We reserved in advance and told to call before arrival. Upon calling, we were told to just pick a spot because they weren't actually working today and leave the money in the drop box. Sounded simple enough, accept we reserved a spot with full hook ups and spent over 1/2 hour driving around their parking lot trying to find one...and there were probably only 10 other RVs/campers there. Someone else arrived after us and we offered to add a splitter and share our water hook up because he had trouble finding a spot as well. The next morning there was a knock on our door from the site manager asking if we could shut our water off because he needed to do something to it to share with yet another camper. Not a big deal accept that this is the most we've ever paid for a campsite that obviously needs a ton of work. We went in order to be closer to the WVU Homecoming game so we accomplished what we set out to do, but I don't think we will return. We camped at Mylan Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an event center with a large parking lot. Hookups are around the perimeter of the parking lot. When we arrived there were no events and the lot was empty so we parked parallel and therefore had a pull thru. This worked for us as we have a large MH with a tow. All utilities worked fine. Very quite at night. Route 19/24 Chaplin Park Road is narrow and has NOT had the trees trimmed in a long time. We often drove in the middle road and the trees still rubbed on our coach. I am not talking about a few leaves but branches that can damage your coach. Until this is corrected, the access road is not suitable for tall Motorhomes. We camped at Mylan Park in a Motorhome.

Camped in a 35 foot fifth wheel in unnumbered back-in site. "Campground" is a large paved parking lot with an island of a few full utility hook-ups at rear of sites. Sites are level with lots of room for tow vehicle. About 18 good over the air TV stations; no WiFi. Parking lot is lit with high utility pole lights until very early morning. Quiet at night. There is a community center at edge of lot that was open until late evening & which has restrooms.. No laundry. Easy I 79 access. We camped at Mylan Park in a Fifth Wheel.

My son graduated from WVU last weekend. As usual local hotels take advantage of any special events at the University. The event sites were very close and it was great having our camper to entertain friends and family. The camping area is a giant parking lot. All of the utilities worked well and the staff was pleasant. If you need to be in Morgantown this is a convienent place to stay. We camped at Mylan Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pretty easy to get to. Do not turn at the first sign for Mylan Park, go to the second one. We stayed only one night so were told to park along the island which was essentially a pull-thru site. Water, 50 amp and sewer were fine. Sure it is a parking lot but equate it to a nice level paved pad, with no side-by-side sites (i.e. neighbors), in a campground and you realize it is kind of nice. It was very quiet at night. We camped at Mylan Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Mylan Park for one night while traveling up to Lake Erie. $40 is completely overpriced for staying here. When you pull up you contact the office and when they meet you, you choose the site you like. It's a large parking lot with RV hookups, that's it. Power and water were fine, minimal TV channels picked up over the air. It may be a great place for those attending the football games, but for an RV stop, we would have been better off staying at a Walmart parking lot closer to the highway and saving $40. Would not stay there again. We camped at Mylan Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

As others have noted, communications with the community center folks is a bit hit or miss. They did call me back and took our reservation. The facility is a paved parking lot with utilities. Electrical and water were excellent voltage & pressure. Watch for signs as trucks and RVs enter the park separately from cars. The only complaint is the cost of $40/night. For a plain jane parking lot with hook-ups $20 would be more in-line with what we've experienced. However, when visiting Morgantown, your choices are pretty limited and we would stay here again when visiting. We camped at Mylan Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

My family stayed at Mylan Park for a month in March-April 2014. The employees were very helpful and easy to work with. Just go in during regular hours on a weekday and someone should be able to take your payment. Email response before our visit was hit or miss. We were unsure of our dates and they were very flexible - we made an initial payment, then a second payment once we knew how many nights we'd be there. The discount for multiple nights was $20/night. There is nothing special here; it's just a giant parking lot with hookups. It was great for my kids to ride bikes and scooters. I highly recommend Mylan Park if you need a place to stay in Morgantown. The location is very convenient to stores and restaurants. We camped at Mylan Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tried repeatedly to make a reservation; no one returned our calls. Decided to wing it. Directions were somewhat confusing but we did find the park. Had to bang on the door of the community center and then was rudely asked if we had a reservation. Told him the story and we were "allowed" to stay. While all utilities worked well, feel the price was too high. However, would stay again as it's the only place in town! We camped at Mylan Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large parking lot with hookups. Be certain there is no game or other event going on if you want to stay here. I'd say reservations, or at least a phone call to the park, is a must. No one at the office when we arrived and no one came to collect for the evening's stay. We're working out payment via email. No bathrooms, showers, or other amenities. Must be fully self-contained from what we could see. We camped at Mylan Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The RV parking area is on the campus of Mylan Park, a state-of-the-art recreational and educational complex located on over 300 acres of reclaimed surface-mined property just minutes from downtown Morgantown. The paved RV lot, next to the Ruby Community Center, is level, well lit, quiet, and big rig friendly. If you come to Morgantown for a football game or need an overnight stay, this is an ideal location. It is close to I-79 and WV University. The folks that run Mylan Park were very friendly and accommodating. We camped at Mylan Park in a Motorhome.
