The road leading to the park is extremely narrow. Thankfully we didn't pass another car coming or going. We were on a pull thru site that was nearly impossible to navigate into. When we arrived there was no water or electric due to a storm. After traveling all day we used our generator to get showers at 7:00 p.m. The host knocked and said there were complaints about our noise. He said quiet time started at 10:00 p.m. We had the generator on for about 20 minutes and had it turned off by 7:20. We didn't appreciate being told there were complaints when 1) it was still early, and 2) there was no power in the park.

We have been in much nicer, more convenient state parks and probably won't go back, although in a pinch it would be okay. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed in a electric only site. Camp ranger greeted us and was very helpful, even pointing out what to see in the park.

Our site was large enough for the MH and towed. It was level and paved. Sites are spread out and private. Showers were clean, with massage heads and lots of hot water. Didn't use the laundry.

A great place, wish we could have stayed longer. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Road to the Park is off the Toll road and was signed well. No one at the office, only phone number, parked in our reservation spot and called. They came later with local info. Area is quiet and plenty of room. We were put in a full hook-up spot we didn't know was available, great since we were staying 8 days. Okay laundry, but 2 dryers out-of-order. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Site was pretty private and had plenty of room, easy to back into and pretty level. Bath house was pretty dated and not kept very clean although the shower was good size and private. One toilet in the ladies room was broken and not repaired for the 10 days we were there. Has some Verizon service, no AT&T and no OTA tv although we got good dish network on site 6. The camp ground WIFI was very good. Park was very quite on weekdays but got pretty crowded on the weekend. Very easy access from I77. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, our site was one of 3 full hookup sites. The paved sites can be unlevel but ours was easy for us to set up on. The hookups were at the rear of our site, requiring several sections of sewer hose for us. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Princeton WV is about 10-12 miles south, for supplies and restaurants.

There are plenty of hiking trails in this park and two waterfalls to view.

Playgrounds are located outside the campground in the State Park.

They have 2 pull through sites. Ours was 14 which is 50 amp E/W, but they do have some full hook ups. Our site was very long and level at the south end of the site. Great park for hiking, picnicking, etc. Baseball field, basketball court and probably much more that I didn't see in the one night we were there. No air TV reception, but we did get satellite signal from our site. Poor cell phone reception, but there was some. They offer WIFI for $2, but we didn't use it. This would be a great place to spend a few days. Note: we may have picked up some stink bugs while we were there - be on the look out. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed in Mash Fork campground. Pretty small camp ground. We had water and power but no sewer. Wireless internet is $2 per day extra and was pretty good. No att cell but a little Verizon cell. Bath house was pretty clean overall but dirty around the edges. It was heated and that was nice on 35 degree mornings. The sites were large and pretty level. Only three channels ota but dish tailgater worked when positioned properly. About 15 min form Walmart in Princeton bur nothing closer. The park is well kept and large with lots of trails and paths to bike/hike. Will definitley stay here again. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This state park is right off the interstate outside Bluefield, WV. We stopped here after visiting New River Gorge. The campground is small, but very clean with electric and water. I believe there were some full hookups as well. The staff person was very friendly and helpful.
The road around the campground was newly paved asphalt, with campsites arranged in a circular formation. They were not too close together, and lots of grassy areas around the sites. Very quiet and woodsy. Was a beautiful place to spend the night. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

A beautiful, quiet, small park in southern West Virginia. Was a good place to stop and stay overnight. Had a full service site, which was nice for a state park. Back in site was easy to maneuver, with lots of room between campers. Would definitely stay here again. Not used to driving on winding roads so getting to the park from the highway was a but uncomfortable but for locals, a piece of cake I'm sure. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the nicest state parks I've ever camped in. There are balling brooks, large clean campsites, nice facilities and very close to the interstate...but quiet. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lovely state park with nice roads and easy access to sites. They only have 3 full hook-up sites (No. 24, 25, 26). We stayed in 26. Call for reservation if you want one of these. The rest are typical state park sites. Ranger and assistant were very friendly. Enjoyed the quiet evening and would stay here again. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice state campground in the woods. Gates are locked at night but you are given an entry code if needed. Only 3 full hook up sites, so a reservation is recommended if you want one. Sites are fairly level and the setting is very nice and quiet. Closest place to shop for groceries is 15 miles away. No OTA TV and satellite reception may be poor in some sites due to trees. No AT&T signal and sporadic Verizon signal. Within driving distance of several historic sites in this part of the state. We would stay here again. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I stayed at the Mash Fork campground in the park. I recommend reservations in the summer. Quiet park. Store is open odd hrs. Wi-Fi is available for $2 a day. Signal strength varies depending on site location. 3 sites are full hookup (50 amp). Others are water/electric or electric only. Paved sites of various lengths and amounts of shade. Getting my 44' toyhauler into the park was no problem. No TV antenna reception and only 1 radio station. About 10 miles to shopping and restaurants in Princeton, WV. Hiking/biking trails are really jeep trails with only some parts well maintained. Trail ratings seem to be based on the steepness of some parts of the trails. Playground close by the campground. Fishing allowed with state license (available in the park). Stayed here 5 days and really enjoyed the motorcycling WV has to offer. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Another beautiful WV State Park. Interior roads and campsites have been freshly paved. Some shady sites and some sunny ones. Clean bathhouse that could stand to be updated but not a must. Good staff. Probably wouldn't hurt to have a few more sites with water, or at least more spigots here and there. Very well kept. Will stay here again for sure. Restrooms and showers were small and only had 2 toilets. Only had 3 showers. Had to pay for 2 nights to get a reservation unless you wanted to take a chance on getting a site on arrival. Not much in the way of amenities. Good for a stop over, however. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.
