15 RV Parks near Chetek, Wisconsin
Jul 2009 - $32.00
Park is mostly well maintained seasonal/permanent with approximately 15 transient sites + rental cabins. Office located in tavern/marina. Sites are level dirt/grass. Drainage during rain could be better, but not a huge problem. Water connections are doubled on one post so one unit will have water connections on wrong side, requiring long hose run under/around. Resort is clean. Most activities center around fishing and other water activities. We were there week before July 4 so very busy. - joez
Jul 2005 - $23.00
This is one park of many in the busy fishing city of Chetek, location is right on the lake, staff was friendly and helpful. They are a full-service campground. If your a fishing person, this campground will get you in the center of the action, with rental boats, firewood, playground, and even a cocktail lounge, something for everyone. - traveling faemer
Jul 2016 - $17.00
This park is everything we expect in an Rv park. First, it is breathtaking in its beauty. Tall trees, green grass, secluded from traffic and noise. Seconds, this park is loaded with amenities. A pool, basketball court, pedal cars, bouncy pillow, volleyball court, mini golf, and lots of paved roads to ride your bike. Third, this park has lots of seasonal sites, which we despise, but this park has the most gorgeous seasonal sites. Each site is beautifully landscaped with each site tastefully done with porches and gazebos. The management of this park truly cares about how this park looks. Fourth, this park is reasonably priced. They do not charge for extra people in your rv. And if you use your passport discount, like we did, you will save even more. Fifth, the management takes care of any issues you have right away. We had an issue at our site and within moments, someone came and took care of it. Wonderful!
Be advised, however that there is no sewer at your site. You will have to use the dump station when you leave. This park is wonderful and we definitely will return. - Perfection expected
May 2013 - $33.00
Family friendly. Bouncing pillow, playground. Polite operators. Only complaint is some playground equipment could use some updating. - Coop123
May 2013 - $33.00
The jumping pillow is great for younger kids. A bit pricey for the use of it though. Overall a good place. Lots for kids to do. - KarenL1
Aug 2017 - $26.00
Nice small park, 24 sites only 4 night at a time sites. Great owner's. All of the seasonal campers that I talked to were very friendly. I will be back the Lord willing. There is a trail through the woods to walk the dog. If you stay six nights the seventh is free. Nice restrooms and a game room, one set of washer and dryer. - Shiftless
Aug 2015 - $25.00
We stayed for 5 days while attending a nearby wedding. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cost was really reasonable for full hookups and was a nice space with beautiful grass. My husband looked at the restrooms and said they were spotless. The other campers were mostly long-term seasonal so it was really quiet. They offered ice and wood for a small cost. The camp had a really nice playground and an area to gather and picnic. The restroom building had foosball and air hockey game tables. - mountainfan
Jun 2013 - $28.00
As with most campgrounds in this area many of the sites are seasonal. There are only 18 non-seasonal sites and some of those are only suitable for tents or very small campers. Lots of shade as the entire campground is covered in trees. Sites are relatively small and close together. Some of the seasonal sites have more room but the waterfront sites are packed. Satellite is impossible from any site. Cable TV and WiFi are an extra charge. Cable selection is good. WiFi was usually fast with occasional slow downs. Very fishing oriented location. Boat ramp and docks for campers. Boat rentals available. No sewer hookups but he provides a dump it yourself honey wagon - basically a holding tank towed behind a garden tractor. - glenthompson

Buck 'N' Beam's is located on a paved county road near town and with several resort lakes nearby. We arrived just after lunch and were met on the drive by Mr. Owner. He helped us back into a spot in the corner, bordered by lush pine growth. We had 50 amp & water, no sewer hookup. The wide gravel driveways were slightly rough, but being graded into shape by Mrs. Owner. A couple with 2 small children were traveling with us and they were given a secluded tent spot near us. The campground made a spot just for them, including a fire ring and picnic table that had never been there before. Our spot was level side-to-side and front-to-back and had grass on both sides, with ample room for our slides. Our picnic table was shaded by the pine trees and very bug-free. Although the little kids followed chickens (pets?) around through the trees for hours on end. The campground has a tavern that serves delicious pizza and short orders. I was worried about the noise, but they were no more noisy than any other restaurant would have been. A band played country music on Friday night, with no admission charge. Buck & Beamer are the names of the dogs that the camp is named after, and a couple of friendly Bassets greeted us noisily, whenever we approached the office. The restrooms were spotless all the time we stayed, 15 days. The showers cost about $3.00, but only take four quarters at a time, so we had to exit the shower stall to refill the coin machine about three times to finish washing and rinsing. The owners and everyone else there were very helpful and friendly, making us feel like we were with family within a couple of days. We would (no, make that WILL) stay there again. - Paul Harsin
Jul 2015 - $25.00
We stayed two weeks in our 35 foot motor home. The driveways are gravel. Most sites are nearly level. We stayed on site 7, next to large pine trees. Most sites are near trees, but not shaded. The sites are very wide, with grassy lawns.
The office doubles as a bar, with a very small camp store. They have a bag-toss tournament on Thursdays and one night, a small band played till 11:00 PM.
They have a small playground, away from the camp sites. This is near the county road, so parents should supervise little ones.
The owners are very friendly and accessible. One met us and called me by name as we pulled in the first day. This friendly, personal contact was the same with every employee.
The campground is dog-friendly, with two Bassett residents who wander over to say Hi, but don't get in the way.
The only downside is the lack of sewer hookups, but campers can use the dump station near the exit.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again, and recommend it to you. - Paul Harsin
May 2014 - $30.00
I had a great stay at this campground. I stayed for 4 nights and had a different but good bartender each night. This is a new Campground and Bar. The sites are level. The water has an orange tint to it. That is a small problem for that area. The RV inline filter won't strain it out. I met the owner and he was also very friendly. They are also Motorcycle and ATV friendly. Trail access from the Campground they say. I would definitely stay here again! - thetonz
Jul 2010 - $15.00
This is an awesome gem for the county. What used to be a dump and was neglected has been taken over by the local township. They have done a great job at renovating the park and starting to modernize it. They have added water to most sites, sewer to some and over hauled the electrical system. New restrooms and showers, however not well maintained during the weekend. The sites are tight and the roads are tight, some pruning of trees and strategic culling would make the campground more accessible. We were here in a 30' 5th wheel, it was scary driving through but possible. - JasonW
Jun 2017 - $34.00
Husband and wife recently purchased. Very pleasant and helpful. Previous owner had the property for 18 years. The park was very clean. WiFi was strong. Cable TV is included with almost 200 channels available. - Franko M
Jul 2012 - $30.00
The 8 pull through sites are gravel and level with easy access. The power is only 30A and tended to low voltage under load, at least at our site. Our surge protector shut us down several times when we added a load, like the microwave oven, and we ended up bypassing it to keep the power on. Fortunately we didn't need air conditioning. The owner was quite friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent. - Ned
Sep 2010 - $28.00
A hidden gem. A great find according to DW. Not a lot to do but antiquing nearby in Turtle Lake and in other communities. A TERRIFIC farmer's market on Thursdays. A good place to chill or to overnight. Owners are salt-of -the earth and we enjoyed the locals with great hospitality. Very pet friendly according to Rascal. A 10 if they had 50 amp, but we had mostly cool weather and rain so no big deal, but the weather broke from mid 90's the day before we got there. - Saltydog44
Aug 2012 - $25.00
Rate was for our RV Club. Rate normally $30 first night, $75 next three night. Large 40' X 80' grassy sites. Only 3 years old so trees are small. Friendliest, most accommodating owner we have ever met. Free Wi-Fi excellent signal. Great fishing lakes to N, W, & E all within 5 miles. Definitely will go back. - sgtpp214
Jul 2008 - $20.00
The park is an older park, with trees that make it very difficult for a larger unit. There are only 3 travel sites, the rest are seasonal. The restaurant/bar is clean and they have a great fish fry. The bathrooms are very old, but clean for their age. The owners are truck drivers, so they are only around Wednesday thru Saturday. This is a diamond in the rough, don't be scared by it if you can fit into the sites. - JasonW
