Overall Rating:

This is an older campground with spaces fairly close to one another and small side roads to navigate to get into your space. That being said, we were able to get our 40 foot RV in and out of the space which was level. They are opening up some new spaces in the back that are longer and roomier and I think this will be a great addition to the park for big rigs. The park is quiet and in a good location. It only takes a few minutes to get to Baileys Harbor and it is a relatively short drive to the other towns like Fish Creek, Egg Harbor and Sisters Bay. The check-in process was easy and quick and the young man that checked us in was friendly. There is a pool and playground for kids and room to walk your dog. The only downside was trying to hook up our car. We felt we might not have been able to get out of the site without some backing up, so we didn't want to hook up there. The exit road is small and we didn't want to block the road while we hooked up. We chose to go into the wooded back area and block the road there, as there weren't many people staying there and they could go around us the other way. Verizon voice and data services were good here. We enjoyed our stay and would come back hoping to use the new area. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Check out Door County Ice Cream in Sister Bay. Also the Rusty Tractor in Egg Harbor is great for breakfast. Cute place, great food.

Overall Rating:

Quiet, clean and attractive park with very nice owner. Convenient to everything in upper Door County. Many sites occupied by seasonal/permanent units but all well kept. Park had empty sites during the week but weekend was 100% full. Couldn't get a pull-thru reservation for a week even calling 3 months ahead. OTA TV was only 3 channels (Fox, PBS, BBC) and their reception was erratic. Tree cover too heavy for satellite in back-in area but some pull-thrus could probably get satellite coverage. Back-in area had more privacy than pull-thrus which were crowded and barely long enough for big rigs. Wifi didn't work at all until a technician came to install new antennas to get signal through trees into back-in area; then it was good. Numerous potholes were irritating, especially since they took days to dry after rain and the mud was very hard to remove from our truck. If you get a back-in check on which way to enter the park since several sites are angled so that you have to come in the exit road. Not a problem but it's better to know before arriving. The owner said he was going to call us with this information the day we arrived but I called him first to check on something. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff was friendly and seemed extremely knowledgable about the area. Dining recommendations were spot on. Had been raining for several days when we arrived. There were some ruts and potholes in the gravel roads that were water filled. Puddles were still there after 3 days. Site was pretty soft first day, but firmed up by the time we left. Motorhome with towed just barely fit in site. All the pull throughs were the same size so not restricted to our site only. Neighbors also commented on just barely fitting into their site. Power was rock solid. Good water pressure. Sewer fitting low enough to ground to provide good drainage of line. Threaded fitting, no donut required. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely, well-maintained park just a few blocks off Hwy 57. It was quiet, the site was level, and the staff friendly. The wifi was good. There are both shaded and open sites. We only stayed one nite but spoke with a couple of seasonal campers and they couldn't say enough nice things about the park and the management; also that there are the normal park rules and they are enforced. We appreciate that! We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The roads are a little narrow, but all are one way, and easy to figure out once you do it a time or two. Some sites are a little far from the bath house/restroom. Most sites are little tight, a few are larger. We had a pull thru so it was easy for us. Did not use the pool or laundry. Campground is very convenient to things in Door County peninsula. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Travel Trailer.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly staff and they spent extra time with us telling us all the different places to see and where to eat. The park has gravel sites all very level and were spaced appropriately and easy to get into. All the amenities were working and had no issues. We are thinking about coming back in a year or two and spending more time in Door county and we will definitely stay at Bailey's Grove. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very quiet, well run RV park. They cheerfully greet you when you check in and do anything they can to make your stay a positive one. There are sites with shade and sites without. Our open pull-through was just long enough for our 45 foot motorhome but they had extra parking very close by for our towed vehicle. Sites are level, gravel and have grass. Roads are slightly narrow but manageable and sites are angled for easy turning. Good Wi-Fi. Good location that is 1 mile from town on the quiet side of the peninsula. This was second time we stayed here and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Free coffee in morning & popcorn at night. Campground is located in the center of Door County Pennisula & in a quiet area. Sites are level with gravel, some more shadier than others. Nice showers & a very well kept pool area. Playground & fish cleaning station. No cable, but large selection of free movies to borrow & free Wifi! The area has so many things to see & do! Love Door County!! Unless you go back to Sturgeon Bay the only grocery store is in Egg Harbor & is pricey. We bring as much food as possible so we do very little shopping. Restaurants, theatre, kayaking, biking galore.

This is a nice park that seems to stay close to full during the busy Door County tourist season. Staff was friendly and helpful. There appears to be an older section of the park with extensive tree cover where sites are very long. In the newer section (600-700-800) the sites are not as long but wider, so you will have room to park a vehicle alongside. The trees were not as tall in this area and we were able to get satellite reception. All sites seemed to be level gravel with grass between sites, with picnic table and fire pit. Utilities and Wi-Fi worked well. Amenities include a pool and playground and small laundry room. The road configuration is a bit unusual - - if you want to drive to the office or laundry room, for example, you have to exit the park and re-enter from the county road. The road that you have to take to exit from many of the sites is a bit narrow for big rigs, and to make the turns you will be scraping the trees and vegetation on your passenger side. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Had good meals at the Bistro in Egg Harbor. The Peninsula State Park near Fish Creek has an outdoor summer theater (Northern Sky Theater) where you can enjoy light musical comedies several nights a week for a reasonable price. Take in the experience of a traditional Door County fish boil at Pelletier's in Fish Creek.

This campground offers a very nice quiet setting with roomy, mostly level sites, clean well-maintained facilities, and a good mix of seasonal and overnight campers. I detected none of the traditional "friction" between the sometimes-competing interests of the two groups and had pleasant interactions with both the long- and short-term campers. I attribute much of that to a staff who set a great tone by treating all their customers like guests and actively meandering about the campground ready to assist everyone. The heated pool was a great bonus for my family. So many places try to do a pool on the cheap so they can say they have one. This place actively maintains theirs well as they clearly do everything else. The wifi was actually usable at this place! I've paid way more and gotten way less. I'll stay here again when we come back to the area. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park, but take care to watch for the entrance. The interior streets are gravel and a little tight for a big rig. We were escorted to our site on row 800 which was nice and wide with grass between sites. We had no issues with the satellite, but the Wi-Fi was very spotty. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in pull through site #405 and stayed for two nights. The gravel drive was very soft for our motorhome so I had to work a bit on leveling. The site is a nice size with plenty of grass. The park is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms and showers looked clean. The pool also looked nice but we did not use it. The one odd thing is the dump station is on the wrong side. That is, when you enter the park, the dump station is at the corner of the building and you can line up properly when entering the park. When leaving, you would need to almost exit the park and come full circle so you can dump. Then you would need to go through part of the park again to exit after dumping. We ended up paying $15 for a honey wagon service that runs on (I believe) Mondays and Thursdays. We paid $35 per night. I would consider camping here again. We camped in a motorhome. Small, intimate setting. Several permanent sites that are close together, the rental sites are past the pool. Our site had full hookups (free sewer upgrade), awesome Wi-Fi signal, and some trees. There was an open field area at the back where we let our dogs off the leash to run. The owners are great...helped me unhook (first trip with RV) and showed me where everything went. Stayed until I had all my bunks down, water/electric plugged in! :-) Had several suggestions regarding activities etc...we relaxed and just loved our time there! Bathrooms and showers were spotless, too cold for the pool yet! We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Travel Trailer.
