3 Parks near Bayfield, Wisconsin
Aug 2015 - $40.00
The owner assigned us a site with DirecTV service from our mounted antenna. The park was quite hilly but sites were fairly flat. I resented the sarcastic wording on internal stop and speed limit signs. In checking in, the owner asked my if I could behave for 4 days. My appearance is that of a senior citizen! - Bill Strong

Ranks down there with the worst campgrounds we've been in. When we called, we were told they were booked full for the nights we wanted but if we could postpone and come in on Sunday, they would take good care of us. Couldn't make a reservation because they don't take credit cards; wouldn't even write our name down in the book for a site. When we arrived on Sunday, the owner was grumpy and acted like it was an imposition to deal with us at all. Finally, a site materials, a 30-amp, back-in, too short for a 40 ft. rig. First job was to trim the trees so the branches wouldn't scrape the roof and back of the motorhome. The interior roads have deep rutted trenches supposedly for water drainage. Rest assured, driving over them even at a crawl will rearrange everything in your cabinets...an underground pipe would do the job. The sites weren't very level but we managed. The power went off twice Sunday night; too many rigs on the same line and we had to run our generator. On the bright side, the water pressure was good and it was very quiet at night. Definitely would NOT stay here again. - Travelin' Trio

Sites not level. No cable. Wi-Fi OK. Rustic bathrooms. Clean, but no soap. No credit cards. Water connection far from our unit. Not a lot of options in the area. - RebaW
May 2015 - $20.00
This park is on Madeline Island. You will need to take the fairy over. You'll be looking at approx. $130.00 round trip for 2 adults for the fairy ride. This is a nice Wi State Park. Plenty of beautiful views, water so clean it's deceiving how deep it is! Great hiking trails & a wonderful sand beach. The facilities are cleaned twice daily. Like most state parks, the is only electric, but you can fill your camper before getting to your site.
No pump- out at the park, but there is one at the municipal airport on the island.
A truly unique experience for the adventurous type. - rnv
Jul 2012 - $25.00
This a quiet little campground. If you have big rig some spots will not accommodate you. There are no water hookups but they do have potable water at different locations to fill your tank. Campground hosts are very nice people. Out of the way place but full on the week ends. Very nice beach area. Bring enough electric cord as the electric box is shared with two sites. We would stay here again. - TEXASBOY
Aug 2009 - $25.00
A bit off the beaten path, secluded and quiet. All sites on grass with gravel roads. Showers available but are pay, restrooms next door at the NP parking for the Apostle Islands. Close to beach (across road), marina/harbor, and historic fishing works. Hosts very friendly. Nice beach to walk along, clean, sheltered. Can see some of the islands from campground. Most sites open and with few large trees for shade. Tent sites off to side more removed from main camp. - Browndogs2
