This place is almost entirely seasonal campers, with the regulars zipping around on golf carts, beer cans in hand, and us "outsiders" crammed in a dusty row and forced to wear wristbands to identify ourselves. And even though River Bay is miles from the off ramp, it's still very near the interstate so there's a lot of highway noise. For us, it was a disappointment and we got a refund for the second night and left early. They were nice about that. There were a lot of seasonal campers, so the park must be doing something right. But for us full-time RVers, it didn't work. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

We rented a buddy site that was to provide space for two families at $44/night each; a total of $88/night for the site. The space was entirely too small. With one 32' motorhome, a tent and two vehicles we could barely walk around. Branches were not cut back so we had had to do our own cutting or risk scraping our motorhome. The sites were on top of each other and the entire campground was packed. Lots of young adults, loud radios, horns honking and a raceway close enough that you got to hear the stock car races as if you were there. Additionally, there were young teens racing around on golf carts making the roads treacherous. Lastly, there was karaoke every night at the Tiki bar. Quiet hours are supposed to be at 11:00pm, however they played late every night. In fact, on our last night, a staff member came around to "ask" us if it was OK if they continued until 2:00am, breaking their own quiet hour rule. When we communicated that we had small children and that they would have a hard time sleeping he said, "Well, just come over if it's too loud." It was entirely obvious he didn't really care and wasn't really asking, but rather informing us of his decision to bend the camp rules to benefit him. It was so noisy that we could not talk to each other around the campfire without seriously raising our voices. The campground is mainly seasonal and year round residents. Lots of trailers with built on sun rooms and decks. Pool was clean, showers were marginally clean. Customer service was adequate. They did show us to our site. There is a nice park for the kids. We will not stay here again. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

This park was awful. It's not big rig friendly. Park staff had to come out and cut tree limbs so that we could get out. No TV reception and no cable TV. Tents were parked on top of each other. People walked freely through our campsite. The only good thing was the sunset cruise on Saturday. It lasted well over three hours for a cost of $15.00. We would not come here again. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

This campground has very few sites for travelers. It is primarily a seasonal park and is not convenient to anything. The ownership claimed to have wi-fi, but it did not work. We talked to people in the office, who said they had trouble with the wi-fi and that it rarely worked. No television of any kind. Honey wagon for much of the park and there was a constant sewer smell. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on our trip from the east coast to Alaska in our 42' motorhome. We were assured that they had a site for us. The first site was one of the new back-in sites. Impossible to maneuver because it was not at an angle and a small tree was planted close to the gravel on one side and a sign post close to the gravel on the other. Directly across the small roadway is another site - okay to use to back-in if no one is there. But if someone is - forget it. Trailer Life may say that they have big rig sites - trust me, they have very few. Those that they do have, "have been reserved for a year". If you have a big rig and want to stay here, make sure they give you a pull-thru. Having said that - they apparently moved some people around so that we could have a pull-through. We were here over the Memorial Day weekend. It was a nightmare. I think we may have crashed someone's party - the music was blaring ALL DAY long. So much so that we either had to leave or keep all of our windows closed. Not our idea of enjoying our vacation. There were children everywhere, some as young as 8 and 9 driving golf carts all over the place. There were a group of campers across from us that literally did not shut up until after 1 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday night. The music stopped at 11pm, but they continued drinking, yelling and feeding a HUGE bonfire until well after midnight. Again forcing us to completely close up the motorhome. We arent old, fuddy-duddies, but if we're going to pay $44 a night for the "privelege of staying on their private property" (taken from their "rules page"), we would have appreciated someone from the campground making sure that EVERYONE in their campground was given the opportunity to enjoy themselves. What a nightmare and what a long weekend this turned out to be. It is a family campground and I'm sure it was a blast for those families that participated in this 3-day party. But it was inconsiderate and rude of the campground owners to let it go on the way it did. Of course, I'm sure these people are regular campers here, as are most of those that were here this weekend, but we will not be back, nor will we recommend it to anyone we know traveling through this area. Dont take your big rig in. There were so many people here, that we felt safer staying in place until Tuesday when everyone left, rather than taking the chance of trying to get our rig out of here through the children, the golf carts, the other rigs and all the tow vehicles. We were here in a 42' motothome with 4 slides. We camped at River Bay Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.
