My wife and I stayed at this campgrounds for quite a few years. Its very clean and the showers are very clean. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful.. All the RV pads are paved and levelish. We stay there every year for about a week. The Rangers are very friendly, nice people to know.. We camped at Boulder Lake in the Nicolet National Forest in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this park and have camped here several times. The sites are large and well separated and the park is very well maintained. There's a very nice sandy beach for families with young children. Sometimes we get TV reception with our RV antenna, sometimes we don't! All of the sites have a paved driveway and most are quite level. We camped at Boulder Lake in the Nicolet National Forest in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

It is a very nice campground. It is hard to get into electric sites unless you come early in the week Tues/Wed. Reservations can be made but far, far in advance! The beach is beautiful and the road is nicely paved which is great for bike riding! This campground would benefit from a playground for the kids! This is one of our favorites! We camped at Boulder Lake in the Nicolet National Forest in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Boulder Lake, one of many campgrounds in the Nicolet National Forest, is a true gem. The sites are very spacious and level. The bathroom and shower buildings are new and very clean. This is the only Nicolet National Forest campground with electric sites, but you are allowed to use a generator if you have site without electricty. There are no water hookups, but many places throughout the park to get water. There are several large group sites in a separate area if you have a big group to camp with. There is no playground, but there are hiking and mountain biking trails and a nice beach. There is a boat landing as well, and good fishing on the lake. If you are looking for game rooms and camp stores, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for beautiful natural scenery in a clean, well laid-out campground, this is the place for you. We camped at Boulder Lake in the Nicolet National Forest in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful, newly redone, fees will be $20 in 2007. Great lake for fishing, but you will need a boat. Sites are all spacious with privacy because of the forest. Not far from the Wolf River, ideal for rafting and canoeing. We will go back with more family and stay a week. Not very busy after labor day. Maybe 20 or so sites with electrical. A few sites will take something bigger than 32 feet. We camped at Boulder Lake in the Nicolet National Forest in a Fifth Wheel.
