If you are looking for peace and quiet you will find it here. No noise except the birds. The road in is a bit narrow so take it slow. We were in the only pull through - very long with plenty of space for our 37-foot RV with tow-dolly and parking the car. Gravel site but level. Each site offers plenty of space and includes a picnic table and fire ring - plus free fire wood. The park is well maintained and there is lots of open space to walk and run your dog off lead. They have a huge field with a grass maze and a fishing pond with a wooden swing next to it. This place just makes you relax. The bathhouse is clean. No laundry on site. The WiFi was spotty and our Verizon signal was low and on extended 1x. Laundry and WiFi dropped the rating to a 4. We stayed June 5-7, 2017. We paid $45.05 a night, no discounts offered. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

We travel in a 40 ft Prevost and toad and found this gem of a campground. Like the friendly owners said when we arrived, "We offer two things... peace and quiet". It was the end of the season the the owners, who live at the beginning of the road to the campground, were making apple sauce and apple juice from the orchard. They gave us a jar of applesauce and it was delicious. The grounds are very well kept and the road, although a single lane, was trimmed way above our coach and we had no problems at all. The road is short and their are several pull off spots for cars. We came for 2 nights but stayed 4. Highly recommend this beautiful campground. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

Our first thoughts were, "OMG, what have we gotten ourselves into?"

We relied on the prior "excellent" reviews and overall 9.2 rating. Later, we discovered there were other places we could have and should have stayed. Road to sites was down a narrow, muddy road with barely enough passage between a house, trees and a hillside cemetery. It was NOT great for our 40 foot motorhome. Our campsite was a "mud hole." The "unique bus camping" options at one end of the field were an eyesore for us. Forget the campground's leash "pawlocy"-owners allow dogs to run loose. After staying, I cannot imagine why ANYONE would give this place a high rating.....We will not return. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

Our first thoughts were "Uh Oh! What?" Why did we rely on the overall "excellent" rating?

The drive from the road to the campground area was down a narrow, low tree canopied and muddy road, passing only feet between a house with parked cars and a cemetery. It was doable, but we were concerned about scratching the sides of the RV with the tree branches, or perhaps getting stuck upon leaving. The site in the field to which we were assigned was not level and also very muddy from recent rains. It was also unkempt. There were a couple of very old bus rentals (their cabins) that detracted from the general look of the campground area. The pictures designating the bathrooms were a Neanderthal for Men and a skimpy-clothed Raquel Welch for Women. My wife said that it all felt "creepy." Wi-Fi was good. IMHO it was overpriced at $45.oo.

We will not return. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a totally unique campground experience. The full-service sites are wide and situated around a large field ringed by trees. The half-mile entrance road is a bit narrow but can still accommodate large motorhomes, and the owners assured us two RVs have never tried to pass in opposing directions. While the farm also hosts a number of events, there was a wedding and reception on the day we arrived, it was remarkably quiet, the loudest noise coming from a cacophony of crows in an adjoining field. At night, there is a near absence of light, making watching an unobstructed sky special. There is no cable but the open area provides excellent satellite reception. While we did have cell service, our 4G hotspot did not receive a signal, primarily as it is inside the nearby Green Bank Radio Telescope "Radio Quiet Zone"; however, the campground's Wi-Fi is strong near the bathhouse. Finally, the owners are a wonderful couple who maintain a clean and inviting campground. We would definitely return! We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

Echoing previous posts, very friendly and helpful owner/host. Great spot to use as base for Elkins area. Lots of room between sites and best place I've seen if you want to sit around a campfire. Situated in an open field with lots of grass and level gravel sites. Lots of positives and highly recommend. A couple of things to be aware of: Wi-Fi for us was very limited and we had to rely on our Iphone hotspot for Internet. Most of sites are back-in. No cable available and TV antenna would only pick up one CBS channel and one PBS channel. Great place for kids and has lots of areas to walk and explore. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is a field ringed with trees. Pros: Owners are very welcoming. Sites are level and spacious. Water pressure is good. Restrooms are very clean. The campground has a feeling of being far away from town. Cons: WiFi is slow. Creek is not visible or accessible except at one site, and is very small. We visited mid-June and the field across the tracks wasn't mowed yet - we didn't see the fishing pond. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

We became full time rvers this year and this was our 5th month choice. Wow! What a treat. The owner welcomed us "home" upon arrival. Spacious level gravel site. Did I say spacious? The grounds are luscious and beautiful. All kinds of grasses, loads of sunflowers and even a organic garden that we were told we could pick from. The owners really have done a great job with this serene location. Water was good with nice pressure. Dish satellite available at most sites. Wi-Fi was good. A stream runs next to the grounds and there is also a beautiful pond. Beautiful! They have the Highland Jam every August and as a player, it was one of the reasons we selected this for our stay for a month. I have never attended a better run festival in my life. We heard some great musicianship while making many friends with no troubles whatsoever. One thing that really surprised us was that the day after the festival, the campground did not show any signs of a festival. This attests to the friends of the owners which are many. I am proud to say that the owners are now on our true friends list and we will be returning before the next festival. We already booked our site for next year's festival. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

Peaceful and serene campground nestled among the hills, with spacious open grassy sites and trees at the back. Very clean country-theme bathroom/shower building. Narrow unpaved single-lane road to access campground. Gravel RV pads and road inside campground. No children's activities, pool or beach. Free internet and firewood. Owner/host was friendly, helpful and regularly made his rounds to ensure everybody was happy. Good location for visiting nearby attractions. "American Mountain Theater" show was great: a must see! We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Travel Trailer.

If you are looking for a campground that brings you back to nature....this is the place! This campground is located near everything you can think of, but is secluded from the hustle and the bustle. The host made me and my family feel so very welcomed. Our dog was so happy and was encouraged to be a dog and explore. The farm offers views of the mountain, as well as a stream or river (depending where your site is). My children 9 and 5 did not need Cable TV, a pool or an arcade...they played like children. They hunted for frog, went fishing in the amazing pond that has "the big one". We then danced with the fireflies!!! The horses are a majestic site and you can visit them and see them do their thing. The resident dog "Zenny" is as sweet as can be! I cannot say enough great things about Pegasus Farm. I almost didn't want to post fearing that the farm would get to popular!!! We will be going back again...and again. Host, you have a great place and thank you for making us feel like family!!! Oh and one final note. The restrooms are immaculate. They are freshly painted and have the "pretty" features of home. GREAT PLACE!!!! We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We really enjoyed this campground. Large grassy area, and peace and quiet! The evening we were there, there was local musical entertainment, with food provided. It was like a happy family potluck. The campground host was very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay! We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Truck Camper.

If you like to be entertained with pools, and structured activities you may want to go elsewhere. If you like peace and quiet, genuine nice folks (both owners and fellow campers) and life off of the beaten path, you will love Pegasus. We did. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park. Friendly owners and staff; really try to make you feel at home. Very clean restrooms. Quiet and peaceful. Does have shaded tent sites; not much shade for RV sites. We paid for one night at check in and then ended up staying five more! Will definitely return. Call ahead. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice campground very clean. They have no office at campground so make sure you call before you arrive. It is run out of the owners house which is located as soon as you turn onto narrow road to campground . I didn't and he chased me down and lightly scolded me for not calling. So make sure you call. If you are looking for a luxury campground, Pegasus Farm is not for you. We chose this spot which is basically a big field with hookups. We were hoping to get to hear the resident "band," but alas, it was too late in the season. We weathered that disappointment by enjoying the peacefulness of the farm, taking the opportunity to let our little dog run off-leash, and experiencing the wonderful funkiness of the facilities. Make sure to ask about the "zen" (translation: hippie) bus/motorhome conversions that are available for rent.. Owner and his wife make you feel very at home, as if you are part of their farm family, and they have great tales to tell about their very interesting lives. We happened to stay there the weekend of the annual "Forest Festival" in Elkins. If you can arrange to be there next year for the festival, we highly recommend it. The parade alone was fabulous! Would definitely stay here again. A very relaxing and unique experience. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.
