This site is typical for fairgrounds. Camping in a field with full hookups. We just overnighted here. Power and water were very good. Excellent TV and satellite reception. Wi-Fi available but it's not close by so a good antenna is needed. Very fast connection once connected. Somewhat tricky to pull into the fairgrounds as there are no signs to direct you. I had the map of the fairgrounds from the web site to help navigate. Pricing is a bit odd, $20 for a 30 amp hookup and $30 for a 50 amp. I thought the differential was a bit high. Self register and pay in a drop box. No envelopes or forms so I had to provide my own. Fair is in early to mid July so avoid it then. We camped at Fair Hill Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Followed the directions given in a previous review (got off US-53 at exit 99 E, took Hwy. S to Rt. 124 south and turned at Edward St. between the YMCA and a school) and had no trouble getting here. Google will definitely get you lost. Sites are at the back of a field on the fairgrounds. Woods are behind the campsites. We were the only ones there, so we had the whole place to ourselves. The groundskeeper, greeted us when we arrived and told us to let him know if we needed anything. We had full hookups, and everything worked fine. Had 3 lines on our AT&T phone, and our portable Wi-Fi hotspot worked well. Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Fair Hill Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Very easy to find from US-53 exit 99, east not quite 2 miles on Hwy S to south just over a mile on 124. A turn lane forms, take a left on Edward St (its between the YMCA and a school), fair grounds on right. Very good value for a 30 amp full hookup site. Rates are $10 no hookups, $15 for 20 amp electric only, $20 for a 30 amp FHU and $30 for a 50 amp FHU, we opted for just using 30 amps. Plenty of fairly level grass sites to pick from. We spent two nights alone, but its a nice area so no problems. Verizon cell and broadband (4G) excellent. TV via batwing was also very good. Very quiet at night. Great on site worker, came over and asked if we found everything OK. He also asked if we wanted a picnic table, which he then delivered to us. Very nice table built by the high school shop class with the Farm Bureau supplying the materials. Wished we could have stayed longer. Lots of nice pubs and saloons to pick from. The Irvine Ghost Pub is an interesting stop and has good prices, it is near US-53 on W River St, Bus-29. We camped at Fair Hill Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
We stayed here one night and it was a good overnight stop. The fairgrounds are difficult to find, having to drive around town some. The campground is some what unusual because the sites are not clearly marked. There was only one other camper there so that really wasn't an issue. The grass campground is level. There was a person who was working at the fairgrounds and he was helpful in helping us select a site. There are no bathrooms. The payment is a self serve system and there isn't an attendant. We would stay here again when in the area. There is a brewer within walking distance and they provide excellent tours--a lot of free samples. We camped at Fair Hill Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a surprise. Difficult to find in that there is no signage indicating an RV park from the road or even within the fairgrounds. When we arrived there were no other campers so it appeared an open meadow until we were close enough to see the electrical hook-ups. There are 28 sites listed on the webpage and additional non-traditional sites throughout the grounds. It is a bit confusing to find an appropriate site if you do not require full hook-ups. I still wonder if we parked correctly, but as there is a simple fee box and no host, I guess I will never know. It was nice to walk among all the fair buildings when the fair was not in session. The fairgrounds are walking distance to both downtown and the brewery (wonderful brewery tour and free samples). We would camp here again. We camped at Fair Hill Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
