Just leaving and not impressed. The fishing pond was awful and not usable. It needs to be dredged and in better condition if you're going to promote it as a "feature/activity". We went to the pool this morning at 9:30am (pool opened at 9am) and every single chair and table was already taken. Best part...NO ONE WAS IN THERE! People clearly left their bags, towels and shoes out overnight and staff just left it there. So many young kids were left to run the Campground with zero supervision. Foul language was being yelled at the pool by children like it was their first language. The big yellow slide was unmanned almost the entire weekend. When a parent finally had enough of all the close calls with kids plowing into each other and went to the top to man the slide, a staff member finally came out to do their job and scolded the parent for helping. Also, if you're going to have "pool rules" please enforce them. I saw plenty of people bring in food, alcohol, etc into the pool area when the #2 rule stated than none of that was allowed. Also there were ZERO activities planned for Friday. This is the first "family Campground" that had nothing to do on Friday. The big pro to the Campground is our site was a great size with lots of green space for our kids. If you decide to chance it and book a weekend, grab site 162. Also good bar food and adult drinks. Camp at your own risk. Permanent campers like to run this place and clearly it's allowed. We won't be coming back. We camped at Quietwoods South Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This was a mistake. This is where parents with a bunch of young kids go for summer vacation. And for them, this is a great place. Water park, playgrounds, pavilions, snack bar. Lots of group camping, with trailers and fifth wheels parked every which way. Tons of kids, bikes, congestion, noise, loud music, fireworks, and everyone has golf carts! For us, it was miserable. The reason for the low score, however, is the internet, or lack thereof. WiFi is one of the most important features for us. When we reserved the site in January, their website indicated they had WiFi. We get there for a week stay to find they no longer have WiFi. None. System down indefinitely, ever since campground opened for the season. No effort to contact us so we could make other plans, and no offer to knock a few dollars off for an advertised amenity they did not offer. Most of the staff are teenagers that have little experience. The check in area is really congested and tight. They have six nice pull through, big rig friendly sites, A-F. I would not recommend F; although a corner patio site, it has all of the chaos going directly by it, and kids and their bikes cutting across the grass. These pull thru sites are gravel, spacious, level and long, with lots of grass, picnic table and fire ring. A-C have shade, D-F have little to none. They are right across from very nice, new restrooms. Utilities worked well. No cable but some over the air channels and most of the campsites could get satellite, although there are several sections that are heavily forested. We camped at Quietwoods South Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

We have been coming to this park for many years and the current staff has only one goal, "to make money at any cost". The reason we starting going to this park was they were a Passport America Park Member. The staff at that time were friendly and the park wasn't full of "non-rvers". This park allows anyone to pay the daily fees for the water park and they pile into this place. When we first started going here the use of the water park was supervised by park personnel at each location. They controlled when you entered the water slides, when you came down the water slides, etc. Now it is completely unsupervised chaos! Adults(I use this term only because of their age, not their behavior), unsupervised children running from one water activity to another, screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs, and then jumping into the pool. Most of the time they are jumping over young children already in the pool. The worse part is seeing many so-called adults doing the same thing. Music is played over loud speakers that drown out your ability to communicate with anyone more than a couple of feet away. At no time does any of the management personnel take action to control this chaos. The pool area is the focal point and covered tables are reserved by individuals who place towels, bags, etc. on them and then they disappear. Often the 1-2 hours we spend "supervising our grandchildren at the pool" these individuals who have reserved the few covered tables & chairs never return. When the original owners were in charge this type of behavior wasn't accepted, but it appears their children are now running the place and their focus is solely on making money. The park only has around 6 full hook-up sites for rent and they just installed very nice toilets and showers right behind these sites. Unfortunately, there is a constant flow of campers short cutting through these sites to use this new facility. Barking dogs "often running free" were all over the place. We camped at Quietwoods South Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is average. Access to some of the amenities is restricted because of the HUGE numbers of children using those amenities. Not a park for older (non-children) folks, during peak season. New restroom facilities are topnotch/ clean. Pull-through sites are very long, grass and gravel, and level, extremely wide by our standards, though the park only has a handful. Not an overly friendly park to big rigs. More suitable to smaller trailers, small 5th wheels, tents. Fortunately we had a pull-through at the far end so away from the masses of people. WiFi is bad, worked for a couple of days then went to nowhereland fast. Pool(s) are overwhelmed by kids (many kids!) making it not pleasant for childless and older folks to enjoy. They have a waterpark theme (slides, etc.) and a very strict control system for accessing (wristband). On the other hand, today we came back to the park and there were a TON of cars (non-registered visitors) using the pool(s). It was a madhouse. Too many visitors to their facilities that it overwhelms their amenities. Fortunately where we parked, it WAS quiet, (away from the pool). The dumpsters tend to get full fast and smell bad quickly. Those parked next to them, can expect tons of flies. Park staff is young/teens and not too friendly. Saw a couple of younger folks mowing, but basically not very visible. When we checked in, the teenager told us the wrong way to enter our site, we had to make another loop to get righted. We probably wouldn't come back again, only because we're not in favor of large groups camping together, etc. We camped at Quietwoods South Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with previous comments. Positives: Nice restaurant and bar with good food and drink at cheap prices. Negatives: Teenage summer help running the place. A small pool with 100's of kids and adults running, jumping and throwing each other in. An accident waiting to happen with no supervision. Drive carefully with kids flying around on bikes and not paying attention. Very inconsiderate campers with dogs running loose. Naturally they 'do their business' on your site and won't clean it up when told. It might be nice during the week, but I would never go back there on a weekend. This is a very nice campground with full services and then some -- including a nice store with plenty of supplies, swimming pool, restaurant, bar, and more. The folks running this place are very customer service oriented. Our biggest problem, like so many other campgrounds, is that we state we need good internet because we are travel writers. They tried to accommodate us; however, even then, it works, but, mostly very poorly, and sometimes not at all. Only other problem was this morning when their lawn folks came in - no problem -- would expect them to keep the grounds nice. But for whatever reason, they kept utilizing our camping spot as a turnaround zone, over, and over, and over. Though we were trying to work, we finally left the campground, as it became sooooooooo annoying. Nothing about "quietwoods" with those guys. On one hand, we had a fun time at this park the weekend before Halloween. It was near capacity and they had crafts, hayrides, trick-or-treat. The area high school was sponsoring a haunted house. Where most campgrounds that I have been to are struggling to keep going, these people keep a crowd and manage to have fun. The playground was large. We got one of the last sites with a sewer hook up. The quality of sites varies greatly. Some of them are wind-tunnels out in the wide open and others are secluded. On the other hand, the staff here ticked me off. I asked for the Passport America rate and they told me, "We're running a special. You aren't gonna get any cheaper than that!" and charged me $74 for three nights. When I went to add a day the passport America rate was $22.50. For those of you who aren't good at math $67.50 is less than $74 that she charged me for 3 nights. We went there hoping for Wi-Fi, which was advertised. We had 4 bars at our site, but it was down. They said they reset the router and that was all they could do. It did not come up at all for the 4 days we were there. My husband went to the bar to watch the world series at 9:45 they closed down with the score tied in the 7th inning because the haunted house was ending at 10 PM, so they were closing up. One of the washing machines took my money. They sent a repair man, but never offered to refund my $1. He unplugged and plugged it in and it showed my time on it, but by then I had already started a different machine. One of the family members of the owner's started a brush fire that required a visit from 4 fire trucks on Sunday morning. It was secluded and no one was at risk. Many sites appear to be permanent or annual rentals. Those are shaded. Apparently a newer section is generally available for shorter stays. That area is not shaded and has large pull through sites. However, those sites are very near the trash dumpsters and there are several of those. If the wind is from the right (or maybe I should say wrong direction) the stench is so overwhelming that we could not stand to be outdoors. If you can get a site further from the dumpsters, it would be an okay place. We camped at Quietwoods South Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a good park, big rig access, although the roads getting there are a little narrow for large motor homes. We were assigned a long pull through that was out in the open. It was not very level though, it took us awhile to solve that. A lot of sites are hidden in the trees where it's always shady. They recently added a big water slide, so this is a great park for families with kids. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's not a very strong signal. It's about 45 minutes to Green Bay, about 20 minutes from Sturgeon Bay. Great place to explore! We camped at Quietwoods South Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Large, mostly open park. Some semi-permanent. Great area for families(pool, playground equip, ball fields, etc.) Catch & release pond. Game room, cafe, and store on premises. Laundry room also. This is more of a destination spot as it is 20-30 minutes from nearest Door County attraction. We camped at Quietwoods South Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
