Very clean, well maintained park where all sites are level and are pull thru's. We had car repairs in town and had to extend into a weekend. The manager and all the staff could not have been nicer. Very convenient to Madison and the Dells. Absolutely would stay here again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend and the campground was completely full. The campground is easy to get to from the interstate, but interstate noise is minimal. Interior roads are usually easy to navigate, although the crowded conditions made it a little more challenging. Wi-Fi did not work well, but all other utilities were fine. This was our second overnight stay here, and we would stay again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

In the past 10 years, this park has become our preferred RV park in the Madison/Dells/Baraboo area because it meets our wants (pool, satellite friendly sites, usually reliable Internet, and lots of fast food within walking distance) better than other area parks. The majority of the sites are full-hookup, pull through, fairly level, decent size, on gravel pads. The main building contains the office, a typical KOA store, and older but clean bathrooms and laundry facilities. There is no cable TV, but most sites appear to be satellite friendly and there are numerous Madison stations available via antenna. In addition to the small pool, the is a playground and horseshoe pits. As usual, the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Flat, level, pull through gravel and grass site. There was a picnic table. Had a two hour thunder storm; the site drained well. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was freeway noise, but not that bad. Not much shade. We camped at Madison KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice RV park off the interstate. Easy to find. We camped here in our 36' coach. Site was long enough for the toad. Satellite friendly site A-8. Good water pressure. No electric issues. Did not notice any noise from the interstate. Good Verizon signal. Park wifi worked ok for email, but would recommend your own hot spot. Sites are gravel but level. Utilities located conveniently. Park has a nice, small pool. Playground area and enclosed dog park. They do sell propane. Small camp store. Friendly, helpful staff. Usual escort to site. Park is in the shape of a fan, and is all one way. There is a table, and some sites have fire pits. Sites do have a grass area. A few full timers, but no problem. Be careful of the speed bump at the entrance to the campground, especially if you have a low hitch. Would stay here again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fast food within walking distance. Deforest Family restaurant has good prices, and large servings. There is a Camping World in the area, Sun Prairie Vet for dogs and cats.

Upon arrival, the camp hosts welcomed us with genuine smiles. Each was knowledgeable of the registration process and had us on our way very quickly. They took time to make sure we knew where everything was and especially what county we were in, in case of a weather emergency! That was a first for me. We enjoyed the pool: small but clean and refreshing. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Overpriced. We do not expect to pay $55 for a narrow gravel & mud site, narrow access roads and potholes. There was a picnic table, but unable to use as it was in a pile of mud. We asked for an open site with no trees and were given a site with a tree at the back of the park in amongst storage and junk.

We monitored other sites during our 3 nights stay and there were open sites available for all that time. We would have asked to move but we were visiting friends and did not want to spend the time hitching up and moving. Water utility pole very close to edge of site. Wifi very slow to non existent. Park needs refurbishment and as stated not worth $55.

We did fill in KOA survey but not had the courtesy of a reply. We camped at Madison KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Gravel site with a reasonable amount of space between sites and level. No issues with power/water. Some road noise as is fairly close to interstate. Bathrooms were clean; did not use the showers. WiFi OK for checking email, etc. Fire rings were available on request. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Madison was a great town to visit. Take a few minutes to tour the capitol building and the arboretum. Ian's on State Street had very good pizza by the slice.

A very nice KOA with plenty of helpful staff. Campground is extremely clean. Road noise because it is right off 90. Wonderful facilities on site. Can walk to restaurants and a cheese shop or into town. All sites are pull-through. Although a little pricey, we stay here whenever we are close to Madison. Access drive is narrow, opening into a big dirt lot (that if raining will turn into a quagmire). Dirt and dust roads. Dirt and gravel sites. Utilities good; but no cable. Some smaller trees, but mostly sunny sites. Staff was very helpful. Some grass areas to walk dogs, but they cut only part of it. Two off leash dog parks but no shade and no water for the dogs available. Basically this is a big, dirt parking lot. Not much character. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Convenient location to I-90. The staff worked to get us into a longer pull through to handle our motor home and toad. The park is pleasant and well maintained. We stayed her five days getting care for our sick dog while on an extended trip. Madison has excellent vets & animal ER clinic. We got satellite reception from our site and WIFI was good. We liked this park. It is clean with a nice playground area. Our site was level and had a shade tree and nice grass between the lots. The lots are average size and most, perhaps all, are pull thru. We were only here one night but would stay again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
