We stayed here almost 2 weeks while visiting the general area. This is a great little city campground, convenient to walking/biking trails and is clean and well-maintained. The city staff is very accommodating and helpful if you need anything. Reservations can now be made through the city's web site. The free wifi was quite reliable. Restaurants and a grocery store are within walking distance. A Walmart and Menard's are also within a couple miles. Full hookup campgrounds seem to be in short supply in this area of Wisconsin, so we consider it to be a great find if you are in the area. Campground drive and sites are all paved and very level. Electrical hookup is at the middle of the, so be sure to park so that your electric cord will reach. Some sites have fire rings. We camped at Antigo Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Tips for other Campers:
Be sure to visit Peroutka's sausage shop for some the of best brats, summer sausage, hot dogs and other smoked meats that you can find anywhere. And the Antigo Bakery has some great home-baked treats!
Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $20.00
This is a small RV park next to a town park. There is a lake nearby you can fish in. The road and sites are paved. Sites are first come/first served; no reservations. All sites are full hookup except for one which is water/sewer only. It is right in town so it is very quiet. There is a playground in the park across the street. We stayed here for one night. Good place to stay while you're doing something in town, or just want a place to stop for the night. We camped at Antigo Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.
