We stayed here for two nights while passing through to Kentucky. It is a state park and that is what you get. We did not have a dump but for the cost per night, that was fine and it was only for two nights. The park was quite empty and quiet. We camped at Chief Logan State Park in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $22.00
What a change! I posted the beautiful rating on this park two years ago. It is still a beautiful park, but! We just left there after seven days. It is now a work camp. All of the sewer camp sites are taken by workers' trailers. They leave at 0630, honking to pickup buddies. Most units sit idle on weekends. There are equipment trailers at the sites. The park does not care about tourists or real campers. The shower/rest rooms are terrible. Showers have one control for water flow. The rooms are always wet and not cleaned. Electric service was not always reliable. The tank dump had no working water to wash out the hose. This place really went down hill. We camped at Chief Logan State Park in a Motorhome.
Beautiful park...pay pool..miniature golf..lots of play ground equipment..group shelters. Unfortunately terrible showers/bath, very dirty and left that way. Trash picked up. Countless deer, bobcat and other wild life. Speed limit enforced all the time. Lots of trails; fishing and nature activities. The 8 is only for the baths. We camped at Chief Logan State Park in a Motorhome.
