First, be aware the overnight rate doubles for home Packer games. Small, old park... not very clean and not much grass. Site was pretty level.Spaces tight together. Water/electric only at ours. Might be okay for $20 but definitely not for $76! We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Won't stay here again. I answered no to the restroom and shower questions because if you have a larger rig you will have to stay in the upper section which has no shower or restroom facilities. If you need them, you can hike down the dirt driveway onto the road and then hike another few hundred feet down to the lower section where they do have those facilities. The sites are pull through, but very uneven. As said in other reviews, there is a lot of road noise and dust, and we got to experience the sewer smells when the honey wagon came around to pump several of the seasonal camper's tanks. They have a dump station down in the lower lot, but we couldn't make the turns to get to it, so we used Cabella's down the road. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the "hilltop part of the park". The noise from the highway was horrific! There are no toilets or showers in the hilltop section!! We had to walk down a dirt road, then down the street and back into the main part of the park, or you can drive, to get to the showers. Then to find out you have to pay for a shower was more than a little annoying. The gravel pads were not close to being level. It smelled like sewage the whole time. I guess if you need a place to stay overnight you can, but my suggestion is find a hotel with enough room for your rig and stay there for the night. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Apple Creek had some good and bad points. It's an older campground and has a terrible entry/exit with it being too narrow, especially for multiple big rigs. We got there and then found out that we had to turn around and go to another area that had a separate entrance. In the mean time, other rigs were coming in and we had to wait for them to move before we could exit. I did prefer where we stayed, which was away from the main campground and down the road. The spaces were wider and easy to get a big rig into them. We could also get satellite and it was quieter than the main campground with lots of campers, trailers, and kids. As mentioned by others, there definitely is a dairy odor. It comes and goes. The location of the park is a bit of a drive from De Pere but not unreasonable. The campground itself just looked old and worn and although they seem to want to maintain it, it could be in better shape. It was nice to have the pool since it was so hot. It was clean but not in good repair. They were showing movies in the rec area on a big TV and that was nice. Our space was a little tough to level but long enough that we could manage it. Utilities were good and there was plenty of space to walk our dog and use an area not on other sites. Verizon voice and data were good. Use the directions from the campground to get there once you get off the freeway and don't turn in where you see the RVs up on the hill. The entrance is further down. Our GPS wanted to put us on the frontage road, but we didn't follow it. Glad we didn't. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

A tour of Lambeau Field in Green Bay is a must, even if you aren't a football fan. Also the farmers market in Green Bay was really good. And check out Rico's Family Restaurant in Freedom. Good food and GREAT raspberry pie.

We were here before school started, so we knew it would be busy. However, we were not prepared for an "event charge" that brought our nightly rate up to $78 for one night. At the rates we paid, we did not expect to have to pay for the shower. There is a mega-dairy farm nearby so if you find the smell of manure nauseating, don't stay here. It is constant and pungent, especially on warm days. Additionally, there was a septic smell throughout the park. The campsites are less than 5' from each other, and there was heavy alcohol drinking throughout the park, with kids running wild (no supervision) all hours. Our site was on the end, and the "fire ring" was right next to the road. There is no way we could have used it without creating a safety hazard. The dumpster was overflowing the entire time. The "clubhouse" was dirty, and the bathroom wall was loose where the soap dispenser attached. Basically, it is set up to maximize their revenue, and you are just a transaction. If that's what you want, you'll be happy. We won't be back. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Apple Creek only seems to have less than 30 campsites available for casual or weekend campers. These sites are very close together and next to a VERY busy county road. Loud road noise 24/7! Dump station is very primitive compared to many others we have stayed at. Pool was heated and the grandkids loved it. Just not impressed by any of it. Many seasonal sites looked very messy! Showers cost $ and were nothing to brag about. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly greeting. Nice campground with very good grounds maintenance, mowing, fire pit cleaning, etc. Laundry needs attention. 1/2 washers out of order, and the rest were not clean. We went to town for a laundromat. Restrooms need a scheduled 3 hour walk through. With the number of campers, and the pool, the conditions can degrade quickly. We will definitely return. Not only will AVC's address of 'N3831 County Road U' confuse your GPS, so may following AVCs instructions. The first thing you see is a gravel road up a hill where numerous RVs are parked. When you go up it looks like a private home who's large front yard has been turned into a pull-thru campground? Turns out, that's just what's happened. Its AVCs new hilltop campground, (you need to continue further down the highway to the original AVC campground to register). Note - there is no walkway from the new hilltop CG down to the original CG where all the amenities - restrooms, showers, office, pool, etc are located. You either have to drive all the time or try to walk the busy highway. When we got to the office area there was a noticeable odor of sewage. I inquired and the lady thought the campgrounds sewage collection tanks were being emptied, OK.... I noticed also the mobile septic truck was busy emptying numerous long-term RVers sewage, so maybe that added to the .... ambiance? AVC's RV sites are very close to each other. All sites are back-in; some are difficult to navigate. I surprisingly watched one camper who decided to pull-thru a back-in site; completely knocking down a 10 foot shade tree that was in his trailers way. (it took them 2 tries before they succeeded). The family then drug the tree over to the ditch by the highway. I later inquired at the office if they were aware of this; they said yes, but he was an inexperienced first time camper..... Showers cost 25 cents for 3 mins (Note - figuring out how to adjust the water temperature between ice cold and scalding hot may cost you an extra quarter) AVC had 2 garbage dumpsters, both were over flowing with garbage piled all over the ground. Over-all, not impressed with this campground. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

When we got there to check in, the person behind the desk was arguing with another person and would not even acknowledge us until they were done arguing. On Saturday, we went into the office to let them know the toilet was plugged, and they told us there was no way as they were just in there cleaning 30 minutes earlier. The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in at least a week. They were disgusting. We will never stay there again. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Tent Trailer.

A very family friendly park and it filled up with families on Friday. Our spot was gravel surrounded by grass which was nice except the grass was very tall, needed mowing. Had a back-in site but our last night we had room to back the jeep around behind the camper on the grass and hook it up. Picnic table and fire ring. Strong aroma of manure from surrounding farms. They were doing road work on the highway at night but earplugs worked to dampen that noise. Laundry room was small but clean and reasonable prices. Showers were coin operated. 3 minutes for 25 cents. Office staff were very nice. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Getting to the park is easy; it is right off the highway. There are plenty of activities for kids. The pool area is very nice. What I didn't care for was how cramped together the sites are. One has to be pretty skilled to back a camper in many of the sites. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice campground. Right off I-41 at exit 154. Very wooded was not able to get a satellite signal. Excellent Wifi, the best I have ever had in over 7 years of traveling around the country. The only negative is there are no sewers at the sites, plan ahead and stop at the dump station if necessary. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Most sites only had electric and water.

Passbook America is only good M to F. I'm certain the nearness to Green Bay accounts for the daily rate.

Dust and pig manure prevalent. Turns to mud when it rains.

The only grass I saw was on and around sites, so your dogs are pooping on someone else's site. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

July review was right on. Great family campground with lots to do for the kids. Plenty of room for my 40ft 5th wheel. Rate of $14 a night was for a monthly stay. 11 cents a kilowatt hour for electric. Honey wagon comes twice a week and is included for weekly and monthly stays. Staff was great.

Only two complaints, low water pressure and dusty roads. All in all had a great stay. We camped at Apple Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
