shops of a large city are nearby in Yakima. - Jake the plumber
Aug 2017 - $55.00
Very small park with lots of permanent residents. While we were there the water pump went out so no water for about 12 hours. No enclosed dog walk. only 1 Shower and bathroom not very clean and it was really hot in there. level sites with grass in-between. - Yepwearedoingit
Jul 2017 - $1.00
We wanted to stay 3 nights to visit the nearby national park so we made reservations 3 weeks ahead of our arrival by phone. No confirmation number was given for the reservation but confirmed the dates multiple times before ending the conversation. When we arrived as scheduled, we were not on the arrivals list. All of the sites were full. The clerk asked for the name of the person who took the reservation. Don't know what good that would do as it wouldn't resolve the error in the reservation. The same for a confirmation number. Our reservation was entered for the following month. Only an apology was offered for the mistake. Had to call around to find another park.
Even though we didn't stay here, we did get to see the park as we had to drive through it to get out. The roads were sufficient to maneuver our 41' MH with a towed. The sites appeared fairly level but there didn't seem to be much room between them. And from the collection of items at several sites, there seemed to be a lot of long term residents. There were some trees that could create an obstacle to satellite reception.
The park is a short distance from town requiring a drive rather than a walk. The park is off a 4 lane divided highway at a light controlled intersection so it isn't that difficult to get out.
Probably did better staying at another location over this one. - bsb814
