1 Park near Beaver, West Virginia
Jun 2015 - $25.00
Newest state park in system and shows it. Good interior roads and well-kept facilities. Pleasing experience. Well worth the visit.
Hard to get to. Highway 307 into park steep, tight and twisty, with many deep potholes. - JAYFLIGHTRV

Opened in 2011. Sites in trees mostly level; sites in open not level. Gravel for roads and sites in good shape. Wi-fi slow - adequate for email. 50A service in some sites. Bath house in good shape; laundry has single washer & dryer ($1). Firewood available. Lots of hiking trails. Reasonable access to Beckley and all New River Gorge locations. Access from I-64 exit 27 is very steep and sharp curves; okay to enter, but probably want to exit via Hwy 307 (left) to Hwy 19 then Hwy 307 to I-64 exit 25. Some sites reservable; some available for drive-ups. Call to check on availability. - Rod n Mary

Inevitably, one of the prettiest and most serene parks we have ever visited. This park is clean, situated near a large lake and the campsites are very nicely kept. Half have water and electric, the other half have just electric. None have sewer. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and serenity of this CG and would highly recommend it. We wish we could have stayed longer. By the way, the Wifi can be 'iffy' at times. - Gus the Fireant
