As others have said previously, campground is off the interstate a ways, then approximately 1.5 miles down a progressively narrowing farm road. It gets so that you think you must have missed the place as signage is nearly nonexistent. But once you do find the place you're turning off the road into basically their driveway. There's the house and several garage/outbuildings with all sorts of stuff and equipment scattered around. It was a mess. Very strange for a campground. Owner and wife both came out and she escorted us to our spot. Site wasn't numbered that I could see but it was a wonderful, grass pull-thru that was actually double long. Perfectly level, with W/E and sewer - for $30! That made up for the strange setting and all of the run-down permanent trailers that were scattered around. Owner left and drove back with a small receipt for me to sign and that was it for paperwork. I don't know what anyone would do here for more than a single night, but maybe there are things in the area. The owners were very nice and friendly, the rate was great for the one night we were passing through, but I can't say we would return here again. We camped at Pinehill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is tucked back in the hills about 10 miles off the interstate. Starts out easy to get to, then quickly, the roads become rougher and more narrow. Once in the park, owner met us and showed us to our site. Internal roads are slightly narrow, but navigable. Some low tree limbs prevented us from extending either of our awnings. Full hookups were available. We only used electric, as we were only there 1 night. It's a little out of the way for a 1 night stay, but there didn't seem to be anything else closer to the interstate. Park was stone/packed dirt throughout. Site was super long, as it was designed for 2 long coaches, one behind the other (if you were traveling with another couple). Park is also slightly "hilly". Owner very friendly, and accommodating. Looked like there were some folks that lived there permanently, or used park as vacation/weekend "get-away". Would consider this a "stop-over" instead of a "destination" park. We camped at Pinehill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is located off a very rough blacktop road badly in need of repair. The road is narrow with low overhanging tree branches that must be dodged. The campground itself was okay but the photos online were much more attractive than the actual site. The office building area was littered with old construction equipment with items scattered all over the place. The owners had barking dogs that barked every time someone passed nearby. The only good/bad news is there was plenty of downed limbs for firewood that should have been cleaned up. It was obvious the owners weren't concerned about having a neat and organized campground. I would avoid this campground in the future. We camped at Pinehill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Access to this campground was a nightmare...very narrow one-lane roads and about 5 miles off the freeway. Mostly full-time residents here with a few pull-throughs for travelers. We camped at Pinehill Campground in a Motorhome.
