Campground is on lake with a dam but no sites are lake view. Interior road is paved but sites are gravel and grass. Has picnic table, fire ring and lantern pole at each campsite. Has bath houses but did not visit them.
No reservations accepted. Honor system for payment. Senior pass was $15 per night for 50 amp. full hookups! For us, in a 40 foot motorhome coming in site unseen, we were very apprehensive. But it turned out very well.
Verizon wifi and cell access non existent but depending upon which side of the road and which site you are on, Direct TV was fine for us in Site 21.
Only 3.5 miles from I-79 at exit 79! Great place to overnight but would not consider it for a destination. Reason for high rating was easy access from interstate, price and hookups for the price. No shopping close by but saw the 79er restaurant at exit 79 off of I-79!!! We camped at Riffle Run COE in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $10.00
I paid $10 for a site with electric and water, under my Golden Age Passport. Regular rate is $20. Regular rates for full hookup $26, tent/primitive $12. Cash or check, no reservations. Open Apr 25-Nov 30. Shower/restroom facilities, laundry, playground, dump, fresh water fill-up, tables, fire-ring/grills. Sites are along Riffle Run, a pretty little stream that runs most of the year. Campground host was friendly and accommodating. We camped at Riffle Run COE in a Motorhome.
