Wow a really beautiful county park that is very well maintained with large spacious sites. The sites and park is heavily wooded and there are some good hiking trails and spectacular views of Green Bay. Great location for visiting Door County and the area. We are planning a return to this nice park. Note: Brown Country does take reservations and does accept credit card payments with the reservations. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Even if you are not a Packer or NFL fan the tour of Lambeau field is interesting and well worth your time. Al Johnson's restaurant in Sister Bay is interesting (goats on the roof) and serves great food.

Because of a scheduling snafu on our part, we arrived on a busy June Saturday with no reservation. The camp hosts worked with us and, with the help of a very kind Ranger found us a good site. (We had begun looking for WalMarts!) The campground is beautiful, lots of trees, close to the water. A walking trail down to the lake is challenging. Bathrooms were old, but clean. We would recommend this campground. . We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Lovely, serene setting with mostly level sites, but an older campground created when RVs were much smaller. Not "big rig" friendly at all. Roads are narrow with lots of overhanging branches that make navigation in a large RV very difficult. No sewer or 50 amp service. Not all sites have even 30 amp service. Summer weekends are Very busy. Checkout time is 3:00. If you have a big rig, you might as well wait til Sunday at 3:00 to come in to find one of a few spots that you can navigate to and use.

Sadly, they do not take reservations. Weekends fill up fast. Campground choices near Green Bay are extremely limited, so we have camped there due to no better choice. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Plenty of hiking trails and several ways to get down to the beach on Green Bay. We got the bikes down and headed down the paved trail to find it joins with paved county roads. Great place to visit Green Bay from and not far from the Shrine of Good Help which is a truly spiritual experience. Contrary to previous posters had no problem with 30 ft RV with a tow vehicle and big turning radius. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Concrete pads for RVs, separate tent area. Some sites not suitable for larger rigs: too short, no pull-throughs. Shaded sites but campground very open, no barriers between sites. Good for stopover. Some noise from nearby highway. Good for launching boat into Green Bay. Laundry also available. Flush toilets, fire rings. Not too far from Green Bay or good stopover on way to Door County. 20 or 30 amp sites. Some water hookups very far. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is as close to pulling off the freeway onto a country road and driving into the woods. This is a cash only campground and there is no CG Host, you just stick your money in a slot and pick a site. Anything 40 and larger will be a tight fit with many difficult turns that could result in damage (almost lost an awning). No lights in the campground coupled with a lot of trees. This is one step above RUSTIC! Not a bad place but we were here when the weather was cool and the 30 AMPs just barely ran one heat pump. Very central to Door County and Green Bay. We were here during a non Weekend Packers game but can imagine this place filling up during a game weekend. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Sites were very unlevel and utilities poorly laid out. The campground has a lot of trees, some making it a challenge for bigger rigs to get into a site. Some road noise. No Wi-Fi but was able to pick up 6 TV stations. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a Brown County park, and has a great playground, picnic area and boat access to the waters of Green Bay. Located just 10 miles north of the city of Green Bay, just off Hwy 57, it's a great stopover on the way to Door County. Easy to get sites during the week, but by Friday night it's pretty much full of weekenders. All sites are blacktopped with a smaller side patio area on each slab, large heavy picnic tables and firerings. Multiple restroom, shower, laundry buildings. Ice and coke machine near entrance. Convenience store within 1 mile of campground too. All sites are shaded, mature trees and lawns. Firewood sales by rangers in the park, due to Emerald Ash Borer infestations in Wisconsin, they wish you do NOT bring in firewood, trying to save our trees in the Northwoods. No WI-FI around, but I did get a good strong aircard signal, and cell phone signals are strong too. Look close at the map provided on the link, if you have a big rig, avoid turning into the smaller circle of sites (3-13) as it's too tight to manuver. There is a sign telling this fact, but some folks miss it. Separate tenting sites are in a loop of their own, rustic with no hookups for $15 a night. And three group sites in that area too for $50. Also note sites #26a and 26b are positioned together for family camping with two rigs together. All sites are first come, first served, no reservations. So you take your chances, but like I said, many openings during the week, with only 10-20 campers in the whole park. We go either on a Thursday night or early Friday morning to get our choice of the best sites. I would honestly say there are only 3 or 4 sites that are sloped requiring leveling blocks, the rest are all level. We have camped here many times, not just the most recent weekend. It's always nice and quiet. We did note one person blew off about three fireworks and cranked his stereo over in the tenting sites, and the rangers were there in about 2 minutes flat. Peace and quiet reigned the rest of the packed to capacity weekend in this nice county park. We camped at Cecil DePeau Bay Shore Park Campground in a Motorhome.
