This is our first time here in 3 years. The new owners have kept this park up well. We had level, gravel, pull-through that was fairly wide. This describes most of the RV sites. There are also a dozen W&E back-ins on the eastern edge of the park and another half dozen group sites to the right of the entry road. The southern edge of the park has dozens of stored RVs. Some folks might consider this a negative. The park seems to have a lot more extended stay customers than I remember from my previous stays. Some of these appear to be people working in the area rather than vacationing or travelling RVers. There is no cable but there are all the local stations from Madison and most sites appear to be satellite friendly. I found the 802.11 system to be rather slow. An earlier reviewer praised the speed of the system but he was here in April when there were hardly any other customers. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are all in the office building. They are older, but clean and acceptable. The pool is nice but small - 5 or 6 active kids will dominate the pool. There is also a playground that kids were actually using. As others have mentioned, there are 5 fast food places within a 5 minute walk of the park. The wide entry road has a dump station and propane sales. The rate is a bit high for a park without cable and such a small pool. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a nice KOA, but like most KOA's, it is right on the interstate, so there is a lot of road noise. However, it is an easy in and out, the staff was friendly, and the sites are level and reasonably spacious. We would stay here again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Pull through site was barely long enough for coach and car, but was level and wide enough. Interior roads a bit narrow for big rigs and dusty. Utilities worked well. It's a KOA so it is badly overpriced. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $37.00

As other reviewers have reported, this is a very nice campground. We have been coming here since 2009, usually once or twice a year. If I had rated the campground during previous visits, I would have given it a 9 rating because I could never use the free Wi-Fi, and had to rely on my Verizon Hotspot. During some visits, the Wi-Fi didn't even work in the office.

The Wi-Fi problems no longer exist. The campground has changed ownership since last year, and the new owners have upgraded the Wi-Fi system. During my current visit in April 2015, the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. It was very fast with a strong signal. It is the best Wi-Fi that I have had at any KOA. The campground now rates a perfect 10. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Not a bad place for a one night stop, but not long term. The location is a little remote and a little expensive for what you get. The bathrooms were very clean. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

100% pull-through full-hookup sites. A little short by today's standards--we are 50' total with truck and trailer, and were almost hanging out the ends of the site. Easy to get into due to layout of the park. Adequate space for awning and slides if you have them. No shade at any site I saw, weak Wi-Fi signal. VERY pleasant and helpful staff, escorted to site, spray-disinfected the water hookup, helped us line up with sewer, took and returned propane tank for fill. Ideal location for overnight stop, the trade-off is significant road noise from nearby interstate. Otherwise very quiet. We camped at Madison KOA in a Travel Trailer.

A pleasant park to stay in while touring the Madison area. Friendly staff. Traffic noise from I-39 noticeable. We could not connect to the free wifi. Good tasting water. Nice dog park. We enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

This is an extremely well kept campground. In the past, we have not had good luck with KOAs but this one changed our mind. The sites are gravel but level. The bathrooms are very clean with soap provided in the shower. There is plenty of open space for children to play in plus each site is very large. We will definitely stay here again! We camped at Madison KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the nicest KOA's we have ever visited with very nice couple running the place. Lots of things in easy walking distance: Subway, Taco Bell, Burger King and a Wisconsin Cheese shop. Easy in/out close to I-94. Will return.. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice, well-appointed KOA. Sites are gravel and reasonably level, grounds and areas between sites are well-maintained grass. Bathhouse is modern and spotless. Wi-Fi is decent. No cable, but the antenna picked up a strong signal from all of the Madison stations. Friendly, helpful staff delivers firewood and fire rings to your site. There is some shade, but most sites are open and unshaded. Restaurants and other services are nearby. The only (minor) negative is the proximity to the interstate and some road noise. We camped at Madison KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We are not big fans of KOAs but this was a nice surprise. Easy on/off the interstate. It was a bit difficult to find the entrance to the campground because there was no typical giant KOA sign. Turn right after the Subway. The biggest check in area have ever experienced. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had an escort to our site and our escort even sprayed disinfectant on the water hydrant. Some of the sites are close together. We only hooked up electric so cannot speak about the other utilities. Our Verizon phones and MiFi device worked well. Propane service is available and reasonably priced, and will even pick up and deliver for you if you have portable tanks. Fuel and fast food restaurants are right down the street, I was surprised that there were so many weekend campers enjoying themselves because this did not seem to be the typical destination type campground. This campground was more expensive than we would usually spend but we felt fortunate that we found such a nice place for an overnight stop during a holiday weekend. We will return. We camped at Madison KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped here just for overnight heading south. We called a couple of days before we arrived, and the host let us know the water supply was being shut down for the season, so we made sure our tank had enough for the night. We appreciated them letting us know. Nice wide entry, the propane filling station was convenient, so we filled up before we park. It was cold and rainy so we really didn't see much of the park to review it. This was easy on and off the Interstate, level site, it looks like it could feel a little crowded during the season. We did see a fenced dog area with agility type of equipment in it, our pup would have enjoyed it. Sprint and Verizon worked well, clear view of sky for roof top satellite. Don't usually stop at KOAs, because of price, but this one worked for us. We would stay here again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

This was an easy on, easy off I-94; with gas, and dining, etc. nearby. It is also just 15 – 20 minutes from downtown Madison. This KOA is conveniently located, well maintained, and friendly. No cable TV, but several broadcast stations can be picked up on antenna. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed staying at this park. From the entrance, which was nice and wide with plenty of parking to the friendliness of the staff, it was a great first impression & the rest of the stay was equally as nice. I made my reservation online and then realized a week out that I was off by a day, so I called. The staff was very pleasant and willing to correct my problem. The sites were level with grass in between. The place was extremely clean and well cared for. It was a short drive into Madison and we went in daily over our 4 days. My dog loved the off leash dog park. It's nice to let him roam free when we are on the road for months at a time. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.
