This is a mom and pops campground. It is not a resort, but a good old fashioned RV campground. The hosts are very courteous and helpful. A restaurant and bar are on the property, and the food was good. The laundry was clean and reasonably priced. The sites were grass and level with ample room for slideouts. It is a quiet campground. It is great for an overnight stop or for a few days resting. We stayed here in a 39 foot fifth wheel and would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Frontier Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our site was long, grassy and level with 30 amp service, water and sewer. The restrooms were quite a distance from our site. Showers were 50 cents, water flow was good but the floors were not clean and the facility dated. It was quiet and peaceful at night. We visited the Apostle Islands from there but it was a significant ride to Bayfield for the tour boat. There is not much else to do there. There were some off roaders at the campground and it seems that it is the big draw for this location. It is a good place for an overnight stay We camped at Frontier Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a wonderful find. The entire campground is very level and all grass and trees. There are no side by side hookups. The interior roads are gravel and grass. The office is in a combination gas station and sports bar with a very friendly staff person. They have a playground and basketball court and the campsite is surrounded by open fields and woods. All the RV sites are pull-through and are located well off the highway. It is located about 9 miles from a local Casino. A great overnight stopping point. We would stay here again We camped at Frontier Campground in a Motorhome.
