This older Campground is situated on a hillside slope with sites carved out from what looks like an old orchard. Park roads pass next to your rig. I found navigating and manuevering quite difficult though the up and down gravel roads with frequent pits and ruts. Our site was located next to the exit road so we were treated to the sounds of the large Diesel pickups coming and going all evening. The 'Patio' side was 4' of sloping weed covered dirt ending at the edge of the gravel. Check in was not straightforward. Our 'RV' site was given to someone else. We were then provided a Class A, front in Site, even though we had told the Park when making the reservation we were a travel trailer. We were unable to disconnect as a result. There is no dump station at this campground. With many sites having only water and electric, this is a ridiculous omission. Site Utilities were older but functioned. I had no problems with 50A or water. Washing machines and dryers are very old and dirty. $1.75 ea, however campers we talked to indicated the dryers were pathetic. Overall, this is more of a campground vs. an RV Park, barely adequate for a night. I would not recommend this Park. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is at the perfect halfway point for us when traveling from NY to/from NC. For us that goes a long way in compensating for the closeness of sites and less than perfect interior roads. They do seem to be in the process of fixing the roads and doing some updates/upgrades. The utilities work well here and the service has always been excellent. We will continue to stay here during our travels. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Motorhome.

One night's stay. It was stormy, but quiet in the park for an excellent night's sleep. Staff was very polite and helpful. The road behind the building down to our campsite#2 looked intimidating but worked out just fine. We weren't comfortable pulling our 40' Class A into the spot, but it was easy enough to back in. No reservations! Made us nervous, but they appear Abe to accommodate anyone who shows up. No fancy amenities, wouldn't want to stay long term. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Motorhome.

We were on our way home after a five week trip to the Great Lakes and didn't realize it was Memorial weekend. Could not find anywhere to stay, but luckily, the policy of this place does not take advance reservations, so we called the day we planned to arrive and they were able to accommodate us for two nights. The site we were assigned was right by the busy road and was down in a grassy gully by a little stream that looked scary and pretty muddy with all the rain, but we were able to just barely get our trailer situated around the trees. We got mud all over our truck and trailer when leaving the next day as it rained overnight and made the site even muddier. These sites could stand to have some gravel added to keep the mud down. The water did not work at our site, but we still had water on board and were only there for two nights so it wasn't a problem. We did have good wi-fi here and AT&T cell service. I don't think the sites down by the little creek in the front had cable hookups, but we didn't need any as we rarely watch TV while camping. The road noise was loud all day and night, but we ran our fans and put in ear plugs at night, so we were able to get a good night's sleep. Looks like most of the campground is occupied by full timers living there, but was not a problem. We would stay here again for an overnight or two if in the area, but would hope to get a site away from the road. Also, with no sewer at our site, we weren't able to dump as they don't have a sanitary dump station, so this was not good for more than a couple of days. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Travel Trailer.

Nice person at check-in, however my site was difficult to get in to, rough, uneven, etc. I knew this place would NOT be to my liking the moment I parked. Across the small stream, there were 2 - 3 groups of men standing around with music playing loudly, all drinking beer and staring at us. I called office later early evening re: the wi-fi, and got a recording. Hoped someone would be there later on, after 10:00 when the noise (loud talking, laughing, loud music) continued...no answer, no one came around to check on the CG..noise and disruption continued until 1:00 am or later...VERY IRRITATING. I never went to the bathroom or shower, as the path leading up to them was rocky, steep and uneven..I had just had knee surgery, and couldn't do the uphill climb on such a treacherous path. It didn't look too appealing anyway. NEVER WILL STAY HERE AGAIN! We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Motorhome.

Really nice campground and we liked it that we could bring our doggy. The WiFi was decent and the site was good. Only reason I gave an 8 instead of 10 was there is no place to dump! only 20 sites out of 50 or so have sewage. Ours did not. We stayed two nights. If this park had sewer on more sites or even a dump station, I would give it a better rating. However, we were happy here and the office people were very helpful. We stayed here 3 nights and were very comfortable...just no place to dump. The sites are set up different than any other park, but we were near a small creek and felt lucky to have the site we did. BTW, the restrooms were very clean. And there is a well equipped RV store on the premises.

People advised that you can't turn left to get on I-81 when you leave, but turn right and it's only 2 miles down to I-81 south (or north). We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Fifth Wheel.

Be sure to visit Harper's Ferry and Antietem while you're in the area....less than 30 miles away and a pretty motorcycle ride on the country roads (or on the interstate if you prefer).

Gravel roads & sites in a treed gully. Sites are very close together with no privacy and most sites won't allow satellite reception. Had good wifi with full hookups but no cable. Friendly management gave directions to a free boat launch on the Potomac. Close to I-81 good for an overnight stop. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Motorhome.

Stayed here one night again, as it is about halfway on our annual NC to NY pilgrimage. Went with a 30/50/W/S/E this time. Site was nice and level, with easy in and out. Love the easy access from I-81, friendly helpful staff, large store ,and propane. We should probably try other campsites in the area, but why fix something that isn't broken. We stayed for two nights because it was close to Fort Frederick, Maryland, which is why we were in the area. Easy on/off from I-81. We were given site #47, which does not get Internet service at all. This may be due to the self-storage building between us and the office. We were in a different location than most of the campsites and it is really just a gravel parking lot. Our site did not have a fire barrel but since we were in a parking lot atmosphere, I did not want to sit outside.

The staff were excellent and they loaned us a Comcast box, which is the only way you can use their cable hookup. It appears that many of the campers live here permanently but that was not a problem.

My husband used the restroom and said it was clean and looked updated.

A word to the wise - there is no Verizon cell service in this whole area. AT&T does work but that didn't help us. Not the campground's fault but something to consider if wanting to stay here.

I would not stay here again. I thought the price was too high for what we got. We paid the same as those down below who did receive Internet service. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Motorhome.

Had stayed here in April, and as it is about halfway between NY and NC stayed again. 30/W/E site was nice and level. Not quite as nice as the site we had in April. Easy access from I-81. Tips for other Campers:

Exiting lower driveway is "right turn only". Not a big deal if you are heading south, but means some back tracking if headed north. Upper driveway allows turn in either direction.

Overnight stay. Obviously an older campground, but is well maintained. Full hookup worked well. Site right by a creek, a little hairy to get to, but not bad. Not terribly far from the interstate exit and easy to find. We would stay her again. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Motorhome.

CG roads are gravel and are muddy if it has rained. Many trees so it's not Sat friendly. This CG does not have Cable TV as listed on rvparkreviews.com. They have not converted to digital, so if you want Catv you must notify the cable co for a box. I'm not sure if you are charged for the box, or if they would even provide for one night. The turn to exit going south on I-81 is a bit tight. We probably will use another CG in the future. We camped at Falling Waters Campsite in a Fifth Wheel.
