There are apparently several campground areas. However we stayed in the South area which provides both 30 and 50 amp service. Excellent location for touring the Lewisburg and White Sulphur Springs (Greenbrier) area. There are no bathroom facilities available. We'd definitely stay there again. We stayed at this park for one night in September while passing through the area. The rate reflects the Good Sam price. We called the office, made our reservation, paid by credit card, and were given directions. We requested a 50 amp site and were told that those were located along the fence line. The sites are grass and the ground was a little soft from rain when we were there, but we were able to level without too much trouble. Water and sewer hook ups are available. Several of the faucets no longer had knobs to turn on/off the water, but you could turn on/off with channel locks. We actually left our channel locks there for someone else to enjoy (not intentionally). It's a no frills campground, but certainly one that serves its purpose. We would stay again if passing through the area. We camped at West Virginia State Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.Undo

A wonderful place in a most charming town. It is a full service campground with full hookups. We came for just a drive through and stayed for several days. Lots of history in the area along with many fine old homes. We were the only ones in the South Lot, easy to move our 40' in and then to back into the 50 amp service lots. The lot is on the west side of the road, opposite to the main buildings. We would certainly return. You can call, make the reservations and pay with credit card - no need to find the administration building to pay. We camped at West Virginia State Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $23.00
This is a difficult campground to rate. In the Woodall's directory it says it has 200 sites. Perhaps so but most of those are in grass fields and probably only used when there is an event at the fair grounds. I also did not see any restrooms open while we were there. We stayed in the South Lot which has full hookups and 50 amps. There are maybe 25 sites here. It too is grassy w/ pedestals in the back for electric and water. The sewer is in the back a well. We used our macerator in order to reach. We had no complaints. The ladies in the office are great. When you call for a reservation make sure you ask them for directions. The turn into the campground is easy to miss. We loved our stay in Lewisburg. There is so much to see and do and the campground is an ideal location from which to explore this beautiful part of West Virginia. We camped at West Virginia State Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is a great location if visiting the Lewisburg WV area. It is approximately 2 miles west of downtown Lewisburg. We will definitely stay here again if visiting the are. We camped at West Virginia State Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.Undo

The first thing to find this place! Leave I-64 via Exit 169 and drive through Lewisburg on Route 219. South of Lewisburg, route 219 splits into 2 one way roads. This is actually in the town of Fairlea. The fair grounds will be on the left of the southbound road, and the campground on the right, about four-plus miles from the Interstate. The best way to identify the campground is the by the electric pedestals and perhaps one or two RV's camping here. There is a sign, but it is not very prominent. We were here in the Fall, and there was only one other camper staying here. The place is poorly lit, so plan on getting here before dark. The campground is a typical fairground campground: a field with lots of hook-ups close together. The sites are level, but grassy, so leveling blocks would be a good idea. The electrical, water and sewers all work, and in October practically no one was here so there was lots of room. I have no idea if there are showers or restrooms available. Our rate includes a 10% FMCA discount. This was an interesting experience; I would stay here again: but get here before dark! We camped at West Virginia State Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.Undo
