Sep 2016 - $22.00
Nothing special. Adequate as a one nighter on a road trip. Close to highway. Limited number of sites with water and electric hookup. Asphalt pads are fairly close together. Some road noise but not too bad. There is a 24 hr. a shuttle between the camp ground and the casino that runs every 10 to 15 min. Office was closed but self check in was straightforward just make sure to have cash or a check. Save $5 by becoming a TLC member before registering. - JABMPM
Jul 2016 - $20.00
Perfect spot if visiting the Casino. Friendly service, great price with Players Card. Exceptional showers and restrooms. No sewer but there is a dump stations. Over 29 stations on TV antenna, Sites are incredibly tight though- didn't know if our slides would go out without hitting the electric hookup. Definitely crowded our neighbor with our two slides out. Even though the sites are small it is a great place to access the casino. Player card evidently gives access to the hotel swimming pool too. - NanciRV
Jul 2015 - $20.00
Smaller park, only 16 pads can accommodate big rigs, no pull thru. 30/50 amp service/water/dump station on site. Office hours 8am/4pm. Bus to casino every 15 min. Very nice and helpful manager.Free firewood. Would stay again for sure. Pets allowed. - mm_1 eagleriver wi
Jul 2018 - $18.00
Only stayed one night as it was along my way home. However, very beautiful site and there is a bar and food and other amenities that make it attractive. Would be interested in visiting the site again. My sight was open and in close proximity to others. It may be helpful to review a camp map and schedule ahead of time to have a more private site, or perhaps one with some shade trees (it summer and hot). - Vietnam Veteran
Aug 2016 - $18.00
The owners built this place by themselves starting in @ 2003. It is immaculate. I don't remember the site number but it was right across the lot from the saloon/restaurant. This is a place to go to just sit back and relax. I have no tow but the site was long enough for a long tow. - Homawy
Aug 2016 - $34.00
30/50 AMP with water, almost all permanent sites. Nice (loud on weekends) bar. Lots of ATVers. Have to travel a few miles of poor roads to get here. Nice playground. Would not stay again due to no full hook ups for the price paid. Pull thru sites. - Landyachty
Jul 2015 - $17.00
Campground is mostly seasonal. Not too many spots for travelers. Only one that would fit us. Very close to our neighbor. Grass with table and fire ring. No other amenities but playground. No Sewer at all. Very off the beaten path. Wouldn't return. - jcpjane
Aug 2018 - $30.00
Traveling thru Wisc. and saw Trutle Lake had a campground and we were ready for a rest. Pulled into the campsite of our choosing. Had water, sewer, and elect. so were very happy. Went to the swimming pool and the only one there at first. The pool was nice and being from a resort who took care of a pool this one was v. good and the showers were very clean and felt good. This was a good experience. Even had tree for shade. - kaths
Aug 2016 - $31.00
I am surprised that this park has no reviews since I was here 3 years ago. As during a last couple visits, the park was only 1/3 full with most of those being extended stay customers. According to the lady at check in, the park fills up on summer weekends. Once again, we had a long, fairly level, dirt/gravel, FHU site. The sites are well spaced with about 20-25' between them While there is no cable TV, there are very few trees in the park so most sites are satellite friendly. The WIFI worked well for us until it seemed to turn off (possibly when the office/liquor store closed). The bathroom and showers are old and reasonably clean enough but probably inadequate if the park is full. The pool is about 20' x 40' and appeared to be heated. I saw nothing else recreational in the park. There are recycling bins by the bathhouse. The staff we dealt with was friendly. - Jerry S
Jul 2013 - $27.00
This is our 3rd year in a row staying here. Most of what I said in my previous review still holds. We stayed on a Monday night in July and the park was maybe a third full. Most of those were extended stay customers. We had a FHU, pull-through site. To clarify my last review per a conversation I had with one of the extended stay customers. Even though the long PT sites have 2 separate sets of W&S utilities but 2 electric boxes (one box is 30 Amp, the other is 50 Amp)in the middle of the site, only one RV is put in each site. She also said the park was packed over the weekend. So, you may want to call ahead if you plan on staying here over a summer weekend. As indicated by signs near the park entrance, you check in at the liquor store in the blue building. There is no shade, cable, or laundry. Most sites are open for satellite. The WiFi worked OK for us. We were able to enjoy the pool on a warm day. - Jerry S
Jun 2017 - $34.00
Husband and wife recently purchased. Very pleasant and helpful. Previous owner had the property for 18 years. The park was very clean. WiFi was strong. Cable TV is included with almost 200 channels available. - Franko M
Jul 2012 - $30.00
The 8 pull through sites are gravel and level with easy access. The power is only 30A and tended to low voltage under load, at least at our site. Our surge protector shut us down several times when we added a load, like the microwave oven, and we ended up bypassing it to keep the power on. Fortunately we didn't need air conditioning. The owner was quite friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent. - Ned
Sep 2010 - $28.00
A hidden gem. A great find according to DW. Not a lot to do but antiquing nearby in Turtle Lake and in other communities. A TERRIFIC farmer's market on Thursdays. A good place to chill or to overnight. Owners are salt-of -the earth and we enjoyed the locals with great hospitality. Very pet friendly according to Rascal. A 10 if they had 50 amp, but we had mostly cool weather and rain so no big deal, but the weather broke from mid 90's the day before we got there. - Saltydog44
Aug 2012 - $25.00
Rate was for our RV Club. Rate normally $30 first night, $75 next three night. Large 40' X 80' grassy sites. Only 3 years old so trees are small. Friendliest, most accommodating owner we have ever met. Free Wi-Fi excellent signal. Great fishing lakes to N, W, & E all within 5 miles. Definitely will go back. - sgtpp214
Aug 2016 - $46.00
1 mile gravel and washboard road leading into camp. Had to travel 5-10 mph. However, nice camp. About 90 seasonals with family. Resort type camp. No cable. No air TV. WiFi is $3 per night for one night. Concrete pad.
Will stay here again. - Sir_Charles395
Sep 2014 - $39.00
We stayed here for a week. It is a wonderful, secluded campground. The management is super friendly, even remembered first my name from the day we arrived. The shower facilities are the only draw back, 8.5 at best. We would definitely stay there again. - Boyds nest
Aug 2011 - $35.00
This was previously a KOA Campground and is now under new ownership. Campground has many "seasonal" campers. Our site was site #76, which you accessed down a narrow dirt path road. To our surprise our campsite was angled wrong for the one dirt road we entered on. we had to drive to the end of the campground where the owner told us there was a turn around. The road to the turn around area was VERY narrow and I barely got my normal sized RV trailer between the trees. Once we reached the "turn around" we discovered is was an over grown open spot in the field. If there had been any recent rain, we would have gotten stuck. Once we turned around and headed back down the road, we were able to back into our site. The site was cement pad nicely landscaped, but many sites were nothing more that a grassy opening in the woods. Wi-Fi was almost non exsistent. Pool was green, bathrooms were clean, but showers need some work. The space between our camper and the lake was very overgrown with no access to the lake behind our camper, which was suppose to be lake front. Road into campground is about 8/10 mile gravel. Overall, the owners are working hard to make this a good campground, but I fear when we return next year, it will be filled with seasonal campers, and no room for temps like us. - JaycoJoanRick
Aug 2016 - $38.00
Very nice campground if you want to be on the water. Lake sites plenty wide and most long enough. Pull throughs have shade with big trees. Easy walk to downtown with couple good eating places and grocery store. - Rving2do
Aug 2010 - $30.00
For years we passed by this campground on our way to Hayward and thought we should stay sometime. We finally did stay and we really enjoyed this campground! Campground host was super friendly. Our site #1 was right on Shell Lake and next to the boat launch. Sites all seemed very spacious. Our site wasn't very level and water and electric were quite a distance (used both hoses and electric cables). Bathrooms/showers were lacking cleanliness and privacy and my kids didn't like the bugs located within. Swimming was fun both by our camper and at the public beach located right next to campground. Water is clear and shallow for quite a distance. - antigua195ck
Aug 2008 - $25.00
We liked this campground a lot. The front row is right on the water - great views. The middle row offers lake views also, but I would advise you to get in the middle of this row since there is shade there. Not alot of shade on the ends of this row. Third row is mostly shaded, Fourth row mostly shaded and faces parking lot. All spots fairly level. Great bath/shower house - very clean and thoughtful details like plenty of hooks, hanging soap/shampoo rack, etc. Good access to downtown. As part of the municipal complex you are right next to a great sandy beach, playground, a new band shell/pavilion (with occasional performances scheduled). Also plenty of boat docks for boating and fishing. Good fishing in this lake. Kids catch a lot of little fish right off the dock. We saw more serious fishermen catching big fish - we saw one big muskie caught. Close to hospital & medical. There is good cell phone coverage. No wireless access, but library is within walking/biking distance and offers free wireless and also access to library computers to check your internet. Weeknights seemed pretty quiet, but weekends had a little more nighttime noise - turn on your fan. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again. - sh4295
Oct 2016 - $28.00
Buck 'N' Beam's is located on a paved county road near town and with several resort lakes nearby. We arrived just after lunch and were met on the drive by Mr. Owner. He helped us back into a spot in the corner, bordered by lush pine growth. We had 50 amp & water, no sewer hookup. The wide gravel driveways were slightly rough, but being graded into shape by Mrs. Owner. A couple with 2 small children were traveling with us and they were given a secluded tent spot near us. The campground made a spot just for them, including a fire ring and picnic table that had never been there before. Our spot was level side-to-side and front-to-back and had grass on both sides, with ample room for our slides. Our picnic table was shaded by the pine trees and very bug-free. Although the little kids followed chickens (pets?) around through the trees for hours on end. The campground has a tavern that serves delicious pizza and short orders. I was worried about the noise, but they were no more noisy than any other restaurant would have been. A band played country music on Friday night, with no admission charge. Buck & Beamer are the names of the dogs that the camp is named after, and a couple of friendly Bassets greeted us noisily, whenever we approached the office. The restrooms were spotless all the time we stayed, 15 days. The showers cost about $3.00, but only take four quarters at a time, so we had to exit the shower stall to refill the coin machine about three times to finish washing and rinsing. The owners and everyone else there were very helpful and friendly, making us feel like we were with family within a couple of days. We would (no, make that WILL) stay there again. - Paul Harsin
Jul 2015 - $25.00
We stayed two weeks in our 35 foot motor home. The driveways are gravel. Most sites are nearly level. We stayed on site 7, next to large pine trees. Most sites are near trees, but not shaded. The sites are very wide, with grassy lawns.
The office doubles as a bar, with a very small camp store. They have a bag-toss tournament on Thursdays and one night, a small band played till 11:00 PM.
They have a small playground, away from the camp sites. This is near the county road, so parents should supervise little ones.
The owners are very friendly and accessible. One met us and called me by name as we pulled in the first day. This friendly, personal contact was the same with every employee.
The campground is dog-friendly, with two Bassett residents who wander over to say Hi, but don't get in the way.
The only downside is the lack of sewer hookups, but campers can use the dump station near the exit.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again, and recommend it to you. - Paul Harsin
May 2014 - $30.00
I had a great stay at this campground. I stayed for 4 nights and had a different but good bartender each night. This is a new Campground and Bar. The sites are level. The water has an orange tint to it. That is a small problem for that area. The RV inline filter won't strain it out. I met the owner and he was also very friendly. They are also Motorcycle and ATV friendly. Trail access from the Campground they say. I would definitely stay here again! - thetonz
Jun 2018 - $40.00
Beautiful, quiet campground with lots of grass and shade. Sites are large with a picnic table and firepit. WIFI is good. Restrooms are very old but clean. There are three horses to pet and rides are available for kids. Third generation owners are very nice. - MkvCjv

Great campground with very nice owner. Great location close to many areas in Wisconsin. The campground is very well kept up. Lots are spacious and offer some shade. Sites are gravel and grass, featuring a fire ring and picnic table. Would definitely stay at this campground again. - SCFKansas
