Very nice quiet, first come first served campground. Host greeted us upon arrival and told us of things around the area to see and do, gave us the pass codes for the showers (bathrooms and showers are located up by the enterence and beach area) and also offered us a 6 nights get the 7th free. We decided to take her up on the offer and stay a week. We camped on site #11 witch was more then large enough for our 40' 5th wheel. (Various size sites here) This campground is water and 30-50 am only. No sewer hookups. There is a dump station located at the enterance. Checkout is 11am but Plan to arrive early to get a site, they do go quickly! Wifi was not working while we were here (host told us of that). My Verizon internet service was just OK 3G or Lite but ran slow, phone calls were fine as well as texting. We also have Dish service and it worked great. There is a trail system that runs through the campground and to town. Nice bike riding or walking. Also there is a boat launch at the entrance as well. We had a very enjoyable stay! We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Plan to arrive early to get a site. There is a Walmart close by and can take a nice drive to Bay city, take a ferry boat ride to the islands, light houses and ship wrecks. Ashland also Very nice visitors center with hiking trails through it gift shop etc. beautiful murals on the sides of buildings in town too. You can pick up information on all this on the bulletin board just after entering the park check in box on the left.

Was so glad we spotted this little city park as the hiway east was washed out and Walmart would not let you stay there even with major washout east on hiway 2 after major flooding. Beautiful spot. No office. Self check-in but does have a host camper to give you code to restrooms. We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Motorhome.

We were fortunate to find a site right on Lake Superior, since everything is first come first served (no reservations except monthly). Campsites are very large, however there is little privacy between sites.

Bathrooms/showers are dated, but acceptably clean.

Free WIFI was surprisingly good!

The city of Ashland is awesome, offering everything we could ask for.

This is a beautiful, peaceful campground. We will be back! We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Nice quiet spot right on the shores of Lake Superior. The host was very kind and helpful. Nice playground and beach. Easy walk into town. Great value. We would stay there again. Unfortunately first come/first served unless you are staying for more than a month. We were there off season (late June) just overnight and there were several open spots - I'm guessing it fills up quick later in the summer. Price increases to $30/night peak season. We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Siri took us the wrong way initially (6th st) - that road is a dead end and does not access the RV park - follow the blue trailer sign.

An extraordinary RV park in northern Wisconsin with an incredible view of Lake Superior at your feet. Very quiet, dog friendly, family friendly with a quaint little beach and park for children. The city has clean walking trails about, a huge dock for getting closer to the lake and an abundance of dog "poopie" bags everywhere to make cleaning up after your doggie easy. A beautiful place to stay and putz around the south Shore of Lake Superior, tour the Apostle Islands, sightsee in Bayfield, learn about the KIYI ship, even the locals are friendly. Firewood is expensive at the local gas stations, I'd grab some on your way in. Cannot make reservations here but otherwise our family will definitely come back! Did I mention DQ is only 2 blocks away? :) We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive into Ironwood and get a Pasty from Joe's Pasty Shop! You must see Bayfield, it's an adorable little marina town with lots of little shops.

This is a great park in the heart of Ashland. Some of the other reviews I read were not very positive and I'm not sure why. The sites were some of the largest we've ever experienced, most other RV parks would cram two campers in the sites, this park reserved for just one. The trees weren't large, but they are growing. The grounds were very well kept and the park sits right on Superior with a fabulous bike trail that goes for miles around the lake--wish we would have had our bikes! Also, if you are a fishing person, there is a really nice boat ramp adjacent to the park. It's a great location for checking out Bayfield and the rest of the area. We would definitely go out of our way to camp here again. We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

A wonderful little park in the heart of Ashland. No reservations and no plastic accepted. Cash or check. Self register, very easy. Recommend arriving early afternoon to claim your site. Make sure there isn't a receipt on the post at your site. That tells your someone has it already. The park fills quickly by late afternoon. Sites are open and very level. Easy satellite setup. No big trees in the way. Kids can swim from the lake beach very close by. Can't say enough about Ashland. We were so impressed with this small, but very clean and beautiful downtown district. They have maybe 15 +/- outside building wall murals that are simply amazing! Two ladies did them all over several years. Local restaurants are real nice and people there were so courteous and friendly. It is a great place to stay to get to the Apostle Islands tour if you're towing your car. Enjoy! We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Motorhome.

Nice park with a great location in Ashland. Beautiful view of Lake Superior and old iron ore dock. Located next to a swimming beach, boat launch, and a running/walking/biking path that follows the waterfront. The park is open (very few trees), but most of the sites are spacious and look to be able to accommodate larger RVs. The bathrooms/showers were OK. They weren't excessively dirty, but the facilities are older and showing their age. On the plus side, the showers were hot and free. We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Motorhome.

The location is fantastic--right along the lake shore with a sandy swimming beach and boat launch, and also next to the historic giant Ore Dock. The campground is level and grassy. Open sites for good sat signals (as OTA signals are limited). No sewer hookups, but there's a free RV dump for campers to use. Wonderful town! Historic brick buildings, 19 large painted murals (some a full block long!), nice paved bike path along the lake, and shops all within a few blocks. Quiet and peaceful with great sunsets! We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Motorhome.
